DESIGN CONCEPT

Memory is a double-edged weapon. On one hand, it helps us remember both happy and sad moments of life. On the other hand it makes us fragile and harms us; especially when we lose it. Mental illnesses, such as Alzheimer's disease, make our experiences and recorded moments disappear little by little, without any warning.

Thanks to associations like A�etti Da, we are now actively confronting these diseases, bringing support and solutions along the way.

That's why we wanted to represent our unique vision of the Association, with a close, emotional relationship to the disease. First of all, we have selected a font with serif that emphasizes the seriousness of both the Association and the subject. A disease that destroys patient and family.

From that point, we have worked on the union of certain letters: A symbol of unification, acceptance and commitment.

Regarding the graphic, we have represented memory with a progressive semitone gradient, similar to the passage of time and forgetfulness of one's memories. It doesn’t reach a pure white, as yet there is still time to slow down the progression of the disease.

On a chromatic level, we have worked with shades of grey as the disease is often su�ered by people of advanced age.

Following the Association payo�, we have worked with a sans-serif typeface, to be close and have easy readability.

When the size of the logo is less than 10 mm, the points become a smooth gradient from black to white in the positive case, and white to black in the other cases.

The tag-line is also deleted as it has no readability due to it’s measurements.
