Ecco, il mio servo avr successo,sar onorato, esaltato e innalzato grandemente.Come molti si stupirono di lui tanto era sfigurato per essere duomo il suo aspettoe diversa la sua forma da quella dei figli delluomo ,cos si meraviglieranno di lui molte nazioni;i re davanti a lui si chiuderanno la bocca,poich vedranno un fatto mai a essi raccontatoe comprenderanno ci che mai avevano udito.Chi avrebbe creduto al nostro annuncio?A chi sarebbe stato manifestato il braccio del Signore?

cresciuto come un virgulto davanti a luie come una radice in terra arida.Non ha apparenza n bellezzaper attirare i nostri sguardi,non splendore per poterci piacere.Disprezzato e reietto dagli uomini,uomo dei dolori che ben conosce il patire,come uno davanti al quale ci si copre la faccia;era disprezzato e non ne avevamo alcuna stima.

Eppure egli si caricato delle nostre sofferenze,si addossato i nostri dolori;e noi lo giudicavamo castigato,percosso da Dio e umiliato.Egli stato trafitto per le nostre colpe,schiacciato per le nostre iniquit.Il castigo che ci d salvezza si abbattuto su di lui;per le sue piaghe noi siamo stati guariti.

Noi tutti eravamo sperduti come un gregge,ognuno di noi seguiva la sua strada;il Signore fece ricadere su di lui

liniquit di noi tutti.Maltrattato, si lasci umiliaree non apr la sua bocca;era come agnello condotto al macello,come pecora muta di fronte ai suoi tosatori,e non apr la sua bocca.

Con oppressione e ingiusta sentenza fu tolto di mezzo;chi si affligge per la sua posterit?S, fu eliminato dalla terra dei viventi,per la colpa del mio popolo fu percosso a morte.Gli si diede sepoltura con gli empi,con il ricco fu il suo tumulo,sebbene non avesse commesso violenzan vi fosse inganno nella sua bocca.

Ma al Signore piaciuto prostrarlo con dolori.Quando offrir se stesso in sacrificio di riparazione,vedr una discendenza, vivr a lungo,si compir per mezzo suo la volont del Signore.

Dopo il suo intimo tormento vedr la lucee si sazier della sua conoscenza;il giusto mio servo giustificher molti,egli si addosser le loro iniquit.

Hermanos:

Mantengamos la confesin de la fe, ya que tenemos un sumo sacer-dote grande, que ha atravesado el cielo, Jess, Hijo de Dios.

No tenemos un sumo sacerdote incapaz de compadecerse de nues-tras debilidades, sino que ha sido probado en todo exactamentecomo nosotros, menos en el pecado. Por eso, acerqumonos conseguridad al trono de la gracia, para alcanzar misericordia y en-contrar gracia que nos auxilie oportunamente.

Cristo, en los das de su vida mortal, a gritos y con lgrimas, pre-sent oraciones y splicas al que poda salvarlo de la muerte, cuan-do en su angustia fue escuchado. l, a pesar de ser Hijo, aprendi,sufriendo, a obedecer. this place together with a detachment oguards sent by the chie priests and thePharisees, all with lanterns and torchesand weapons. Knowing everything thatwas going to happen to him, Jesus thencame orward and said, Who are youlooking or? Tey answered, Jesus theNazarene. He said, I am he. Te high priest questioned Jesus abouthis disciples and his teaching. Jesus an-swered, I have spoken openly or all theworld to hear; I have always taught in thesynagogue and in the emple where allthe Jews meet together: I have said noth-ing in secret. But why ask me? Ask my

hearers what I taught: they know what Isaid. At these words, one o the guardsstanding by gave Jesus a slap in the ace,saying, Is that the way to answer thehigh priest? Jesus replied, I there issomething wrong in what I said, point itout; but i there is no offence in it, whydo you strike me? Ten Annas sent him,still bound, to Caiaphas the high priest.

Allora i soldati, con il comandante e leguardie dei Giudei, catturarono Ges, lolegarono e lo condussero prima da Anna:egli inatti era suocero di Caia, che erasommo sacerdote quellanno. Caia eraquello che aveva consigliato ai Giudei: conveniente che un solo uomo muoiaper il popolo.

Intanto Simon Pietro seguiva Gesinsieme a un altro discepolo. Questodiscepolo era conosciuto dal sommo sa-cerdote ed entr con Ges nel cortile del

sommo sacerdote. Pietro invece si ermuori, vicino alla porta. Allora quellal-tro discepolo, noto al sommo sacerdote,torn uori, parl alla portinaia e eceentrare Pietro. E la giovane portinaiadisse a Pietro: Non sei anche tu unodei discepoli di questuomo?. Egli ri-spose: Non lo sono. Intanto i servi e leguardie avevano acceso un uoco, perchaceva reddo, e si scaldavano; anche Pie-tro stava con loro e si scaldava.

Il sommo sacerdote, dunque, interrogGes riguardo ai suoi discepoli e al suoinsegnamento. Ges gli rispose: Io hoparlato al mondo apertamente; ho sem-pre insegnato nella sinagoga e nel tem-pio, dove tutti i Giudei si riuniscono, enon ho mai detto nulla di nascosto. Per-ch interroghi me? Interroga quelli che

hanno udito ci che ho detto loro; ecco,essi sanno che cosa ho detto. Appenadetto questo, una delle guardie presen-ti diede uno schiaffo a Ges, dicendo:Cos rispondi al sommo sacerdote?.Gli rispose Ges: Se ho parlato male,dimostrami dov il male. Ma se ho par-lato bene, perch mi percuoti?. AlloraAnna lo mand, con le mani legate, aCaia, il sommo sacerdote.

Regnum meum non est de mundo hoc.

Adducunt ergo Iesum a Caipha in prtorium. Erat autem mane.

Et ipsi non introierunt in prtorium, ut non contaminarentur,sed manducarent Pascha. Exivit ergo Pilatus ad eos foras et dicit:Quam accusationem affertis adversus hominem hunc?.

Responderunt et dixerunt ei: Si non esset hic malefactor, non tibitradidissemus eum.

Ma uno dei servi delsommo sacerdote, parente di quello a cuiPietro aveva tagliato lorecchio, disse:Non ti ho orse visto con lui nel giardi-no?. Pietro neg di nuovo, e subito ungallo cant.

people and the chie priests who havehanded you over to me: what have youdone? Condussero poi Ges dalla casa di Cai-a nel pretorio. Era lalba ed essi nonvollero entrare nel pretorio, per noncontaminarsi e poter mangiare la Pa-squa. Pilato dunque usc verso di loro edomand: Che accusa portate controquestuomo?. Gli risposero: Se costuinon osse un malattore, non te lavrem-mo consegnato. Allora Pilato disse loro:Prendetelo voi e giudicatelo secondo lavostra Legge!. Gli risposero i Giudei:A noi non consentito mettere a mor-te nessuno. Cos si compivano le paroleche Ges aveva detto, indicando di qualemorte doveva morire.
