Da molti anni la nostra Società opera con suc-cesso nei vari settori d’applicazione delle fibreottiche e in particolar modo in quelladell’Illuminotecnica, della Trasmissione Dati,dell’Endoscopia e di Applicazioni Speciali.La FORT FIBRE OTTICHE nasce nel 1978 conl’obiettivo di organizzare e promuovere inItalia la vendita della vasta gamma di prodottiin fibra ottica che venivano realizzati allora inFrancia, ossia cavi per trasmissione dati,endoscopi rigidi e flessibili, sistemi optoelettro-nici e dispositivi speciali, insieme a sistemi perilluminazione.Dal 1983 l’azienda si dota di proprie unitàproduttive, attrezzate per rispondere alle esi-genze dei vari settori d’impiego delle fibre otti-che.Da allora la FORT FIBRE OTTICHE è presentein tutti i settori d’impiego delle fibre ottiche conprodotti certificati secondo le più rigorose nor-mative internazionali, tra cui il marchio RINA,particolarmente importante nel settore navale. Field, Data Transmission, Endoscopyand Special Applications.

FORT FIBRE OTTICHE is born in1978 with the purpose of organizing

and promoting in Italy the widerange of Optic Fibres products reali-

sed in France till that date, such asdata transmission cables, fixed and

flexible endoscopies, optoelectricssystems and special devices, together

with lighting systems.Since 1983 our company is equip-

ped with productive units, in order toface the Optic Fibres application

fields’ exigencies.Since then, FORT FIBRE OTTICHE has

been working in every Optic Fibresapplication field with certificated pro-

ducts in compliance with the strictesteuropean certifications, such as the

RINA ones, particularly important in the naval field.

We’ve been consolidating our pre-sence in the world-wide market forthirty years, thanks to our tendency

to create and test new possible OpticFibres applications, co-operating

with the most important italian publicand private institutions and with com-panies specialized in expositive spa-

ces’ setting up and lighting design.

We are actually improving our rangeof products with LED Systems and

especially realising at each occa-sion new solutions according to our

customers’ exigencies usually suppor-ted by our technical experience.

Il sistema a fibre ottiche è utilizzato per portare luce in posti diffi-cilmente raggiungibili, per illuminare oggetti o spazi usufruendodei vantaggi di un’illuminazione fredda, antideflagrante ed esen-te da radiazioni U.V. ma il più straordinario dei vantaggi è la èpossibilità di trasportare luce per percorsi non rettilinei.Le applicazioni vanno dalla conservazione e valorizzazione delpatrimonio artistico e culturale alla vetrinistica commerciale: gio-ielli, cosmetici e prodotti commestibili facilmente degradabili.Sempre più le fibre ottiche sono utilizzate nelle scenografie teatra-li e televisive per effetti decorativi, nella segnaletica e cartellonisti-ca pubblicitaria e nelle opere di artisti e design.Un sistema d’illuminazione a fibre ottiche in qualsiasi applicazio-ne, garantisce semplicità di manutenzione e un apprezzabilerisparmio energetico. Il cavo di fibra ottica non varia nel tempo lasua capacità trasmissiva della luce e quindi se installato corretta-mente non richiede nessuna manutenzione; questa si limita allasola sostituzione della lampada nell’illuminatore, il quale se posi-zionato in modo idoneo, non richiede altre attenzioni. La fibra sipuò maneggiare in assoluta sicurezza in quanto trasporta sololuce e tutta la parte elettrica risiede all’origine, nell’illuminatore, eper lo stesso motivo può essere immersa in qualsiasi liquido e uti-lizzata per illuminare oggetti di materiali che temono il calorecome cere e ghiaccio.Il risparmio energetico consiste nel poter avere più punti luce conuna sola lampada; infatti, secondo il diametro delle fibre impie-gate si possono ottenere con lo stesso illuminatore fino a 400 puntiluce della medesima intensità luminosa.Il sistema a fibre ottiche si differenzia da un sistema tradizionaleanche perché va sempre minimamente progettato secondo ciò chesi desidera ottenere e le caratteristiche dell’ambiente in cui siopera; questo fa sì che l’illuminazione possa essere originale edesclusiva.

THE OPTICAL FIBRES LIGHTING SYSTEM

Optic Fibres Lighting Systems are usuallyused to bring light in hardly reachable

places, to enlighten objects or spacestaking advantage of using a cold light

which doesn’t transport electricity and UVrays and which gives the opportunity to

make light follow non-linear runs.The range of applications goes from the

artistic and cultural heritage’s exploitationand preservation, to the shop-windows

lighting design: jewels, make-up andfoodstuffs.

