Fattoria Varramista S.p.A. produce a Montopoli Val d’Arno in Toscana vini rossi di grande qualità da 600 anni, in questa Azienda dal 1406 si intrecciano le storie di famiglie nobili fiorentine e moderni imprenditori. Ma è solo negli anni Novanta che, per volere di Giovanni Alberto Agnelli, erede della splendida tenuta del nonno Enrico Piaggio, è iniziata un’opera di riconversione dei vigneti e del sistema produttivo sotto la guida dell’enologo Federico Staderini. Il Syrah è stato eletto il vitigno principe ed è il fondamentale componente del Varramista a cui si affiancano oggi altri importanti vini. Oltre che alla pregiata produzione vitivinicola, presso la tenuta è possibile degustare l’olio extra vergine di oliva prodotto da olivi secolari e soggiornare in splendidi appartamenti circondati da boschi e vigneti.
