modulART sistema componibileModulArt, è espressione di

quell’incrocio tra diversi campi culturali che offre una nuova prospettiva

creativa, sfumando i confi ni tra territori contigui, tra materie e colori, natura e tecnica. In questo momento di grande

contaminazione culturale, aperto a ogni genere di sperimentazione:

tra arte-design-moda, sapienza artigianale e sofi sticatezza

ipertecnologica, naturale e artifi ciale, grande serie e personalizzazione del

prodotto, tradizione e innovazione. Se ne misurano i reciproci contenuti,

talvolta anche i limiti, per poi ricomporli in una rinnovata grammatica

progettuale, su nuovi presupposti di fondo. E questo cambia tutto. Emerge

con grande forza la seduzione della materia. C’è un ritorno delle materie naturali ancestrali, come legno,ferro,

vetro, perfi no pietra. La cosa importante è che ne deriva un’estetica

frutto della combinazione di questi materiali, mai usati univocamente, sempre mixati. Evocazioni che si

proiettano sulle superfi ci, sul piacere tattile, sul dettaglio quasi sartoriale, su

linee chiare, che vincono quasi sempre sulla ricerca della forma innovativa

a ogni costo. Con modulArt si riapre un nuovo capitolo del design legato al gusto, con un glamour raffi nato e

sartoriale.

ModulArt est l’expression d’un mélange entre divers domaines culturels, qui

offre une nouvelle perspective créative, en estompant les confi ns entre

territoires contigus, entre matières et couleurs, entre nature et technique.

Nous sommes dans une période de grande contamination

culturelle, ouverte à chaque type d’expérimentation: entre art-design-

mode, entre savoir artisanal et hypertechnologie sophistiquée, entre naturel et artifi ciel, entre grande série et personnalisation du produit, entre

tradition et innovation. On en mesure les contenus réciproques, parfois

même les limites, pour ensuite les recomposer selon une grammaire conceptuelle renouvelée, selon de

nouvelles conditions de fond. Et cela change tout. La séduction de la matière

se distingue avec une grande force. On assiste à un retour des matières

naturelles ancestrales comme le bois, le fer, le verre et même la pierre. Il en

découle une chose importante : une esthétique fruit de la combinaison

de ces matériaux, jamais utilisés de manière univoque, toujours mélangés.

Des évocations qui se projettent sur les surfaces, sur le plaisir tactile, sur le

détail digne de l’œuvre d’un couturier et sur les lignes claires et qui, presque toujours, gagnent sur la recherche de

la forme innovante à tout prix. ModulArt ouvre un nouveau chapitre du design

lié au goût, avec un niveau de glamour raffi né et digne d’un couturier.

ModulArt is the expression of the crossroads of various cultural fi elds

that offer a new creative perspective and make the borderlines between

adjacent territories, materials, colours, nature and technicalities fade. At this

time of great cultural contamination, open to every type of experimentation: between art-design-fashion, handicraft

wisdom and hyper-technological sophistication, nature and artifi ce,

mass production and product customisation, tradition and innovation, one can measure the contents of each,

sometimes also the limits, to then recompose them using a renewed

design grammar, on a new foundation. And this makes all the difference. The seduction of matter strongly emerges. There is a return to natural, ancestral

materials such as wood, iron, glass and even stone. The important thing

is that the result is an aesthetic combination of all these materials that

are never used by themselves but always mixed. Conjured images that are projected on the surfaces, on the tactile pleasure, on the almost tailor-made details, on the clear lines that

almost always win against the pursuit of an innovative form at any cost.

ModulArt opens a new design chapter linked to good taste blended with

refi ned, haute-couture glamour.