Always more and more, Optic Fibres areused in theatres and tv shows in order to

get scenographic effects, in signs andadvertising posters and in artists and desi-

gners’ works.A Optic Fibres lighting system grants in

any application a simple maintenance anda considerable energy saving.

The Optic Fibre cable never changes itslight transmission and so doesn’t need any

maintenance if properly installed.The only type of maintenance regards the

possibility to change the lamp inside theLight Source (once it breakes).

Optic Fibres are safe to handle since theytransport only the light impulse and no

electricity, that’s why they can be immersein any liquid to enlight objects which

could be damaged if exposed to high tem-peratures (such as ice or wax).

Energy saving is due to the possibility tohave several lighting points using a singlelamp: according to the fibres diameter we

can put a different number of tails in asingle bundle, till a maximum of 400, get-

ting the same light intensity.The Optic Fibres lighting system can becustomised following the customer exhi-

gencies and the characteristic of the placewhere it’s going to be installed in.

L’illuminazione a fibre ottiche si ottiene con tre elementi:

1 - SORGENTE DI LUCE: sono gli illuminatori, che FORT FIBREOTTICHE produce con lampade apposite per fibre ottiche, filtroanticalore, ventola per il raffreddamento e relativi circuiti elettrici;

2 - CAVI A FIBRE OTTICHE: normalmente composti in fasci di piùcode con diametri e lunghezze diverse e raggruppate in un boc-chettone comune per l’ingresso nell’illuminatore, ogni coda è fini-ta con una parte rigida in ottone crimpata (rivetto) o tornita (ter-minale) che permette di lucidare otticamente la fibra e di inserirlain un eventuale accessorio;

3 - ACCESSORI: vengono utilizzati per fissare la coda al suppor-to (controsoffitto o tetto delle vetrine) ma se provvisti di lenti ancheper avere differenti angoli d’uscita della luce e quindi maggioreresa luminosa.

THE OPTICAL FIBRESYSTEM COMPOSITION

The Optic Fibres Lighting System iscomposed by the following

components:

1 - The LIGHT SOURCE: FORT FIBRE OTTICHE produces themusing special lamps for optical fibres,

antiheat filters, fan and electrical circuits;

2 - The FIBRES: usually Bundles are composed by seve-

ral tails with the possibility to mix dif-ferent diameters and lengths, assem-bled in a common end which is con-

nected to the light source itself.Each tail has a brass finishing (rivet or

ferule according to the tail diameter)which gives the possibility to polish its

end and insert any accessory;

3 - The ACCESSORIES: they’re used to simply fix the fibres in

a support (for example a false-ceiling)or change the angle beam if equipped

with particular lens in order to get abetter lighting effect.

Il sistema d’illuminazione a fibre ottiche essendo composto da mol-teplici elementi variabili va di volta in volta progettato.All’interno della FORT FIBRE OTTICHE è presente l’ufficio tecnicoche supporta i propri clienti nella progettazione e realizzazione diqualsiasi sistema a fibre ottiche. Le principali indicazioni utili per la progettazione sono le seguenti:1 - la posizione dell’illuminatore è la prima cosa da definire, deter-mina la lunghezza delle fibre (e quindi il costo) e il perfetto funzio-namento del sistema: deve essere accessibile per la sostituzione neltempo della lampada, abbastanza attigua alla posizione delle fibreottiche e sufficientemente areata e asciutta;2 - il numero di cavi a fibra ottica e il loro diametro per ottenere laluce o l’effetto voluto: per un cielo stellato decorativo si utilizzeran-no fibre piccole o medie considerandone 20-30 al mq., per l’illumi-nazione di vetrine o teche museali fibre medio grosse in numerosufficiente ad ottenere i lux necessari (in relazione alle dimensionidella vetrina);3 - eventualmente la scelta degli accessori che possono essere perfissare semplicemente la fibra al supporto (supporti fissi o orienta-bili), o per ottenere effetti luminosi diversi (faretti fissi con lente,orientabili con lente, focalizzatori, concentratori ecc.).Una volta progettato e pensato il sistema è facilmente installabile: ilsupporto (controsoffitto, pannello ecc.) dove andranno messe lefibre sarà forato (con diametro utile per la fibra o l’accessorio), lefibre saranno poste una per foro ed in fine saranno incastrati i sup-porti scelti (se previsti).

DESIGN AND INSTALLATION

Since the Optic Fibres Lighting System iscomposed by several variable elements, ithas to be especially designed every time.

