BRACEBrace è un neonato collettivo di fu-mettisti e illustratori. Noi cinque ci siamo conosciuti come altri nelle aule dell’accademia di Bologna.L’idea di unirci in un gruppo è sorta spontanea dalla necessità di dare una forma tangibile ai nostri lavori e di mostrarci come parte di un mondo che avevamo solo guardato dall’e-sterno, quello del fumetto indipen-dente.

restiLe storie di questa primissima usci-ta sono nate dall’idea che il nostro modo di guardare il mondo ci ac-comunasse, e che questa visione sarebbe emersa spontaneamente nei racconti, che difatti non sono stati guidati o vincolati da un tema. Resti è il nome che abbiamo scelto per unire le nostre narrazioni, che in quest’ espressione trovano il loro leitmotiv.

Its old owner is revered by numerous servents, even though she wouldn’t speak of some of them.

Nobody knows where the water comes from. /Nobody knows where the Old Man Cayote comes from. / But he existed. He lived. / One day the Old Man felt lonely so he found two ducks. /One of the ducks was bored so it dived into the deep water where he found soil and roots.

The Old Man Cayote planted the roots in the mud and things started growing. / -Isn’t it pretty?

But the ducks were still bored and they asked the Old Man to create somebody. / That’s why the Old Man created men. / But all of them were bored. / Until he found a solution.
