Coldplay

Premessa

Il tema della rivoluzione viene affrontato dal punto di vista artistico musicale piut-tosto che storico. L’obiettivo è quello di estrapolare dal mondo musicale quanti più brani contengano significato, metafore e simbolismi riguardanti il tema scelto.Nello specifico sono state prese in considerazione per la maggior parte canzoni straniere ed anche qualche autore italiano: a fianco di ogni immagine il testo di riferimento del brano, trascritto a mò di prima stesura del testo.Il libro si apre con un’immagine in riferimento alla copertina dell’album Viva la vida dei Coldplay, anno 2008. Viene infatti raffigurato il dipinto di Eugène Dela-croix “La Libertà che guida il popolo” ma il titolo dell’album è stato ispirato dalla frase “Viva La Vida” scritta nel quadro che Frida Kahlo ha dipinto otto giorni prima di morire e che ha proprio questo titolo.
