Elsy

Sparkle is key for Elsy this season with lots of gold trim featuring throughout.•

Tights are worn under knee-high socks and boots, while shoulder details, knit stripes, polo dresses,fleece shift dresses and military wool coats are also key.

•

Fleece check is a main fabrication. Colour-wise, a black and grey story dominates, while red and coralprinted dresses and puff hem skirts look strong. Ecru, beige, chocolate and chalky browns, khaki andgrey blue make up the rest of the palette.

•

Little hedgehog argyle patterns feature on dresses, worn layered with leggings.•

Ermanno Scervino Junior

This autumn/winter the Ermano Screvino collection is more closely linked to the womenswear line thanever before.

•

Plum, soft pink, dove grey and other neutral tones are mixed with classic shades of navy, brown andblack.

•

Woollen garments dominate the range with boiled wool military jackets and pretty knitted dresses and

tops in light pashmina and wool gauze.

•

Most notable is the unusual mix of materials used in both outerwear and footwear. Tech-led downackets use woollen inserts and soft leather boots have chunky ribbed tops.

•

Essentiel Girls

Essentiel Girls

Essentiel Girls has produced girlswear for seven years, but introduced boyswear for the first time atPitti Bimbo.

•

A very sophisticated range of kidswear translated and inspired by the women's and men's collections,using similar fabrics and shapes.

•

Main story behind the collection is the opposition of fabrics by mixing and layering very fragilematerials with heavier weights and combining different fabrics within each piece. For boys there arestrong military undertones, heavy jersey style tops and jackets and fairisle knits and smart corduroyblazers.

•

Fabrics include expensive printed silks, cashmere, real fur such as rabbit and washed leathers.•

Gianni Barbato

A very complete and rich collection of footwear, combining unusual combinations of fabrics such aswashed-look leathers and boiled wool panels with autumnal-inspired shades of tartan.

•

Utility-style detachable outer boot is layered with buckles or fringing to reveal a new boot. Also, insidethe more Texas-style boot the leather is bonded with a textured wool lining.

•

Key shapes are biker and Texas, reinterpreted with new mixes of fabrics.•

Soles are also handmade so irregular but unique to workwear styling.•

New this season is a suede ankle cowboy boot with tonal floral embroidery.•

Product is are also heavily embellished with studs and some quilted leather and layered toe topsthroughout.

•

Key colours are soft chocolate browns, mulberry suede, tan, sepia and chalky black.•

Key markets are Germany, Russia and Italy.•

Guess Kids

Guess Kids

GuessNew superskinny fit for boys as well as girls at Guess this season. Basic, skinny and regular dominatethe rest of the offering.

•

A new development in denim is the fleece jean.•

For girls, colourful styles work alongside vintage-look faux fur and animal prints, with lots of skirts andgraphic tees, sweats with studs and gold down jackets.

Key colours are cream, black and gold.•

A new collection is the older teen range - very glamorous with lots of tonal sequins embellishmentsand less of a rock chic look.

Boyswear takes more inspiration from casualwear college and street themes.•

Hartford

The boyswear collection had a cosy winter feel with a multi-layered look. Chunky Fair Isle knits in huesof blue look strong.

•

English country life provides inspiration for long-length check shirts and fur trims on accessories forgirls.

•

Varsity-inspired jackets and rolled up baggy jeans tie in with the show's macro college trend.•

Colourfully printed silk drawstring dresses and tops add a splash of colour amongst the darker winterpalette.

I Pinco Pallino

I Pinco Pallino

This season we focus on I Pinco Pallino's Gold and Silver mainline collections.•

The Gold collection focuses on its 30th anniversary with archive pieces reworked. Its first logo hasbeen incorporated into a T-shirt design and, as usual, dresses are a highlight with precious materialssuch as silk brocade and a sublime attention to detail: mink neckline edging and layered appliqué.

•

For boys, classic cashmere overcoats in oatmeal and sheepskin accessories are layered for winter

warmth.

•

The less exclusive but still top-end Silver collection is made up of several themes and is one of thelargest sections of the I Pinco Pallino brand.

•

Key trends include: Roses, an I Pinco Pallino trademark; Grey, several shades, textures and materialsused in one outfit; Hippy denim, with a focus on appliqué and embroidery.

WGSN loves the Victorian theme using a minimal ivory and black colour palette and mixing lace,brocade, astrakhan and damask for girls. For boys, velvet, shirtings and formal jackets have the samemonochrome palette.

Ice Iceberg

Ice Iceberg

Part of the Spazio Sei group, Ice Iceberg showed a strong kidswear collection for autumn/winter2010/11 for boys and girls, aged two to 14.

•

As with its adult collections, inspiration from 1980s cartoons is always intrinsic to the brand's style.This season it chose Warner Brothers' Bugs Bunny as the main character.

•

Luxurious details such as fur and rhinestones show subtle ways to translate character graphic motifs.•

Back to School is another influence for part of the collection: this includes plaid and tartan mixing withersey sweats and nylon parkas in blue, red, winter white and bottle green.

•

Knitwear is a strong category for both boys' and girls'.•

WGSN loves the colourful Bugs Bunny batwing sleeve knitwear for girls, mixed with arm and legwarmers - spot-on for the 1980s vibe.

Il Gufo

Il Gufo

A magical woodland story sets the scene for the Il Gufo catwalk show. Berry tones, bark and forestgreens dominate.

•

Knitwear is once again key with cardigans, vests and classic jumpers in merino wool, cashmere andacquard.

•

Denim is dyed to fit in with the winter palette.•

Stand-out details include accentuated ruffle shoulders, boiled wool patches, mixed material usage,ruffle shoulders and college detailing.