FORT FIBRE OTTICHE has its own technicaldepartment which supports customers in

designing and realising any kind of OpticFibres system.

The main useful indications to correctlydesign a Optic Fibres lighting systems are

the following:1 - first of all it has to be defined the posi-tion of the light source, from which derives

the fibres tails length (and so the price ofthe bundle) and the perfect operation of the

whole system : the position in which theclient is going to install the light source has

to be easily reachable in order to easilysubstitute the lamp inside it (once it brea-

kes), near to the Optic Fibres installingpoint and with a continuos exhange of fresh

and not humid air;2 - to well determine the number of tails

composing the bundle and their diameter, inorder to be able to get the proper lighting

effect : for a decorative starry sky we usual-ly suggest little and medium diameters and

at least 20-30 lighting point per square Mt,while for showcases or museum cases werecommend medium or big diameters in

order to get the proper lux value;3 - the choice of the accessories, if necessa-

ry, which can be used to simply fix thefibres to the support (fixed or adjusting), or

to get various lighting effects (fixed accesso-ries with lens, adjustable ones with lens,

focalizers, concentrators, etc.).Once it has been designed, the system iseasy to install: the support (false ceiling,panel etc.), where the fibres have to be

installed in, has to be provided with holes(same diameter of the fibres or the accesso-ry), the tails will be fixed in each hole andthe eventual chosen supports will be fixed

on them (if foreseen).

La resa luminosa di un sistema di illuminazione a fibre ottichedipende dalla sorgente luminosa, dal diametro e dalla lunghezzadel cavo in fibra ottica. Ma non solo, nella valutazione dei valoriilluminotecnici bisogna tenere conto anche di importanti fattoritecnici e ambientali come:

● la tensione d’alimentazione (220V) è teorica e la luce effettiva-mente emessa è proporzionale alla tensione reale;

● le lampade delle maggiori ditte produttrici non hanno valori d’il-luminamento costante ma variabile anche del 10% (ciò incidesoprattutto quando si sostituisce la lampada);

● la posizione delle fibre all’interno del bocchettone (parte delfascio che convoglia le code di fibra ottica per collegarle all’illu-minatore) fa in modo che tra le code che sono centrali e quelleperimetriche rispetto la superficie del bocchettone ci sia una diffe-renza anche del 15%.Quindi nella progettazione illuminotecnica con le fibre ottichebisogna sempre considerare un 20% in più rispetto ai valori desi-derati; inoltre si può richiedere una particolare lavorazione delbocchettone, detta randomizzazione, dove le fibre ottiche dei varicavi che compongono il fascio sono miscelate in modo che pren-dano tutte la stessa quantità di luce.Il nostro ufficio tecnico è a disposizione per i relativi calcoli illumi-notecnici.

PHOTOMETRIC DATA

The Optic Fibres lighting yield depends onthe type of light source and on the fibre

cable diameter and length.Furthermore, it’s important to take to con-sideration all technical and enviromental

ambient factors such as:

l the voltage feeding (220V) is a theoricvalue and the real lighting output is pro-

portional to the real tension;

l the greatest part of the lamps produceddo not have constant lighting values,

which can fluctuate up to 10% from theoriginal ones (especially when the lamp

has bees just replaced);

l the Optics Fibres position inside the com-mon end (the part of the bundle throughwhich the fibres are drawn together andconnected to the light source) determinesthe tails lighting output: the ones locatedin the middle usually have a 15% higher

lighting output than the perimetrical ones.That’s why it’s necessary to calculate 20%

higher values (than the ones required inthe project) during the Optic Fibres

lighting design, or Randomised (a specialprocessing where the fibres are mixed so

that they can have the same lighting output) the tails composing the bundle.Our technical department provides the

clients with the proper lighting calculation.

