Borgo più vicino al mare, mantiene i caratteri di una piccola località di villeggiatura genovese dei primi del novecento, prediletta anche per la sua vicinanza anche alla sede ferroviaria. è quello "a schiera" Gli interventi conservativi hanno mantenuto le linee di facciata e preservato il fascino antico. Un paese fuori dal mondo, genuino, dove ci che diverso e sconosciuto sembra non essere l’aspirazione di nes- suno. Cinque borghi arrocati a una collina, dolce e selvaggia, che guarda il mare da una parte, dove vi si trovano i borghi di Costa, Setta, Ravecca e Anzo , e che si estende verso l'entroterra, dall'altra, con l'ultima frazione di Castagnola, in una morfologia collinare più dolce. Penultimo comune sul mare a ovest della sua provincia (La Spezia), Framura presenta un configurazione orografica aspra che ha consen- tito la conservazione di un paesaggio dai forti contrasti morfologici e cromatici. I basalti a cuscino che formano la rossa scogliera di Van- darecca si alternano alle serpentiniti, ai diaspri verdi mentre i flysch arenacei e scistosi profon- damente erosi dall’azione del mare caratterizza- no il paesaggio da punta Manara di Sestri Levante fino a punta Apicchi. Disseminate per il territorio di Framura si trovano le antiche e ricercate cave di marmo Rosso di Levanto, e non solo, ora quasi tutte estinte. Insomma Framura è uno zaffiro incastonato nel mar ligure e selvaggia contrasta con gli altri paesi rivieraschi, maggior- mente urbanizzati e più comodi. COSTA Il castellaro posto sul monte Vigo fa risali- re l’origine di Framura alle popolazioni li- guri antiche. Porta di Framura sul mare, è il primo borgo scendendo da nord e quello che raccoglie le più antiche testi- monianze. Qui si trovano infatti una delle pievi liguri più antiche, allora l'ultima pie- ve a oriente dell'arcidiocesi di Genova, confinante con quella di Luni: la chiesa di San Martino di Tours, in stile romanico è composta da tre navate ed ha dieci altari. Fu monastero eretto dai Benedettini prima dell'anno mille, con innanzi il torrione di epoca carolingia che fu costruito a difesa del paese contro le incursioni dei saraceni e dalla cui porta ad occidente si entrava in Chiesa. La tradizione popolare cita curiosamente che mentre i frati lavoravano alla costruzione, nel paese si ripetesse con allegria: i Frà murano, da cui Fra- mura, anche se la tesminonianza di Mons. Giustiniani preferisce accostare Framura a "Ferra mula", per l'asprezza delle sue strade. Dei frati Benedettini non si ha più traccia già nel 1128 e in tempo ignoto, la Chiesa fu mozzata e pertanto separata dal torrione. A testimonianza dell'antica unione dei due corpi sono ancora visibili gli archi, appena accennati, che partono dalla Chiesa e la cicatrice provocata dalle falde del tetto della Chiesa sulla torre. Quest'ultima, da un lato porta lo stemma di Genova e sul suo colmo una piccolissima torre per castello delle campane che nel 1769 erano due sole ed ora sono tre. All'Interno della Chiesa di S. Martino si conserva uno dei capolavori di Bernando Strozzi "Madonna del Rosario con i Santi Domenico e Carlo Borromeo" ed un pulpito di marmo in stile barocco con gli emblemi dei quattro Evangelisti e nel mezzo S. Martino in bassorilievo. La tradizione dice che fosse stato scolpito per la basilica di S. Siro in Genova. Sotto il piazzale antistante la torre, vi è l'oratorio intitolato alla S.S. Annunziata e a S. Giovanni Battista, a un solo altare, dove Mons. Bossio v'interdisse le gozzoviglie del Giovedì Santo. Partendo dal piazzale ci si infila nel carruggio che conduce nel borgo: due file di case e cantine disomogenee tra loro nella forma, ma accomunate dalle tinte di facciata che variano dal rosso, rosa al giallo e con gli infissi verdi. Sul fondo del primo tratto del carruggio troviamo l'Antico Hospitale, ricovero per i viandanti, secondo quanto risulta dalla lapide ancora visibile sulla facciata sarebbe opera di Giuliano de Dugo e risalirebbe al 27 dicembre 1400. L'Arcivescovo di Genova Paolo Campofregoso aveva concesso l'indulgenza a chi l'avesse visitato e avesse concesso aiuti per il suo riattamento. Proseguendo di lì si entra nell'area del Monte Serro e i suoi sentieri o si raggiungono le frazioni sottostanti. Sede comunale, con la grande torre genovese del XV secolo, è la frazione a perpendicolo