ciao!My name is Alessandro, and this is my visual development portfolio.The first section of my portfolio covers one of my per-sonal projects, a concept of an Italian ghost town. The illustrations are a fantastical retelling of the village’s history. Originally a peaceful town, during the econo-mic boom of the sixties it was drastically industrialised in an effort to make it stand out, and was completely abandoned as a result.It’s inspired by the architecture of the real-life ghost town of Consonno.

My research is based on the folk tales of the area, while the colour palette is inspired by the typical colours of the valley.I exhibited these illustrations at “Friend of Consonno”, during St. Patrick’s Day of 2014.

Most of my characters are inspired by natural elements such as mountains, swamps, and veg-gies. I was always fascinated by medieval folklore and I REALLY love 90’ pop culture.

I was lucky to participate in this fun project in 2015, where I’ve handled the visual development of an already established set-ting together with other artists.I studied an imaginary “glass Venice”, trying to focus on Murano’s glass styles.

Zingonia 3.0For the redevelopment of the area of Zingonia (Italy) I was commissioned for a colouring book with 12 B/W illustrations, frontcover and other graphics.. The book was sold in november 19, 2014 in Zingonia, and still distributed in schools.
