To propose technology neutral evaluation criteria that are suited for the renewables applications
Technical ( lifetime, energy efficiency, self discharge …) Economical (investment cost, operating cost, cost of delivered kWh …) Environmental (use of scarce resources, recycling …)
To determine the needs in R&D Based on the various applications For each storage technology For the storage systems (possible hybridation …)
