La situazione e` buona ma la “cost-funding matrix” deve essere ritoccata per tener conto dei cambiamenti dovuti alla riottimizzazione di LHCb e dei fondi attualmente disponibili.

The LHCb collaboration ask the RRB to support the principle ofshifting the funding allocations among different subsystems in agreement with the parties concerned. Two guidelines for the revision:1) Move first CERN and Common Funds to balance2) Move national funding among the already committed subsystems

- Azzerato l’underfunding di ST, RICH, MU - Diminuito l’uderfunding del DAQ (underfunding = ~20% delle CPU) Le CPU saranno comprate piu` tardi possibile (>2005)

Proposal 5571: Development of muon chambers for LHCb CERN, INFN (LNF, Fi, RM2), MARSIGLIA, PNPI + ITEP (Russia)si guadagna denaro CORE per ~ 60 kCHF per la costruzione di camere al PNPI (il contributo INFN stimato e` di 230 kCHF) assegn. 2004 : 30 kE (consumo LNF) S.J. alla approvazione

- Aerogel Coordinatore: C. Matteuzzi Proposal 5579: Applications of Aerogel in particle physicsINFN (Mi), CNRS/IN2P3, BINP + BIC (Russia) si studiera` la possibilita` di avere i 5 cm di spessore dell’ Aerogel

in un solo strato. assegn. 2004 : 20 kE (consumo Mi) S.J. alla approvazione