della stazione ferroviaria. Vi si trova una Cappella pubblica intitolata a S. Rocco. La facciata decorata a tempera con elementi architettonici di gusto neoclassico è stata recentemente ristrutturata. All'interno "Madonna col Bambino fra San Rocco e San Nicola (sec. XVII - XVIII) Piccolo borgo stretto fra Setta ed Anzo, dove il tipo edilizio medioevale è ancora presente in purezza. Qui si trova una cappella privata intitolata ai SS Bernardo e Pasquale. Porticciolo by Angelo Bordone COMUNE DI FRAMURA È il borgo più alto sul livello del mare: vi si trova l’ottocentesca parrocchiale intitolata a San Lorenzo.All'interno una Deposizione di Luca Cambiaso datata 1575. Gli appassionati potranno spingersi fino al monte Sant’Agata, circa 5 km più a monte, dove tra la fitta vegetazione, si distinguono i ruderi della chiesa di Sant’Agata del X secolo. Contigue si scorgono le tracce del mastio del castello di Lagneto. localit Fornaci Zona balneare sul versante del Monte Serro che scende a mare, al confine con Deiva Marina. Vi si trovano alcuni alberghi e stabilimenti balneari in una zona ricca di macchia mediterranea che conduce ad un primo percorso di accesso ad uno dei siti di grande interesse paesaggistico-naturalistico. SETTAIt is the town hall, with the big Genovese Tower of the XV century, it is thevillage which is inclined to the railway station. We find a public chapel namedto S. Rocco. The front is distemper decorate with architectural elements ofneoclassical style it has been recently restructured. Inside “Madonna colBambino between San Rocco and San Nicola(sec.XVII- XVIII)
RAVECCAA little narrow burgoo between Setta and Anzo, where the Middle age structureit is still there with its pureness. Here we can find the private chapel namedat SS Bernardo and Pasquale.
ANZOIt is the closest borough to the sea, preservesthe characteristics of a small holiday Genoveselocation of the beginning of the 1900,preferred also for its closeness to the trainstation.The main buildings are typically” line up”.Their fronts are preserved with thecharacteristic of the ancient style. Where oncethere was the ancient parish, now we findthe chapel of Our Lord of Snow, which goesback at the XVI century decorated in a new-gothic style. Theicon represents theHoly Virgin and S.S.G i o b a t t a a n d
Sebastiano. At the beginning of the borough we findthe Genovese watch tower of the XV century wasbuilt by the doge to protect the coast, link to theancient legends, forward ahead we go inside theborough until we reach the small “Cà di Mare”, inthe ancient time was a borough of fishermen.
CASTAGNOLAIt is the highest borough at sea level: we find thenineteenth-century church entitle at San Lorenzo.Inside the picture of Luca Cambiaso of 1575.The more appassionato could push ahead till Mount.Sant’Agata about 5 km further to the mountain, wherein a wild vegetation you can distinguish the ruins of thechurch of Sant’Agata (x century). Next to them you candistinguish the traces of the piece of Lagneto’s castle.
localit Fornaci - On the other side of Mount. Serrowe can find a seaside resort that goes down to the sea, at the borderline withDeiva Marina. We find hotels and lido in a rich Mediterranean spot whichleads you to one of the grandest site of naturalistic interest.
COSTAThe Castellaro placed on Mount.Vigo goes back to theorigins of Framura which is link to the ancient Liguriapopulations. An open door to the sea Framura, is thefirst borough that goes downwards from north whichembraces the most ancient evidences.Here you can find in fact, one of the most ancientLiguria parishes, at that time the last parish to the eastof the archdioceses of Genoa, bordered with that ofLuni: the parish of San Martino of Tours, it is in romanticstyle compote of three aisles and ten altars.It was a monastery erected by the Benedictines beforethe year 1000, with the epical Carolingian donjon which was built to defendthe town from the incursion of the Saracen and from which door from eastyou could enter inside the church. The popular tradition ironically says thatwhile the friars worked at the construction, in the village all repeated withjoy: the Frà murano, from which the name of Fra-mura, even though thetestimony of Mon. Justinian who prefers to link Framura at “Ferra Mula”, forthe harshness of the roads.
