L’offerta a partire da € 15,00 sarà devoluta al restauro delle semilunette
della Galleria Vittorio Emanuele di Milano, esposte, per la prima volta il 15
Settembre 1867, giorno dell’inaugurazione della galleria.
Le semilunette sono quattro opere che raffigurano le allegorie delle Attività Umane:
L’Agricoltura e L’Arte di Eleuterio Pagliano e Raffaele Casnedi. L’Industria e Le
Scienze di Bartolomeo Giuliano e Angelo Pietrasanta. Le opere, mai restaurate,
sono preziosi reperti, carichi di informazioni per lo studio della tecnica pittorica
e dei materiali artistici di fine Ottocento.

EUROPEAN COMPETITION OF COMPOSITION FOR OCARINA
“MILAN MODERN ART GALLERY”11th edition
1 - The “Amici della Galleria d’Arte Moderna - Villa Reale di Milano Onlus”(“Friends of the Modern Art Gallery”), announce a European Competition for ocarina composition inspired by one of the works of art on display in the Milan Gallery of Modern Art.
2 - The competition is open to European citizens born after January 1st 1989.
3 - The ocarina compositions must be between 3 and 5 minutes long.
4 -Participating composers can have a look at the works of art exhibited at the Museum by viewing the relevant files on the Internet site “www.gam-milano.com”, consult the museum catalogue or visit the Milan Modern Art Gallery which is open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays (from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.) and is located in Milan, via Palestro 16, phone: +39 02 88445945 - fax +39 02 88445951.
5 - Participants must send five copies of the composition and entitle it to its inspiring work of art. The works will not be returned.
6 - Participants shall not write their names
and surnames on the manuscript, but only a seven-digit number, as well as the chosen title. Participants shall enclose to the manuscript and to the copies an envelope on which they have to write the seven-digit number and the chosen title. The envelope (which has to be carefully closed) shall contain the composer’s self-certification of his/her birth date, citizenship, address, e-mail address and a short biography. In addition to this, participants shall enclose a declaration that the composition has neither been published or played before.
7 - Each composition, in five copies, with the closed envelope with the participant’s data have to be sent by registered mail with return receipt by January 21st 2019 to the following address: Concorso Europeo di Composizione “Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Milano” - via Palestro 16 - I - 20121 Milano
8 - Compositions regularly received within the given deadline will be examined by a jury of five members chaired by Marcello Abbado and consisting of renowned composers.
9 - The name of the winner will be notified by February 10th 2019.
10 - The winning composition will be played during a concert taking place in the Ball Room of Milan Modern Art Gallery on March 21st 2018 at 6.00 p.m.
11 - The composition can be played by the composer himself/herself or by a soloist chosen by him/her. The performer will be offered lodging in Milan, and all the documented travel expenses he/she will incur will be reimbursed.

The winner will be granted a prize of 1.500 Euros (one thousand and five hundred Euros) net as well as hotel accommodation for the overnight stay and the reimbursement of all documented travel expenses.
