on the south coast of England, people come together to celebrate art and creativity. Brighton Fringe is a
four-week long festival of theatre, dance, stand-up comedy and much more. While the festival is running, you
get the opportunity to see a whole range of shows and events. Whether it’s dancing, writing, performances,
watching films or telling jokes , there’s something for everyone. Each year, the festival attracts more and more
people. Visitors, in fancy dresses, can hang out in a central area called “Fringe City”, where there are outdoor
tents and stages. There are also other theatres and cafés throughout the city that host music events and film
nights. The events are free and the organisers even encourage people to take part. Do you have a great idea
for a performance? Come and perform your own show!
