nomadismi di ieri e di oggi
stili di vita e influenza
sui consumi

Techno Surfer... Participants in high-risk extreme
sports can benefit from innovative technology. This
outfit contains electronics that provide both fun and
safety on the slopes. Equipped with electronic ski
passes, radio links, satellite positioning, warning
displays, temperature sensors and heating
materials, it enables the dedicated snowboarder to
cope with any conditions. The integrated
thermometer detects and regulates body
temperature. An orientation sensor signals to
rescuers if the wearer has suffered a fall. A
proximity sensor on the back of the jacket detects if
another skier is getting too close and a warning
hand icon lights up to tell them to back off. And,
motion detectors monitor the rhythm of the wearer’s
movements, feeding back and constantly re-shaping
a music track being mixed by the snowboarder’s
body movements.
Micro Climate... This hooded jacket
contains an electronic filter to protect
the wearer from environmental
pollutants while outside. At the same
time, the wearer can receive regular
information updates or enjoy music via
the wireless clip-on audio device that
links to the headphones integrated in
the hood. The headphones have
external controls for ease of use when
the wearer is engaged in activity. The
fabric contains an internal woven
membrane that uses conductive yarns
to connect interfaces.
No Kidding... Designed to give parents
peace of mind, this children’s garment
uses mobile phone, fabric antennas,
radio tagging and camera technology to
monitor and pinpoint their kids’
position. To the children, however, the
coat is a device that they can use to
play exciting outdoor games. The
series of games use characters with
identity chips attached to the respective
garments. On the screen on the jacket
sleeve, the child sees the character that
represents another child, and as the
children move around, their "characters"
can be seen moving on the screen.
Surround Sound... This audio jacket provides
personal downloadable sound entertainment
on the move. The smart pocket has been
designed for a digital audio player, with an
easy jack-plug connection to interface with
the audio controls. A flash RAM loader for
audio memory has been integrated into the
sleeve, and headphones have been
integrated into the hood to create a totally
immersive audio space. All of the devices
can be controlled through a panel on the
sleeve, with a simple user interface for play,
pause, forward, rewind and volume. The
back of the jacket makes a fashion statement,
featuring an electroluminescent digital display
spectrum analyzer, which emits light pulsating
at the music’s varying frequencies.
Close Encounters... This jacket’s small
embedded camera records the wearer’s
environment. The system is then able to
recognize faces of those encountered
and the integrated collar headphones
provide audio feedback, discreetly
reminding the wearer of the identity of
the person just met and details of any
previous encounters. The small camera
also can capture special moments,
holidays and events that then can be
shared with family and friends