Of the Benedictines friars we have no more trace since 1128 and unknown time,the church was cut off and separated from the donjon. To the testimony of the
ancient union of the two bodies which are still visiblethe arches, barely shown, from the church which hasa fracture caused by the pitch of the roof of the churchon the tower. This one, from one side brings the coatof arms of Genoa and at the top a smaller tower forthe castle of the bells that in the 1769 were only twoand now are three. Inside the church of S.Martino wefind one of the masterpiece of Bernardo Strozzi“Madonna del Rosario(the holy mother of the rosary)with the saints Domenico and Carlo Borromeo” anda marble pulpit in the baroque style with the emblemsof the four evangelists and in the middle S. Martinoin bas-relief. The tradition says that it was sculptured
for the basil of S. Siro in Genoa.Under the square in front of the tower, there is the oratory named at the S.S.Annunziata and S. Giovanni Battista, at only an altar, where Mons. Bossioclosed all the stuff of the Maundy Thursday.From the square we go inside the carrageen which brings you to the borough:two rows of houses and canteens not similar for the shape, but similar for thecolours of the walls which go from red, pink and yellow with green shutters.At the end of the first carrageen we find the Antico Hospitale (the anticHospital), shelter for the wayfarers, it is what we can see from the plaque stillvisible on the front it could be a work of Giuliano de Dugo goes back to thetwenty-seventh December of 1400. The bishop of Genoa Paolo Campofregosohad granted the indulgence to whom had granted assistance for his readapt.Carrying on from there, we enter to the area of Mount. Serro and its paths orwe can reach the other villages.
Framura is a suggestive hidden corner of theLiguria, beautiful, strange and unique.A village out of the world, genuine, whereeverything which is different and unknownseems to be the inspiration of nobody.
Five villages clutch at the hill, sweat and wild,which look at the sea from one side, where wecan find the boroughs of Costa, Setta, Ravecca eAnzo that stretches towards the inland, on theother side, we find the last village of Castagnola,which is morphological smoother.Last but one town hall by the sea of the west ofhis province of (La Spezia), Framura presents andaerographical harsh configuration which hasconsented the preservation of the village from thestrong morphologic and chromatic contrasts. Thebasalt of cushion which forms the red cliff ofVandarecca alternate at the serpentines, and greenjaspers while the schistose sandy flysch deeplyerosive by the action of the sea characterized thelandscape from Manara’s peak of Sestri Levanteto the Apicchi’s peak. Disseminated through theterritory of Framura we can find the ancient redmarble caves of Levanto, and it is not all, nowalmost all of them are discharged.In a word Framura is a sapphire set to the LiguriaSea and its wildness clashes with the other villagesof the Riviera, more urbanized and suitable.

Framura un angolo nascosto di Liguria,bellissimo, strano e irripetibile.Un paese fuori dal mondo, genuino,dove ci che diverso e sconosciutosembra non essere l’aspirazione di nes-suno.
Cinque borghi arrocati a una collina, dolce eselvaggia, che guarda il mare da una parte,dove vi si trovano i borghi di Costa, Setta,Ravecca e Anzo, e che si estende versol'entroterra, dall'altra, con l'ultima frazione diCastagnola, in una morfologia collinare piùdolce.Penultimo comune sul mare a ovest della suaprovincia (La Spezia), Framura presenta unconfigurazione orografica aspra che ha consen-tito la conservazione di un paesaggio dai forticontrasti morfologici e cromatici. I basalti acuscino che formano la rossa scogliera di Van-darecca si alternano alle serpentiniti, ai diaspriverdi mentre i flysch arenacei e scistosi profon-damente erosi dall’azione del mare caratterizza-no il paesaggio da punta Manara di Sestri Levantefino a punta Apicchi. Disseminate per il territoriodi Framura si trovano le antiche e ricercate cavedi marmo Rosso di Levanto, e non solo, oraquasi tutte estinte. Insomma Framura è unozaffiro incastonato nel mar ligure e selvaggiacontrasta con gli altri paesi rivieraschi, maggior-mente urbanizzati e più comodi.
