… Perciò vi dico: per la vostra vita non affannatevi per quello che mangerete o berrete; e neanche per il vostro corpo,
per quello che indosserete.
C'est pourquoi je vous dis: Ne vous inquiétez pas pour votre âme de ce que
vous mangerez ou de ce que vous boirez, ni pour votre corps de quoi vous
le vêtirez.
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will wear. Is not
life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26
La vita non vale forse più del corpo ed il corpo ed il corpo più dei vestiti?
N'est pas la vie peut-être plus que le corps et le corps et le corps plus que le vêtement?
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Regardez les oiseaux du ciel, qui ne sèment ni ne moissonnent et
n'amassent rien dans des greniers,
Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing
into barns, yet your heavenly
Et votre Père céleste les nourrit. Ne valez-vous pas beaucoup plus
qu'eux?
Yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important
than they?27
E chi di voi, per quanto si dia da fare, può aggiungere un’ora sola alla sua vita?
Qui de vous, à force de soucis, pourrait ajouter une seule coudée à
la longueur de sa vie?
Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span
E perché vi affannate per il vestito? Osservate come crescono i gigli di
campo!
Et pourquoi vous inquiétez-vous pour le vêtement? Observez les lis
des champs.
Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow.
Il ne peinent ni ne filent. Or je vous dis que Salomon même, dans toute sa gloire, n'était pas vêtu comme
l'un d'eux.
They do not work or spin.2But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them.
Si donc Dieu revêt ainsi l'herbe des champs, qui est aujourd'hui et
demain sera jetée au four, ne (le fera-t-il) pas bien plus pour vous,
gens de peu de foi?
If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much
more provide for you, O you of little faith? 31
Ne vous mettez donc point en peine, disant: Que mangerons-nous ou que boirons-nous, ou de quoi nous vêtirons-nous? c'est de tout cela en effet que les païens sont en quêt.
So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?' or 'What are we to drink?' or 'What are we to wear?'32 All these things the pagans seek.
Il Padre vostro celeste sa che ne avete bisogno! Cercate il Regno
di Dio e la sua giustizia! Il resto vi sarà dato in sovrappiù!
Votre Père céleste sait que vous avez besoin de tout cela. Cherchez
premièrement le royaume et sa justice, et tout cela vous sera donné
vous en plus
Your heavenly Father knows that you need them
all.33 But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his
righteousness, and all these things will be given you
besides.
Non affannatevi quindi per il domani, perché il presente ha già le sue inquetudini! Basta ad ogni
giorno la propria pena!
N'ayez donc point de souci du lendemain, car le lendemain aura souci de lui-même: à chaque jour
suffit sa peine.
Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is oven will!