Gli illuminatori prodotti dalla FORT FIBRE OTTICHE sono studiatiper i diversi tipi di fibra ottica (vetro o sintetica) e si differenzianoprincipalmente per tipologia di lampada: alogena (cod.GLS) e aioduri metallici (cod.HQI).La scelta dell’illuminatore è importante in quanto la fibra è sempli-cemente un conduttore di luce che trasmette qualsiasi messaggioottico che riceve. Di volta in volta si valuterà a seconda dell’appli-cazione il tipo d’illuminatore da utilizzare: a ioduri metallici pereffetti decorativi con fibre a luminescenza laterale, con lampadadicroica per illuminazione museale (in particolare per la luce bian-ca “calda”), illuminatori speciali per illuminazione ferroviaria ecc.Gli illuminatori sono tutti costituiti da una carcassa metallica ido-nea, trasformatore toroidale o elettronico (per i modelli BAT e ISA iltrasformatore è esterno), lampada che può avere Watt differenti (da35W a 150W per le alogene, 70W - 150W - 250W per le iodurimetallici), filtro dicroico anti U.V., sensore termico, fusibile e venti-latore per far uscire il calore della lampada. A richiesta sono dispo-nibili dimmer elettronico e filtri monocromatici per colorare la luce.Nel posizionare l’illuminatore in un ambiente bisogna assolutamen-te evitare che manchi il ricambio d’aria, in particolare che le grateai lati (o sopra, a seconda dei modelli) della carcassa siano ostrui-te o troppo vicino a una parete: ciò comporterebbe il mancatoricambio tra aria calda e aria fredda all’interno dell’illuminatore eil suo spegnimento fino al raggiungimento della temperatura otti-male. I modelli GLS e HQI possono essere dotati di motorino e discodicroico per far cambiare colore alla luce, con possibili dispositivicome interruttore per il blocco colore o tastiera con scelta del colo-re per effetti tipo cromoterapia, anche con telecomando.Inoltre gli illuminatori con il sistema cambiacolore possono esserepredisposti per il controllo DMX (a richiesta). Quando sono più d’uno dello stesso modello, si possono sincroniz-zare in modo che cambino colore tutti insieme, così che tutte le fibreottiche di uno stesso ambiente siano nello stesso tempo dello stessocolore (sistema a richiesta). LIGHT SOURCES

Light Sources produced by FORT FIBRE OTTICHE arespecially designed according to the different optic

fibres types (Glass or Synthetic) and differ from oneto each other for the lamp installed inside them :halogen (code GLS) or metal halide (code HQI).

It’s important to choose the correct light source foreach project, since the optic fibre is simply a light

conductor which is able to transmit each optical input received.

Each time it has to be considered which kind of lightsource has to be used: metal halide light sources in

order to get decorative effects and with side-emittingfibres; halogen light sources for museums projects(especially to get a “hot” white light); special light

sources for lighting projects for trains.FORT FIBRE OTTICHE Light Sources are all provided

with special metallic casings, toroidal or electronictransformers (for BAT and ISA models the transfor-

mer is external), lamps with different wattage (from35W to 150W for halogen lamps - 150W and

250W for metal halide lamps), dichroic filters anti-U.V. rays, termical sensors, fusible cut-out and fans

to let the lamp heat runs out.According to the customer exhigencies, we can

install electronic dimmer and monocromatic filters toget a coloured light.

It’s important to install the light source in a placewith a continuos exchange of fresh air, and don’t

obstruct the grills positioned on both its casing sides(or on the top according to the light source model) in

order to avoid a lack of hot and fresh air exchange and its extinction.

GLS and HQI models can be equipped with dichroicrotating colour wheels in order to change the light

colour, together with special devices such as stop &go switches or remote controls

to program the colour changing.Furthermore, colour changing light sources can be

programmed with a DMX control.Whenever a project requires more than one colourchanging light source, they can be synchronised inorder to have the same colour at the same time for

all the tails composing the bundles.Please refer to the technical schedules

for any further detail.

GENERALITÀGli illuminatori tipo GLS-G sono generatori di luce specifici perl’impiego con fibre ottiche in vetro, costruiti in osservanza dellenorme vigenti nella Comunità Europea.Le veersioni GLS-G/MWD e GLS-P/MWD sono dotate di un siste-ma cambiacolori sincronizzabile.


MODALITÀ D’INSTALLAZIONE

Per conservare l’illuminatore perfettamente funzionante e perottenere da esso il massimo delle prestazioni occorre attenersiad alcune semplici norme di installazione e di manutenzionepreventiva di seguito elencate:● Alimentare l’illuminatore con 12 Volt CA o CC. Se si deside-ra alimentarlo con tensione di rete 220 Volt 50 Hertz occorreimpiegare il trasformatore BAT - TR 100.● Assicurarsi che l’illuminatore sia posto in un vano sufficiente-mente aerato e che l’aria calda che da esso fuoriesce abbialibero sfogo e non ritorni in circolo.● Installare l’illuminatore lontano da fonti di calore come termo-sifoni o condizionatori.● Ad ogni sostituzione della lampada provvedere alla puliziadel bocchettone comune con un pennello morbido o con un pic-colo aspirapolvere.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

To assure a perfectly functioning light source and obtain an opti-mal performance, it is important to observe the following instal-lation instructions:● Supply the light source with 12 Volt CA or DC. If power sup-ply 220 Volt 50 Hertz is required, use the BAT - TR 100.● Make sure that the light source is placed in a sufficiently ven-tilated area and that the hot air expelled can easily flow out-wards.● Install the light source far from heat sources such as radiatorsor air conditioners.● At every lamp substitution clean the common end with a softbrush or small vacuum cleaner.