COSTAIl castellaro posto sul monte Vigo fa risali-re l’origine di Framura alle popolazioni li-guri antiche. Porta di Framura sul mare, èil primo borgo scendendo da nord equello che raccoglie le più antiche testi-monianze. Qui si trovano infatti una dellepievi liguri più antiche, allora l'ultima pie-ve a oriente dell'arcidiocesi di Genova,confinante con quella di Luni: la chiesa diSan Martino di Tours, in stile romanico ècomposta da tre navate ed ha dieci altari.
Fu monastero eretto dai Benedettini prima dell'anno mille, con innanzi iltorrione di epoca carolingia che fu costruito a difesa del paese contro leincursioni dei saraceni e dalla cui porta ad occidente si entrava in Chiesa.La tradizione popolare cita curiosamente che mentre i frati lavoravano allacostruzione, nel paese si ripetesse con allegria: i Frà murano, da cui Fra-mura, anche se la tesminonianza di Mons. Giustiniani preferisce accostareFramura a "Ferra mula", per l'asprezza delle sue strade.
Dei frati Benedettini non si ha più traccia già nel 1128 e in tempo ignoto, laChiesa fu mozzata e pertanto separata dal torrione. A testimonianza dell'anticaunione dei due corpi sono ancora visibili gli archi, appena accennati, chepartono dalla Chiesa e la cicatrice provocata dalle falde del tetto della Chiesasulla torre. Quest'ultima, da un lato porta lo stemma di Genova e sul suocolmo una piccolissima torre per castello delle campane che nel 1769 eranodue sole ed ora sono tre.
All'Interno della Chiesa di S. Martino siconserva uno dei capolavori di BernandoStrozzi "Madonna del Rosario con i SantiDomenico e Carlo Borromeo" ed unpulpito di marmo in stile barocco congli emblemi dei quattro Evangelisti e nelmezzo S. Martino in bassorilievo. Latradizione dice che fosse stato scolpitoper la basilica di S. Siro in Genova.
Sotto il piazzale antistante la torre, vi è l'oratorio intitolato alla S.S. Annunziatae a S. Giovanni Battista, a un solo altare, dove Mons. Bossio v'interdisse legozzoviglie del Giovedì Santo.
Partendo dal piazzale ci si infila nel carruggio che conduce nel borgo: duefile di case e cantine disomogenee tra loro nella forma, ma accomunatedalle tinte di facciata che variano dal rosso, rosa al giallo e con gli infissiverdi. Sul fondo del primo tratto del carruggio troviamo l'Antico Hospitale,ricovero per i viandanti, secondo quanto risulta dalla lapide ancora visibilesulla facciata sarebbe opera di Giuliano de Dugo e risalirebbe al 27 dicembre1400. L'Arcivescovo di Genova Paolo Campofregoso aveva concessol'indulgenza a chi l'avesse visitato e avesse concesso aiuti per il suo riattamento.
Proseguendo di lì si entra nell'area del Monte Serro e i suoi sentieri o siraggiungono le frazioni sottostanti.
Sede comunale, con la grande torre genovesedel XV secolo, è la frazione a perpendicolodella stazione ferroviaria. Vi si trova una Cappellapubblica intitolata a S. Rocco. La facciatadecorata a tempera con elementi architettonicidi gusto neoclassico è stata recentementeristrutturata. All'interno "Madonna col Bambinofra San Rocco e San Nicola (sec. XVII - XVIII)
Piccolo borgo stretto fra Setta ed Anzo, doveil tipo edilizio medioevale è ancora presentein purezza. Qui si trova una cappella privataintitolata ai SS Bernardo e Pasquale.

È il borgo più alto sul livello del mare: visi trova l’ottocentesca parrocchiale intitolataa San Lorenzo.All'interno una Deposizionedi Luca Cambiaso datata 1575. Gliappassionati potranno spingersi fino al monteSant’Agata, circa 5 km più a monte, dove trala fitta vegetazione, si distinguono i ruderi
della chiesa di Sant’Agata del X secolo. Contigue si scorgono le tracce delmastio del castello di Lagneto.
localit FornaciZona balneare sul versante del Monte Serro che scende a mare, al confinecon Deiva Marina. Vi si trovano alcuni alberghi e stabilimenti balneari in unazona ricca di macchia mediterranea che conduce ad un primo percorso diaccesso ad uno dei siti di grande interesse paesaggistico-naturalistico.
