Grupo Aranea è il vincitore degli ARCHMARATHON Awards 2014

Oltre 1.000 visitatori professionisti hanno partecipato ad ARCHMARATHON. L'evento,in calendario dal 14 al 16 novembre scorsi presso gli East End Studios, ha trasformatoMilano nella capitale mondiale dell'architettura.

Si è conclusa domenica 16 novembre 2014 la prima edizione di ARCHMARATHON. Tregiorni intensi – da venerdì 14 a domenica 16 – di scambi internazionali di idee, know-how e relazioni in un contesto culturale di altissimo livello.

Nonostante le condizioni meteo avverse e lo sciopero dei mezzi di venerdì 14, i risultatiin termini di affluenza hanno premiato lo sforzo di ARCHMARATHON di creare unconcept senza precedenti per il mondo dell'architettura, registrando la presenza di oltre1.000 visitatori professionisti.

Il feedback avuto dagli architetti che hanno partecipato all'evento è stato molto positivosia sul livello dei progetti presentati dai 42 studi internazionali, sia sulla qualità deipartner che, proprio per sottolineare l'elevato contenuto culturale della kermesse, hannocondotto i loro momenti di relazione esclusivamente all'interno dei loro spazi espositivi.

Tra i 42 progetti presentati, la giuria internazionale - co-presieduta da Lucy Bullivant eda Luca Molinari - ha deciso di assegnare il prestigioso ARCHMARATHON Award alGrupo Aranea per il progetto “Twisted Valley”.

Inoltre è stato premiato il migliore progetto di ognuna delle nove categorie (Arts,Education, Sports, Workspaces, Urban Design/Regeneration, Private Housing, MixedTenure Housing, Transport, Retrofitting/Refurbishment).

Un ulteriore premio è stato determinato dagli internauti che, attraverso le loro votazionisul sito dell'evento, hanno attribuito l’ARCHMARATHON Crowd Award a GAD per ilprogetto “Besiktas Fishmarket”.

Durante la cerimonia di consegna dei premi, avvenuta a conclusione dei lavori, è statoconsegnato a Franco Masello, Fondatore e Presidente Onorario della Città dellaSperanza, realtà che da anni si impegna nella ricerca nel campo dell'oncologiapediatrica, un assegno di 10.000 euro. Il denaro è stato raccolto grazie alle donazionieffettuate dai visitatori e attraverso il servizio di booking che ha devoluto interamente i

soldi pervenuti. La donazione verrà utilizzata per finanziare un progetto condotto da unricercatore della fondazione.

La prossima edizione di ARCHMARATHON avrà luogo nel 2016.

Grupo Aranea is the winner of the 2015 ARCHMARATHON Awards

Over 1,000 visiting professionals took part in the ARCHMARATHON, the event, whichtook place over the 14th, 15th and 16th of November at the East End Studios and whichturned Milan into the World Capital of Architecture.

The first edition of the ARCHMARATHON finished on Sunday the 16th November. Threehectic days – from Friday the 14th to Sunday 16th – of an international exchange of ideas,know-how and relationships against a top-notch cultural background.

Despite the adverse weather conditions and the public transport strike on Friday 14 th, theresults in terms of attendance were more than enough reward for the effort put in byARCHMARATHON to create an unprecedented concept for the world of architecture,recording the presence of over 1,000 visiting professionals.

The feedback from the architects participating in the event was very positive both interms of the projects presented by the 42 international studios and in terms of the qualityof the selected partners who as if to underline the strong cultural nature of the event,undertook to use their exhibition spaces exclusively for developing relationships andmaking contacts.

Among the 42 projects presented, the international jury - co-chaired by Lucy Bullivantand Luca Molinari – decided to award the prestigious ARCHMARATHON Prize to theGrupo Aranea for the “Twisted Valley” project.

In addition, the best project from each of the nine categories received an award (Arts,Education, Sports, Workspaces, Urban Design/Regeneration, Private Housing, MixedTenure Housing, Transport, Retrofitting/Refurbishment).

A final award was made by the internauts who through their voting on the event’swebsite, awarded the ARCHMARATHON Crowd Award to GAD for the “BesiktasFishmarket” project.

During the prize-giving ceremony which took place at the end of the event, a cheque for€10,000 was presented to Franco Masello, Founder and Honorary President of the Cittàdella Speranza, an organization that has worked for years in the area of research intochildren affected by cancer. The money was collected thanks to donations made by

visitors and through the booking service which donated all the money received. Thedonation will be used to finance a project carried out by one of the Foundation’sresearchers.

The next edition of ARCHMARATHON will take place in 2016.