ILLUMINATORE SINCRONIZZABILE “SYNCHRO” PER FIBRE OTTICHE

GENERALITA’Synchro è il sistema che permette di sincronizzare il movimento dei motoridegli Illuminatori con cambia colore continuo.Il sistema consente di allineare la rotazione dei colori, in un impianto costi-tuito da una serie di Illuminatori equipaggiati con moto-riduttori della stes-sa velocità.La rotazione dei filtri colorati, e quindi dei colori della luce emessa dallefibre ottiche, avviene in maniera contemporanea.Il sistema si compone di una Centralina Synchro, che impone i tempi dellasincronizzazione, e di una serie di n Illuminatori Synchro 2004 (n max

=100) che cambiano colore in maniera contemporanea riproducendo glistessi colori sotto il comando della Centralina.La distanza massima consigliata del cavo di interconnessione è di 100 mt.I cavi di connessione devono essere dotati di schermo (cavo 3x0.5mmqschermato).Connessione IN-OUT Pin to PinPin 6 = Stop & Go Pin 8 = GND Pin 9 = Comando di sincronizzazionePin 1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 7; NON CONNESSI

CENTRALINA SYNCHROLa Centralina Synchro è costituita da una scheda elettronica a microprocessore che permette di gestire la sincronizzazione di tutti gli illu-minatori della catena.Essa presenta un connettore di OUTPUT per i comandi di sincronizzazione e un connettore di INPUT per la connessione a una Unità diStop & Go che permette di fermare la rotazione colori nella posizione desiderata.La Centralina Synchro ha già impostata la velocità di rotazione per adattare i tempi di sincronizzazione con quelli di rotazione dei moto-riduttori presenti a bordo degli Illuminatori Synchro 2004 dell’impianto.La velocità di rotazione dei moto-riduttori deve essere la stessa per tutti gli Illuminatori della catena e tale velocità deve essere ugua-le alla velocità indicata sulla Cenfralina Synchro.

ILLUMINATORE SYNCHRO Gli Illuminatori della serie “Synchro” sono dotati di una scheda elettronica che permette la sincronizzazione del movimento del disco colori montato a bordo del-l’illuminatore, con quello dei dischi colori degli altri illuminatori della catena.Un sensore rileva la posizione del disco colori permettendo alla Centralina Synchro di sincronizzare la rotazione dei dischi colore sulle stesse posizioni.Ciascun Illuminatore è dotato di n.2 connettori tipo DB9, n.1 Maschio di Input e n.1 Femmina di Output, che permettono di collegare gli Illuminatori in catena.Un interruttore (Switch Mode Selector) posto sul retro dell’Illuminatore permette di selezionare la modalità di funzionamento:● Modalità SYNCHRONIZED - I’illuminatore risponde ai comandi di sincronizzazione della Centralina● Modalità STAND ALONE - I’illuminatore si muove in maniera autonoma senza sottostare ai comandi di sincronizzazione della Centralina.Sono disponibili in varie versioni a seconda del tipo di lampada, Alogena o Ioduri Metallici, del tipo di motoriduttore, da 0.5rpm a 3 rpm, dei colori presentisulla ruota colori.

Synchro Console has a preset speedvalue to match synchronization times and motor speed of the illuminators in the chain. The rotation speed of the motor has to be the same for all the illuminators in the chain and this rotation speed has to be the sameof that indicated on the Synchro Console.

GENERALITA’

L’illuminazione a fibre ottiche offre svariati vantaggi in termini diluce prodotta, sicurezza, modularità del flusso luminoso e manuten-zione. Il modello The HQI-150 DMX/3M rende possibile controlla-re il dinamismo e la sincronizzazione dei filtri colorati posizionatiall’interno di svariati generatori luminosi. Ogni generatore lumino-so è dotato di motori a passo attivati da un microprocessore inter-no. Grazie alla tecnica di controllo a microstepping, gli effetti sonomolto uniformi senza sfarfallio. ● Un filtro dicroico circolare multicromatico (1 ± 7 colori) è fissatoall’albero del motore. La rotazione alla velocità richiesta (velocitàmax 5 rotazioni al secondo) del filtro consente il cambio del colo-re della luce emessa dalle fibre ottiche. ● Un otturatore meccanico consente di ottenere un effetto strobo-scopico di alta qualità.● È possibile ridurre l’intensità della luce utilizzando un reostatomeccanico.Tutti gli effetti luminosi possono essere attivati mediante un mixerluci DMX standard.