ModulArt ist der Ausdruck der Kreuzung verschiedener Kunstbereiche, die eine

neue kreative Perspektive bietet und die Grenzlinien zwischen den eng

miteinander verbundenen Bereichen, zwischen Werkstoffen und Farben,

Natur und Technik verschwimmen lässt.Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ungeheuerlicher

kultureller Kontamination, die für jede Art von Experimenten offen

steht: zwischen Kunst/Design/Mode, handwerklichem Wissen und ausgereifter Hightech, Natürlichem

und Künstlichem, großen Serien und individuellen Produktgestaltungen,

Tradition und Innovation. Man misst die jeweiligen Inhalte und

zeitweilig auch die Begrenztheiten der verschiedenen Bereiche, um

sie dann in einer völlig neuen projektbezogenen Grammatik nach

ganz neuen Grundvoraussetzungen zusammenzubauen. Und das ändert alles. Die Verführung der Werkstoffe

hebt sich mit großartiger Kraft hervor. Natürliche Urmaterialien, wie Holz, Eisen, Glas und sogar

Stein kehren wieder. Das Wichtige daran ist, dass daraus eine

Ästhetik entsteht, die die Frucht der Kombination dieser nie alleine,

sondern immer vermengt verwendeten Materialien ist. Bezauberungen,

die sich auf den Oberfl ächen, am angenehmen Tastgefühl, am sorgfältig

ausgearbeiteten Detail und an den klaren Linien widerspiegeln, die beinahe immer über die Suche

nach innovativer Form zu jedem Preis gewinnen. Mit ModulArt beginnt ein neues Kapitel des

Possono la matematica, gli algoritmi, i fl ussi numerici esadecimali per mezzo del computer, che ne è il loro cervello esecutore con i suoi programmi di grafi ca digitale, spostare le barriere del design?ModulArt sembra proprio voglia dimostrarlo attraverso la matematicae il calcolo complesso, spostando il concetto stesso di forma sul concetto di superfi cie, attraverso le Cover. Pannelli magnetici decorativi che mutano nella forma e nel contenuto dando all’ osservatore sempre nuove ed inaspettate emozioni.

Can maths, algorithms, hexadecimal fl ows of numbers by means of a computer that is their brain with its digital graphics programmes, move the boundaries of design? It looks exactly as if modulArt wants to prove that this is so using maths and complex calculations and by transferring the concept itself of shape to the concept of surface through Covers. Decorative magnetic panels that change their shape and contents, giving the observer continuously new and unexpected emotions.

Les mathématiques, les algorithmes et les trains numériques hexadécimaux

moyennant l’ordinateur qui en est leur cerveau et ses logiciels de graphique

numérique, peuvent-ils déplacer les barrières du design ?

modulArt semble vouloir le démontrer à travers les mathématiques et le calcul complexe, en déplaçant le concept de

forme vers le concept de surface, grâce à l’utilisation de panneaux magnétiques

décoratifs appelés « Covers ». Ces panneaux magnétiques décoratifs

changent dans la forme et dans le contenu en offrant à l’observateur

des émotions toujours nouvelles et inattendues.

Magnetic panels CoversG101, G103, S008 and S009 show

the overlapping of ideograms, cryptic signs or condensed fonts on neutral backgrounds. Like in a binary code,

the sequence determines the light-dark alternation.

In questa serie sono state utilizzate e interpretate forme di scrittura diretta o calligrafi ca di diverse ere e culture: le Cover S001 e S002 uno stralcio rielaborato della scrittura di pugno di Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra autore del Don Chisciotte della Mancia, e allo stesso modo nelle Cover S004 e S003 viene interpretata una scrittura amanuense riconducibile al periodo medioevale. In modo più sofi sticato nella Cover S007 viene rappresentata una home page Internet come la vede un programmatore di codici HTML, ovvero, come una pioggia di testo apparentemente incomprensibile come gli ideogrammi giapponesi delle Cover S005 e S006.

In this series, direct or calligraphic forms of writing from various ages and cultures have been used and interpreted: the S001 and S002 magnetic panels Covers show a re-elaborated extract of the handwriting of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the author of Don Chisciotte della Mancia. Likewise on Covers S004 and S003 a amanuensis document that can be traced back to the Medieval times is interpreted. In a more sophisticated way, the S007 Cover shows a Internet homepage as seen by a programmer of HTML codes, i.e. as a shower of incomprehensible texts like the Japanese ideograms of Covers S005 and S006.


