Soggiorno balneare, e non solo, in Sardegna (Stintino, Alghero, spiaggia della Pelosa, spiaggia delle Saline) dal 31 Agosto all11 Settembre 2008

We arrive by boat at Porto Torres from Genoa at September 1 and we direct to Stintino by our old car (Fiat Panda) toward the hotel lAncora (4 km after Stintino), that we had booked, by internet (also the boat).The hotel, encircled from trees and gardens, is a complex of small buildings, tall two floors, well camouflaged in the green, in the garden there are elegant tables and chairs, at the side a park for children and the arena where in the evening are the animation, there is also swimming pool with sea water. The hotel is situated between Stintino and Capo Falcone to about 15-20 minutes on feet from the famous beach of La Pelosa one of the most beautiful beach of Italy., Our room is complete of air conditioned, television, ample balcony with sight of the sea, equipped with tables and chairs, the towels are changed every day, the hair dryer and the key for safe against payment of a security, free internet (only for mail) at the reception.The meals are served in a large restaurant, we can choose to eat in the garden or in the dining room, the menu changes to every meal. In the afternoon, we go to La Pelosa, one the most famous and beautiful beach of Italy, the sea is cyan colour, the sand is extraordinarily white andthin, the sea has fantastic transparency and reflexes, and it is always flat because protected by a natural barrier made by Capo Falcone, and by Piana and Asinara islands, it seems almost a swimming pool, and important it is free beach. The panorama is magnificent.

The most important thing to doVisit the small town of Stintino , it has an interesting museum (Museum La Tonnara), the nucleus of the old city, introduces typical low houses, the most tourist part is in front of the sea (Cristopher Columbus road) , there are bars with music, restaurants.. and so on, well come often.

Beach of the Le Saline The Beach of Le Saline is far about 2-3 kilometres from Stintino (6-7 Km from the hotel).Bus stop about 200 mt. from the beach, to reach it we cross the zones where in the past they existed some salt pans, we cross the ancient basins where salt was dried,The beach is beautiful, made of very small crushed smoothed white stones (as grains of rice) the colour of the sea is green and transparent.

Capo Falcone.It is a promontory at 1,5 km on feet from our hotel (the name derives from the old tower on the hill ), over the Pelosa beach, at the top we walk on path of granitic stone and Mediterranean scrub, the landscape is very suggestive, the sea is of an intense blue colour, the east side is characterized from sandy beaches as La Pelosa, while on the west side, the coast becomes steep with overhanging rocks of about 150 meters on a dark blue and deep, we enjoy a magnificent panorama.

Asinara islandthe island, located in front of Stintino, is one of the most spectacular island that we have seen, it is a protected park, access is strictly restricted (no car), excursions are permitted only with accredited guides.From Portu Mannu (Stintino) we take a boat (40 euro each for boat and bus), getting off at Fornelli At Fornelli we visit the ancient maximum security prison and the Centre for the Recovery of the Turtle (free visit). From there we take the bus and we begin a journey across an uncontaminated nature enjoying for stunning scenery, we see rare and various Mediterranean scrub, we meet the albino donkeys, the guide furnishes clear and ample explanations, we admire stunning panorama, in the oriental part there are beautiful bays with incomparable beaches while the western part is rocky and steep.At Cala Sabina, a dream beach, characterized by white fine sand in an unbelievable landscape, where we bathe. I have the feeling that this heaven is ending, in fact, actually there is the possibility to stay in a guesthouse, currently with 20 bed, but the amplification is foreseen to 70 places, I would not like that it was the beginning of the end of this place