EFFETTI LUMINOSI

Giochi di luce È possibile ottenere svariati effetti: dalla semplice sincronizzazionedei generatori luminosi con il colore richiesto alla combinazione didiversi colori per ogni generatore luminoso. I filtri dicroici sonodisponibili in svariati colori standard (max 7, per ogni filtro adisco): rosso, giallo, verde, blu, arancio, viola e bianco, ma posso-no essere forniti su richiesta con altri colori più complessi. La com-binazione dei tre elementi variabili, colori, velocità di rotazione egeneratore luminoso autonomo, consente di ottenere numerosieffetti luminosi.

Effetto stroboscopico Il sistema consente di realizzare un effetto stroboscopico variabileda 1 a 12 flash al secondo.

Effetto dimmer Grazie a un sistema meccanico, è possibile ottenere una riduzionedell’intensità della luce delle lampade a vapori di alogenuri metal-lici con 6 gradi intensità della luce.

Interfaccia musicale Il modello The HQI-150 DMX/3M può essere controllato da unsegnale musicale utilizzando un pannello di comando DMX ade-guato.

MAIN FEATURES

Fiber Optic lighting offers several advantages relative to the lightproduced, safety, modularity of the luminous flux and maintenan-ce. The HQI-150 DMX/3M makes it possible to control dynamismand synchronisation of the coloured filters placed inside variouslight generators. Each light generator is equipped with steppermotors activated by a internal microprocessor. Thanks to themicrostepping control technique effects are very smooth andwithout flickering. ● A circular, dichroic multicolour (1 ± 7 colours) filter is fixed to themotor shaft. By rotating at the speed required (max. speed 5 turnsper sec.) this filter permits the colour changing of the light emittedby the Fiber Optics ● A mechanical shutter permits to obtain a high quality strobosco-pic effect.● It is possible to dimmer the light using a mechanical dimmer.All the light effects can be activated by means a standard DMXLight Mixer.

LIGHT EFFECTS

Play of light Various effects can be obtained: from the simple synchronisationof the light generators with the colour required to the combinationof different colours for each light generator. The dichroic filtersare available in various standard colours (max. 7, for each diskfilter) red, yellow, green, blue, orange, violet and white but theycan be supplied on request, with other, more sophisticatedcolours. By combining the three variable elements: colours, rota-tion speed and autonomous light generator, the light effects obtai-nable are numerous.

Strobo Effect This system makes it possible to realise a stroboscopic effect whichis which can vary from 1 to 12 flashes per sec.

Dimmer Effect Thanks to a mechanical system it is possible to obtain a dimmingof the Metal Halide lamps with 6 degree of the light intensity.

Musical Interface The HQI-150 DMX/3M can be controlled by music signal using asuitable DMX control desk.

Week/Daily Control Using our DMX control desk it is possible to play sequences ofluminous effects according to a weekly/daily schedule. In this wayit is possible to avoid any operator action for a long time.

Ogni cavo di fibra ottica che sia in vetro o plastica, è fattodi materiale molto trasparente (silicio, vetro o PMMA), lasua struttura interna è composta da una parte centrale dettaCORE e una che fa da rivestimento molto sottile dettaCLADDING, queste due parti hanno un indice di rifrazionediverso perciò la luce che entra da un’estremità della fibraarriva dall’altra senza fuoriuscire sulla lunghezza del cavo.Praticamente la luce rimbalza all’interno del core poiché ilcladding avendo indice di rifrazione differente ne impedi-sce la dispersione laterale. La singola fibra in vetro ha un diametro di 50 micron, e peravere cavi di fibra di differenti diametri si utilizzano uncerto numero di singole fibre secondo il diametro che sivuole ottenere: questo fa sì che i cavi di fibra ottica in vetrosiano estremamente flessibili benché il materiale d’originenon lo sia. La quantità di fibre che com-pongono un cavo determina la superficieottica (detta SIZE) che è proporzionalealla quantità di luce portata. - Each Optic Fibres cable (Glass orSynthetic) is made of transparent

materials (silicon, glass or PMMA);- The inside structure of a OpticFibres cable is composed of two

parts : the inner CORE and a verythin covering called CLADDING;

