Arte Veneziana affronta il 2013 con grande vitalità e dinamismo. Mol-ti sono infatti i nuovi progetti che l’azienda presenta al Salone del Mobile, molte sono le nuove sfi de derivanti da un mercato sempre

più complesso e globale. Nasce quest’anno una nuova divisione azienda-le, Alterego Home Collection: oltre al mobile, allo specchio e al lampa-dario, Arte Veneziana fornirà ai suoi clienti una nuova vasta gamma di servizi. Sono previste la soluzione di tutte le fasi di realizzazione di Ho-tel, Alberghi, Resort, Residences, Negozi. Progettazione, produzione, trasporto, montaggio, illuminazione, scelta dei materiali e dei tessuti. La risposta alle esigenze di una clientela multi target, per esigenze di stile e prestigio. Questa nuova divisione rappresenta, comunque, un naturale sviluppo della fi losofi a aziendale di Arte Veneziana.Da tre generazioni la famiglia Zanin produce specchi, arredi, mobili in legno che vengono poi rivestiti in vetro lavorato ad arte: tagliato, molato e inciso a mano. La storia inizia dalla realizzazione delle classiche spec-chiere del Cinquecento veneziano, ma da lì alla decisione di aggiungere una consolle, un mobiletto, un tavolino da caffé il passo è breve. La svolta avviene con la terza generazione, una quindicina d’anni fa, con l’ingresso in azienda dei fi gli Alessandro e Nicola Zanin. A poco a poco il loro pro-dotto, così particolare, si fa strada. C’è però bisogno di diversifi care.Nelle collezioni Arte Veneziana, tutti gli interni dei mobili e i particola-ri lignei esterni non rivestiti in specchio, possono essere personalizzati con diversi tipi di essenze legnose: da legni pregiati a legni più econo-mici, rispondendo a tutti i budget a disposizione dei clienti. Disponendo di un’equipe di vetrai, di falegnami e tecnici che grazie alla loro lunga esperienza permette di affrontare ogni tipo di produzione e lavorazione garantendo l’artigianalità e la qualità del prodotto. É chiaro che su que-ste basi la svolta nel “contract” rappresenta un passo necessario.“I nostri clienti sono gli architetti, i progettisti d’interni”, ci spiega Ales-sandro Zanin. “Dopo aver visto i nostri mobili decidono che quella cre-denza, quel tavolo, quell’armadio potrebbero stare particolarmente bene in una certa ambientazione e ce lo ordinano. Oppure ci mandano un loro disegno e noi lo sviluppiamo restando il più possibile fedeli al disegno, consigliando e suggerendo piccole modifi che per far si che a lavoro ul-timato il prodotto funzioni perfettamente sia dal punto di vista tecnico che estetico. Oltre il 90 per cento della nostra produzione è su misura. Abbiamo un catalogo di 400 pagine ma spesso è solo una fonte di ispi-razione e noi lavoriamo da veri artigiani/artisti, ogni pezzo è diverso dall’altro ed è questo il bello: l’unicità di ogni pezzo”. Del progetto Alte-rego però parleremo più diffusamente nelle pagine successive.Nuove collezioni saranno presentate al Salone del Mobile: si amplia con ben sei nuovi prodotti la linea Lagune; nascono due nuove collezioni Pa-rentesi e Seculum. Verrà presentata inoltre la nuova linea di mobili per bagno fi rmati Arte Veneziana e Leo de Carlo.Oltre a tutte queste novita l’azienda è impegnata nella progettazione del nuovo showroom, i cui lavori saranno ultimati in primavera.

Arte Veneziana faces 2013 with great vitality and dynamism. Many are the new projects that the company is launching at the Salone del Mobile, there are a lot of challenges arising from an increa-

