The Ital ian National Public Agency for Microcredit is organizing the second edit ion of the Forum entit led “Microfinance and EU policy: resources and opportunities for the microenterprise and social inclusion” , in coopera-tion with the Representation of the European Commission in Italy.

The program of the Forum comprises of a technical workshop , which wil l take pace in the afternoon on the 31st of January from 1.30 pm to 6.30 pm, and a conference, which is structured in thematic panels and wil l take place on the 1st of February from 9.00 am to 6.30 pm.

During the technical workshop, under the guidance of facil i tators and experts of the Agency and with the application of participatory methods and techniques, partici-pants wil l be stimulated into infor-mal discussion and exchange of experiences to bring out concrete proposals and shared ideas. These proposals wil l then be presented and delivered in the f inal plenary session to the heads of the de-partments of relevant ministries, directorates general of the European Commission and other noteworthy Itaian institutions.

This event represents an important moment for reflection, discussion and debate among relevant players, each competent in their own field of micro-finance and microcredit. Members of regional and local authorit ies, banks and financial intermediaries, microfinance institutions, and the non-profit sector wil l be attending. The Seminar wil l hence be a moment of shared learning based on the equal contributions of al l participants, and it wil l be a chance for an in-depth analysis of sector specif ic themes and policy.

The meeting wil l also be an important opportunity for networking between national and European operators.

The Forum has the following objectives :

This event envisages a limited number of participants and is addressed exclusively to those who receive this invitation by e-mail. To outl ine the European programs of microcredit and microfinance, working with the support of the sector’s experts and practit ioners.

To open a debate on the best practices implemented on EU territo-ry.

To identify the crit ical points in the f ield of microcredit and micro-finance, and sort out the possible solutions.

To stimulate debate on the proposal of the Structural Funds Regula-tions 2014-2020.