- CORE and CLADDING have a dif-ferent refractive index, that’s why the

light can run through the cable(without leaving it) bouncing

between them. The single Glass Optic Fibre has a

50 micron diameter and biggercables are made by assembling a

different number of this thin fibre tillwe get the final diameter required:that’s why glass optic fibres cables

are extremely flexible.The number of fibres which compo-

sed a cable defines the optic area(called SIZE) which is proportional to

the lighting output.Conventionally the SIZE is the unit

measure of glass optic fibres cables.The synthetic optic fibre used to

made synthetic cables has a 0,75mmdiameter and is more elastic

than the glass one.Synthetic Optic Fibres Cables areclassified according to their optic

diameter, usually indicated after theiralphabetic code (for example

CSF-3,3 = optic diameter 3,3mm).On the other hand, Synthetic

Monofibres are composed by a sin-gle fibre: they can have different

diameters indicated after their alphabetic code (for example

CSM-3 = optic diameter 3mm).

This type of cables are realised usingglass Optic Fibres covered by a

rubber jacket.We use the best quality fibres withunlimited durability, extraordinary

characteristics of intrinsic attenuation– less than 150dB/Km - and linear

transmission in the whole visible spectrum.

Jackets are realised using auto burnout materials, which don’t spread fla-mes, omologated RINA and in com-

pliance with the national and intena-tional security regulations

in force.Optic Fibres cables can be finishedwith lux ferules (plane polishing) or

with rivets (glue or lux finishing).The unit of measure of the different

diameters cables is called “SIZE”.The single cable diameter changes

according to the number of fibers (Ø50 micron) used to realized it.

Optic Fibres bundles can be realizedwith different cables with different

SIZE till a maximum of 400 total SIZE.

Since bundles are pruduced accor-ding to the project exhigencies, wecan have different tails lengths in a

single one bundle (we usually suggestnot to have tails

longer than 10Mt).Optic Fibres application is strongly

suggest in museums and in all thoseapplications which require a long

durability, because of the particularimportance of the objects exposed orthe installation particular conditions.

GENERALITA’I rivetti di ottone crimpati rappresentano lo strumento più economico perterminare le fibre ottiche di vetro e sintetiche. Le singole fibre costituenti ilcavo vengono fermate nel rivetto tramite la crimpatura, e successivamentelavorate per ottenere il tipo di finitura richiesto. I terminali in ottone tornitosono utilizzati per i cavi di maggior diametro. Le singole fibre vengono resinate e lucidate sino ad ottenere un grado difinitura denominato “ottico”.

GENERAL NOTESCrimped brass rivets are the most economic solution to terminate the fibresoptic. The fibres in the cable are fastened in the rivet by crimping and thenprocessed to obtain the type of finishing requested. The machined brass fer-rules are used for cables of bigger diameter. The fibres are resinated andpolished in order to obtain a finishing grade called “optical polishing”.

Essi sono costruiti in modo da assicurare il massimo trasferimento dellaluce dalla lampada alle fibre ottiche garantendone nel contempo un fissag-gio meccanico molto stabile. La lucidatura ottica della superficie di ingres-so della luce garantisce inoltre una perdita di rendimento molto bassa.

Sono cavi a fibra ottica che vengono utilizzati principal-mente per effetti decorativi, per segnalare percorsi osegna gradini. Possono essere di due tipi: cavi compostida fibre ottiche sintetiche “stressate”, ossia volutamenteritorte per far si che il cladding rovinato faccia uscire lucesulla lunghezza e guaina in pvc trasparente (dette CTL),oppure monofibre trattate in modo da illuminarsi unifor-memente sulla lunghezza (tipo “Lumenyte”). Entrambepossono essere di tipo per interno ed esterno con prote-zione al sole e cloro per piscina.Sono disponibili in diversi diametri.Per ottenere il massimo da questo tipo di fibre l’istallazio-ne dovrà attenersi ad alcune semplici norme (come daschema sottostante): lunghezza massima di 12-15 m. se siutilizza un unico illuminatore solo ad una estremità delcavo; lunghezza fino a 30m. se è possibile illuminareentrambe l’estremità del cavo; i primi 50cm. dopo l’illumi-natore dovrebbero essere rettilinei.Con le fibre CTL e Lumenyte è sempre meglio utilizzareilluminatori a ioduri metallici per fibre sintetiche.

SIDE LIGHT OPTIC FIBRES??????