singly complex and global trade. This year there is a whole new section, Alterego Home Collection: in addition to the furniture, to the mirror and the chandelier, Arte Veneziana will provide its customers a new range of services; the solution of all realization phases of Hotels, Resort, Re-sidences, Shops. Design, manufacture, delivery, installation, lighting, choice of materials and fabrics. This is the answer to the needs of a multi target clientele, for style and prestige reasons. This new division is, however, a natural development of the corporate philosophy of Arte Veneziana.For three generations the Zanin family produces mirrors, furniture, wo-oden furniture, which are then covered in cut, bevel and hand engraved glass. The story begins with the creation of the classic Sixteenth century Venetian mirrors, but from there to the decision to add a console table, a cabinet, a coffee table it is a short step. The turning point came with the third generation, fi fteen years ago, with the entrance in the company of the two sons Alessandro and Nicola Zanin. Gradually their product, so special, makes its way; however, there is the need to diversify.In Arte Veneziana collections, all the interiors and wooden details not covered in mirror of our furniture, can be customized with different types of wood: fi ne woods, such as rosewood presented in this picture, or che-aper woods, answering all budgets available to customers. We have a team of carpenters and technicians who through their long experience the craftsmanship and the quality of our product. It is clear that on this basis the turning point in the “contract” is a necessary step.“Our customers are architects, interior designers,” explains Alessandro Zanin. “After seeing our furniture they decide that sideboard, that table, that wardrobe may looks particularly good in a certain setting and they order it. Or they send us their own drawing and we develop it remaining as faithful as possible to the design advising and suggesting small chan-ges to ensure that the product once fi nished it will work perfectly both in technical and aesthetic therms. Over 90 per cent of what we produce is tailored specifi cally for a client. We have a catalogue of 400 pages but it is often only an inspiration source and we work as true craftsmen/artists, each piece is different from each other and this is the thing: every piece is unique! We will tell more about the Alterego project in the following pages.New collections will be presented at the Salone del Mobile: there are six new items of Lagune line; two new collections, Parentesi and Seculum. A new bathroom furniture line designed by Arte Veneziana and Leo de Carlo. In addition to all these novelties, the company is renewing the de-sign of its showroom that will be completed this spring.

Un lavoro estremamente affascinante… e molto particolare. In famiglia siamo convinti che se non fossimo un po’ pazzi e un po’ artisti non avremmo mai fatto un lavoro del genere! E comunque non c’è solo arte, estro o capacità artigianale: bisogna saper progettare, prevedere ogni ostacolo tecnico si possa presentare nel costruire l’articolo e prevedere altresì come sarà una volta incollati i vetri. E poi sono mobili che vengono utilizzati quotidianamente, non certo ornamentali, per cui devono funzionare perfettamente. Usiamo la migliore ferramenta, spesso sovradimensionata, perché i singoli elementi di un determinato mobile possono anche raggiungere pesi rilevanti una volta comple-tamente rivestiti in vetro da ben 6 millimetri di spessore. C’è anche molta tecnologia. Grazie allo studio tecnico interno, ogni progetto, ogni esploso di ogni mobile, ogni lista di lavorazione viene accuratamente archiviata, insieme a un servizio fotografi co ad hoc del prodotto. Se fra dieci o vent’anni dovesse esserci un problema recuperiamo il progetto dal nostro archivio e ricostruiamo esattamente il pezzo danneggiato”.An extremely fascinating work... and very special. In our family we are convinced that if we were not a little crazy and artists we never had a job like that! Anyway, there is not only art, creativity or craftsmanship: we must be able to plan, provide any technical obstacles it may arise during the construction and also provide how it will be once the glass are assembled. And they are pieces of furniture used daily, not ornamental, they have to work perfectly. We use the best hardware, often oversized, because the individual elements of a piece of furniture can also achieve signifi cant weights. There is also a lot of technology. Thanks to our technical study, every project, every exploded view drawing, every process list is carefully stored, together with some photos of the product. If within ten or twenty years there should be a problem we recover the project from our archive and rebuild the damaged piece exactly”.

Cosa vi ha spinto a creare una nuova divisione aziendale in gra-do di offrire e gestire soluzioni contract?Si tratta di una risposta dovuta alle continue richieste da parte di una clientela sempre più esigente e colta. Negli ultimi anni i nostri committenti hanno sempre più richiesto che la qualità e l’unicità della nostra produzione non si limitasse ai soli pezzi d’arredo, ma che defi nisse per gusto e atmosfera interi ambienti delle loro dimore più esclusive. Per questo abbiamo voluto unire esperienze e competenze diverse che potessero offrire soluzioni complete di altissimo livello.

Un passaggio molto impegnativo che certamente imporrà un ripensamento su scala più ampia della “fi losofi a artigianale” di Arte Veneziana?Determinante è proprio il nostro impegno! Ques’ultimo unito alle nostre competenze progettuali ci fanno credere che sia questo il futuro della nostra storia aziendale. I risultati che stiamo avendo ci convincono sempre di più che quanto possiamo immaginare e poi realizzare siano dei fatti unici nel panorama della decorazio-ne contemporanea. Proprio quello che la clientela cerca quando pensa a valorizzare la propria casa.

Dunque Alterego, come altra parte di Arte Veneziana, che diviene il suo doppio con competenze più ampie...Alterego è più del proprio doppio. E’ l’esaltazione delle com-petenze artigianali dell’azienda in sinergia con l’esperienza e le capacità progettuali di un team di interior designers che hanno come attività principale lo studio e lo sviluppo di spazi unici ed esclusivi.

Quali i mercati dove proporre con maggior forza questa nuova proposta?Non saremo certo noi a porre limiti geografi ci alle nostre poten-zialità e al nostro entusiasmo!