In dieser Serie wurden Formen des Direkt-Schreibens oder Schriftformen unterschiedlicher Zeitalter und Kulturen verwendet und interpretiert: Die Cover S001 und S002 sind eine überarbeitete Abschreibung der Handschrift von Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, dem Autor des Romans Don Quijote von der Mancha, und auf gleiche Weise wird auf den Cover S004 und S003 eine auf das Mittelalter zurückführbare Handschrift interpretiert. Auf ausgereiftere Weise wird auf dem Cover S007 eine Internet-Homepage aus der Ansicht eines HTML-Programmieres dargestellt, d. h., wie ein auf ersten Blick unverständlicher Buchstabenregen, wie auch die japanischen Ideogramme der Cover S005 und S006.

Dans cette série, on a utilisé et interprété des formes d’écriture directe ou calligraphique de différentes époques et cultures: les panneaux S001 et S002 sont un extrait réélaboré écrit de la main de Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, auteur de Don Quichotte de la Manche et, de la même façon, les panneaux S004 et S003 interprètent l’écriture d’un scribe du Moyen-Âge. De manière plus sophistiquée, le panneau S007 représente une page d’accueil du site Internet comme la voit un programmateur de codes HTML, c’est-à-dire une pluie de mots apparemment incompréhensibles comme les idéogrammes japonais des panneaux S005 et S006.

The F401 magnetic facing shows a charming photographic detail of an antique typewriter, while the photo on the F402 magnetic facing shows the unexpected image of a document that has now been reduced to shreds and is just waiting to be understood.

Das Cover F401 stellt ein beeindruckendes fotografi sches Detail einer historischen Schreibmaschine dar, während das Foto des Cover F402 die unerwartete Repräsentation eines zu Papierschnitzel zerkleinerten Dokuments ist, das nur darauf wartet, entschlüsselt zu werden.

Le panneau F401 représente un suggestif détail photographique d’une machine à écrire historique, alors que la photo du panneau F402 propose la représentation inattendue d’un document transformé en papier trituré qui n’attend que d’être déchiffré.

Tutte le Cover di questa serie sono ispirate alle scansioni del codice a barre. Un oggetto catturato dalla macchina fotografi ca viene rielaborato da un algoritmo del computer per assumere questa nuova forma, pari alla frequenza d’onda che il cervello dell’osservatore percepisce prima che lo stesso la ritrasformi di nuovo in immagine.

This entire series of magnetic panels have been inspired by barcode scans. An object captured by a camera is re-elaborated by a computer algorithm to take on this new form that corresponds to the wave frequency that the brain of the viewer perceives before the object is transformed into an image.

Alle Cover dieser Serie inspirieren sich an der Einscannung des Barcodes. Ein mit einem Fotoapparat festgehaltenes Objekt wird durch einen Computer-Algorhythmus überarbeitet, um diese neue Form anzunehmen. Wie die Frequenz einer Welle, die der Beobachter wahrnimmt, bevor sie sich wieder in ein Bild verwandelt.

Tous les panneaux de cette série s’inspirent de la numérisation du code-barres. Un objet capturé par l’appareil photo est élaboré par un algorithme de l’ordinateur pour assumer cette nouvelle forme, semblable à la fréquence de l’onde que le cerveau de l’observateur perçoit avant que celui-ci ne la retransforme de nouveau en image.

L’esempio P201 evoca un’opera della Pop-Art italiana dove la resa dell’immagine è ricondottain vettori, mentre nella Cover P202 sono visibili i tratti creati dalla congiunzione di punti in un graffi to urbano.La cover G102 fonde una sovrapposizione di ideogrammi con un’opera olandese del movimento artistico De Stijl.

Art can also be shown on themagnetic panels. The P201example evokes a work of ItalianPop Art in which the image isshown in vectors whereas the P202 facing shows the lines created by joining the dots of an urban graffi ti. On the other hand, the G102 magnetic panels blends the superimposition of ideograms with a Dutch work of the De Stijl art movement.

Auch Kunst kann auf einerCover dargestellt werden, wiedies anhand des Beispiels derCover P201 zu sehen ist. Hierwird ein Werk der italienischenPop Art überarbeitet, in dem dasBild auf Vektoren reduziert wird.Ein weiteres Beispiel sind dieVerbindungsstriche der Punkteeines Graffi tis des Cover P202.Während das Cover G102 eineÜberlappung von Ideogrammenmit einem holländischen Werk der künstlerischen GruppeDe Stijl schmelzt.
