How to prepare the supportBefore painting it you must analyze thecharacteristics of the support. The mainparameter to estimate is the humiditydegree: painting suports too much humidcan produce worst results; the osmosisthat is produced could provoke a fastdegeneration and it can break the film ofapplied varnish. Also the handmade couldbe decomposed. Before to apply everyproduct, the surface must be smooth andcompact. If it were not therefore, it'snecessary to coat with stucco theimperfections or to remove, rubbing downor stripping the varnish layers.

Prima della verniciatura bisogna analizzare le caratteristiche del supporto.

Il parametro principale da valutare è il grado di umidità: la verniciatura

di supporti troppo umidi può produrre pessimi risultati perché il fenomeno

osmotico che si produce potrebbe provocare una veloce degenerazione

e spaccatura del film di vernice applicata e addirittura il manufatto

potrebbe marcire. Prima di applicare qualsiasi prodotto, per la verniciatura

del legno la superficie deve essere liscia e compatta. Se così non fosse,

bisogna stuccare eventuali imperfezioni o rimuovere carteggiando o

sverniciando precedenti strati di vernice.

Gli attrezzi necessari

Prima di cominciare la pitturazione è fondamentale assicurarsi di avere

tutti gli attrezzi necessari ad eseguire il lavoro:

pennelli opalini di diverse misure; spatola; spugna; carta abrasiva a grana

medio/fine; nastro adesivo; stracci puliti e vecchi giornali.

Carteggiate con carta abrasiva fine per togliere la peluria del legno e

favorire l'aderenza della vernice. Spolverate e date una mano di

impregnante trasparente (a solvente o all'acqua) che nutrirà il legno ed

eviterà gli attacchi delle muffe e dei batteri. La finitura potrà essere

effettuata con una seconda mano di impregnante se si vuole lasciare il

legno respirare, o con la vernice se si vuole raggiungere l'obiettivo di

isolare completamente il supporto ed avere un effetto lucido persistente.

...legno già verniciato

Se la superficie è in buono stato, lavatela con una spugna imbevuta di

acqua e soda o detersivo, per asportare grasso e polvere. Carteggiate con

carta abrasiva, risciacquate abbondantemente con acqua ed asciugate la

stessa con uno straccio. Dopo averla pulita carteggiate nuovamente con

carta abrasiva fine e spolverate.

Se invece la superficie presenta parti di vernice o smalto staccate, è

necessario asportarle completamente aiutandosi nei casi più difficili con

lo sverniciatore ed una spatola.

Continuate poi con tutte le operazioni sopra descritte per la pulizia del

legno ed infine verniciate.

Nel caso si voglia verniciare il supporto con una finitura a smalto, è

opportuno stuccare eventuali imperfezioni del legno e piccoli buchi con

il ns. Stucco sintetico a spatola s.507.

Carteggiare, quindi spolverare. Applicate una mano di fondo (Italpac

s.701 o Italbianco s.702) e quindi smaltare con uno dei nostri smalti

(Lait s.223, Ideal Nuova Formula s.219).

resistenza agli U.V.

È utilizzabile come finitura in grado di lasciare inalterate le venature del

legno sia nella versione trasparente che in quella colorata. Grazie alla

particolare scelta di addittivi il prodotto risulta essere un eccellente

fungicida, particolarmente efficace contro i funghi azzurranti, un antitarlo

particolarmente efficace contro la famiglia dei basidiomiceti un potente

antimuffa e un efficace antinsetti.

Wood Line s. 115

Impregnante inodore, realizzato per la protezione e la cura del legno,

destinato all'uso interno ed esterno per legno nuovo o usato. È prodotto

nella versione trasparente ed in quella pigmentata.

Può essere usato come preparazione e come finitura unica, dando ottimi

risultati. Grazie alla pigmentazione a base di ossido di ferro trasparenti il

prodotto è in grado, di lasciare inalterate le venature del legno, sia nella

versione trasparente che in quella colorata.

Pur essendo esente da mercurio, stagno, tetraclorofenolo è un eccellente

fungicida, un antitarlo particolarmente un potente antimuffa ed antinsetti.

È particolarmente indicato come protezione attiva del ferro, ma per le sue

peculiarità è tradizionalmente adoperato come fondo di preparazione per

la verniciatura delle carene di imbarcazioni in ferro ed in legno.

Pittura all'olio di lino s. 730

Pittura formulata a base di olio di lino cotto. È la classica finitura per

imbarcazioni in legno, resistente agli agenti atmosferici, da usarsi qualora

non siano richieste rapidità di essiccazione, durezza o elevata brillantezza

ma piuttosto capacità di penetrazione e grande elasticità.

Rivestimento protettivo a base di rame ed altri pregiati componenti, studiato

per svolgere la funzione antifoulling (impedisce la formazione di flora e

fauna marina) sulle carene delle imbarcazioni in legno, ferro o vetroresina

preventivamente preparate.