What made you decide to create a new division to offer and ma-nage contract solutions?It is an answer to the continuous requests of customers who are more and more demanding and cultured. In recent years, our cu-stomers have demanded that the quality and uniqueness of our production was not limited to only pieces of furniture, but so-mething that has to defi ne the taste and atmosphere of an entire location of their most exclusive houses. For this reason we wanted to combine experience and skills which could offer solutions of the highest level.

A very demanding passage that certainly wil require an after-thought on a larger scale of the Arte Veneziana “artisan philoso-phy”?Our commitment is crucial! This, combined with our design skil-ls, make us believe that this is the future of our company. The results we achieve, are convincing us that what we can imagine and what we can realize are unique events in the panorama of contemporary decoration. This is just what the customer thinks when he wants to enhance his house.

So, about Alterego, as another part of Arte Veneziana, which beca-me its double with wider skills ...Alterego is more than its double. And it is the exaltation of the craft skills of the company together with the experience and the design ability of an interior designer team who has as main activi-ty the study and the development of unique and exclusive spaces.

Which are the trades where more strongly propose this new proposal?Well, we will not put geographical limits at our potential and our enthusiasm at all!

Giovanni Luca Ferreri disegna per Arte Veneziana la nuova linea Parentesi. Struttura in legno con interni fi niti in rovere oliato. Totale assenza di maniglie, le quali vengono sostituite da aper-tura push pull a pressione su tutte le ante. La particolarità della linea Parentesi è nella curvatura dei vetri che ricoprono il tavolo e la madia. Questi ultimi possiedono due raggi di curvatura, da 30 cm e da 60 cm. Il vetro viene sagomato con un taglio lineare, viene inserito nel forno e il vetro si adagia nello stampo dopo aver subito un salto termico da 0 a 600 gradi. Il lampadario invece è realizzato in ottone cromato, con delle fasce di ottone calandrato a mano su cui sono stati appli-cati dei cilindri di vetro lavorati a mano.

Giovanni Luca Ferreri designs for Arte Veneziana the new line Parentesi. Wooden structure fi nished in oiled oak inside. A total absence of handles, which are replaced by push-pull opening on the doors. The peculiarity of the line Parentesi is the curved glass covering the table and the sideboard. These articles have two radius of curvature, 30 cm and 60 cm. The glass is shaped with a linear cut, is inserted into the oven and the glass reclines in the mold after having undergone a thermal gradient from 0 to 600 degrees. The chandelier is in chromed brass, with brass bands hand calendered on which they were applied handmade glass cylinders.

Già conosciuta dagli artigiani dell’antico Egitto. Un’arte che si è evoluta nel tempo e che è stata riportata in auge da Jean - Baptiste Glomy alla fi ne del XVIII secolo: è

l’églomisé, una speciale tecnica di decorazione su vetro che pre-vede il disegno inciso su foglia oro.Ed è proprio questa tecnica ad essere riproposta, alle soglie del XXI secolo, da Arte Veneziana. Una tecnica rivisitata ed applicata sui nostri pezzi d’arredamento rivestiti in specchio artistico.L’artista, con colori policromi e pennello, disegna su vetro il sog-getto richiesto, e in un secondo momento ricopre il disegno con un fondo color oro che da’ risalto alle linee precedentemente disegnate. Arte Veneziana utilizza la sua creatività per rispondere al gusto personale del cliente e per far funzionare al meglio l’am-biente o la struttura che le si richiede per l’arredo “contract”. Il servizio che cura Arte Veneziana nasce dalla progettazione alla realizzazione; e oltre agli articoli standard che propone, offre an-che arredamenti “su misura” ideali per ogni proposta.

the églomisé, a special technique of glass decoration which includes the drawing engraved on gold leaf.And it is precisely this technique to be arise, on the twenty-fi rst century, by Arte Veneziana. A technique revisited and applied to pieces of mir-rored furniture. The artist, with polychrome colours and brush, paints on glass the subject required, and later covers the drawing with a gold-colored background that emphasize the lines previously drawn.Arte Veneziana uses his creativity to answer to the personal taste of the client and to manage the room or structure that is intended to furnish with “contract” solution. Dopo anni di collaborazione nel settore contract, l’architetto Matteo Fossa proietta lo stile Veneziano nella contemporaneità disegnando per Arte Veneziana un nuovo modello di tavolo dalle linee e dal-la forma estremamente essenziali. Una struttura in legno massel-lo completamente rivestita in specchio extrachiaro con particolari in acciaio lucido. Arricchita da incisioni laterali che si sviluppano lungo le gambe del tavolo, attraversandone il top.

After several years working in the contract fi eld, the architect Matteo Fossa projects the Venetian style in the contemporary drawing for Arte Veneziana a new model of table with lines and shape extremely es-sential. A wooden structure completely covered in mirrored extraclear glass with polished steel details; enriched by lateral engravings that run along the legs of the table, going through the top.