Side-light cables are mainly used tocreate decorative effects, to define

paths or point out steps.There are two different types

of side-light fibres: - cables composed by synthetic “stres-sed” optic fibres (CTL), so called bea-cause of their particular processing inwhich the cladding is broken to let the

light comes out all along the PVCtransparent jacket;

- Monofibres (“LUMENYTE”) whichgrant a homogeneous light all along

their length.Both of them can be supplied for inneror outer applications with UV rays and

chlorine protection and are available indifferent diameters.

Some simple rules have to be respectedusing these kind of side-light optic

fibres in order to get the best light result:

- maximum length of the tails=12-15Mt, if only one light source is installed

at one end of the tails;- maximum length of the tails=30 Mt, if

it’s possible to install two light sourcesat both the fibres ends;

- the first part (50cm) of the fibreswhich comes out from the light sources

should be keep rectilinear.We suggest to install Metal Halide Light

Sources for Synthetic Fibres togetherwith side-light fibres.

GENERALITA’Sono cavi formati da una guaina in pvc trasparente all’internodella quale ci sono delle fibre ottiche sintetiche diametro 0,75opportunamente stressate e attorcigliate in modo da rilasciareluce sulla lunghezza della fibra. Vengono utilizzate principalmen-te per la segnalazione di percorsi, bordo piscina, o effetti decora-tivi su pareti e soffitti. I cavi CTL non hanno una resa luminosa,sono “cordoni” luminosi.Malgrado siano di diametro abbastanza grosso mantengono unabuona flessibilità e facilità d’installazione.Si utilizzano principalmente con illuminatori a ioduri metallici, peruna lunghezza massima di 12m. con sorgente luminosa solo aduna estremità, mentre con illuminazione ad entrambe le estremitàdel cavo fino a 30m. circa.

Said “CTL”cables do not have a luminous yield, they are actually luminous“strands”.Although they do have rather a large diameter, they neverthelessmaintain good flexibility and easy installation properties.They are principally combined with metal halide light sources andwork for up to maximum 12 m lengths with the light source set atone end only. Le Side Glow sono un altro tipo di fibre a luminescenzalaterale, ma a differenza delle precedenti queste hannodei punti luminosi sulla lunghezza del cavo dovuti alla rot-tura disomogenea del cladding. Sono utilizzate per formare tende, “colonne” o sospensio-ni luminose e comunque effetti decorativi che sfruttano lalunghezza della fibra. Possono essere di fibra in vetro e di fibra sintetica. Le prime sono disponibili con diametro SIZE 1 e non devo-no superare la lunghezza di 5-6m.; le seconde possonoessere composte con 3 o 5 fibre sintetiche da 0,75mm ehanno una buona resa luminosa fino a 12-13m.Per una resa ottimale è meglio utilizzare illuminatori aioduri metallici.

This kind of fibres derives from a parti-cular processing in which the claddingis broken in a not homogeneous way

so that they have lighting points allalong their length.

Their main applications are “lightingcurtains”, “lighting columns” or lightingsuspended installations and any deco-rative effect which takes advantage of

the fibres length.They can be:

- GLASS : available with diameter SIZE1;maximum length suggested=5-6Mt;

- SYNTHETIC : composed by 3 or 5synthetic fibres with 0,75mm; maxi-

mum length suggested=12-13Mt.We suggest to install Metal Halide Light

Sources for Synthetic Fibres togetherwith side-glow fibres.

Per completare il sistema d’illuminazione a fibre ottichenormalmente si utilizzano degli accessori che hanno la pri-maria funzione di fissare i cavi al supporto destinato, mase orientabili o con lente servono anche per dare effetti diluce particolari.Per un cielo stellato decorativo si useranno dei semplicisupporti fissi (in plastica, o in metallo oro o cromo) senzalente oppure dei supporti decorativi in plexiglass traspa-rente o ancora i preziosi cristalli Svarowsky.Nell’illuminazione di teche museali o vetrine di esposizio-ne commerciale si può scegliere tra una vasta gamma difaretti con lente orientabili o fissi, con gradi di aperturadella luce diversi, finiture cromo, oro o anodizzate; oppu-re concentratori, focalizzatori e sagomatori per ottenere laresa luminosa e lo spot appropriati alla situazione.Inoltre, visto che spesso la fibra ottica viene utilizzata perilluminare fontane e piscine, nella gamma di accessoridella FORT FIBRE OTTICHE sono presenti faretti stagni chepossono essere utilizzati anche come segnapasso in ester-no, con ghiera in acciaio ASI 316 e lente satinata o tra-sparente.
