fareunapasseggiata.OggiandremonelparconaturalediFanes-Sennes-Braies,unodeipiùvastiterritoridolomiticisottopostiatutela,conelementipaesaggisticiuniciesoprattut-to inaspettati.E’unpercorsocherichiedeattrezza-turapoichélopossiamoconsiderareun“avviamentoalle vie ferrate”: troveremo alcuni passaggi dove ènecessariomettersiinsicurezzautilizzandoicavidiacciaioposizionatineipassaggipiùarischioconl’usodiimbragaturaconmoschettoni,caschettoprotettivoeunagiaccaaventoperproteggersidall’acquanebu-lizzataenaturalmenteun’adeguataeaccuratacalza-turadatrekking.Tuttaviaperchinonvogliacimentarsiinquestogene-rediesperienza,l’escursioneprevededipoterevitareleferrate,rinunciandoquindiagodereleemozionan-ti sensazioni, limitandosi a vederedaunaposizionepiù lontanalesuggestivecascatechetroviamolun-goquestafantasticapasseggiata.Un’altraopzioneèquelladisceglieredidividere lapasseggiata induegiornate: la prima per visitare la parte bassa dellaValleelasecondaperarrivarefinoalloSbarcodiFa-nes.Entrambiipercorsisisviluppanoadanello,chepuòessereintrapresosiainsensoorariocheantio-rarioperpoiridiscendereversoCortina.PerraggiungereilParcosipercorrelastatalediAle-magna in direzione Dobbiaco. A circa cinque chilo-metridaCortinasullasinistrasinota laportad’in-gressochedàaccessoallastradachescendeversoilparcheggioalponteFelizonpostoamt.1327epocolontanosi trova l’ufficiodelleguardie forestalieungraditobardoverifocillarsiprimadipartireoalrien-trodallepasseggiate.Da qui inizia la salita lieve e didattica: infatti le es-senzepresentilungolastradasonosegnalateede-scritteinmanieraaccurata.DopoaverattraversatoilBoite,sigiungealPonteAlto(Outo)aquota1460cheattraversa ilrioTravenanzes.Traveritàe leggenda,sinarracheaiprimidelXVsecoloilpontefossestatomanomessodaiVinighesiinvidiosi,alloraproprietarideipascolidellazona,nellasperanzacheilcavaliereGabrielediBrack,venendospessodallavallediMa-rebbea farvisitaallafidanzataalCastellodiPode-stagno,precipitasseungiornonellaforra.Ungiornoinveceilcavaliere,giuntosull’orlodelbaratroeac-cortosi del tranello, spronò il destriero, che con unincredibilebalzosuperòl’ostacololasciandoinemicicon un palmo di naso. E’ impressionante, sporgen-dosidallaspallettadelponte,vedere l’orridosotto-stante,anticipodialtreincredibilivisionichelavalledi Fanes, salendo fino al passo di Limo a 2172 mt.,riserva all’escursionista. leads beneath the waterfall: the spray creates a refreshing and fabulous atmos-phere. Secondly, crossing a narrow fork between arid and colorful can-yons with sparse vegetation, sud-denly one finds oneself in a gully. One comes down to a short but challenging verti-cal wall equipped with an iron ladder and safety ropes. The path contin-ues now between boulders reaching the imposing, deafening and amaz-ing waterfall formed by the rio Fanes that falls into a dizzying leap and disappears in a colorful rainbows to the Lake formed at her feet. Here continue on the right side of the river, crossing an iron bridge on the Lucio Dalaiti via ferrata, that on a narrow ledge rock ascends flanked by a steep wall, taking one to the way back. Or one can decide to stay on the left side of the stream where the steep zig-zag path leads to a lookout over the waterfalls and continuing through the forests up to ponte Felizon to the beginning of the walk. Back on the road via ferrata Dalaiti deciding, on a second day to advance on the upper part of the valle di Fanes, one passes the turning for the first waterfalls and follows the sign for path no. 10 that, through the woods, leads to heaven. Here on one is in incredibly evocative and unfrequented place. After crossing the middle water-fall one climbs steeply and on the side of the mountain the path becomes narrow. The noise of the water is overpowering and close to the landing one goes ahead hooking the karabiners to steel ropes embedded in the rock. Your heart beats with fatigue and emotion of proceeding towards the origins of Fanes and one feels a profound respect towards the mountain and its secrets. The stream is the child of these places and its tumultuous waters express its vitality and abundance. One dives into a prehistoric humidity, the welcoming Mother Earth from which each of us has come. Beyond the curtain of water that welcomes is a sort of womb that deserves a brief stop to savor the atmosphere, the sun remerges and one raises thanks to a small wall equipped with ladders, which requires a lot of attention. The difficult transition takes one above the landing where the calm water does not hint of the sub-sequent turbulence. From here, the path is easy and in a short time one regains the path.

The beautiful day guarantees good weather: ideal conditions for trekking in the Fanes-Senes-Braies

natural park, one of the largest dolomite protected ter-ritories. It is a trip that requires climbing equipment and adequate footwear, but it is also possible for those who don’t want to climb.One can divide the walk in two days: the first visiting the lower part of the Valley and the second to reach Sbarco di Fanes. You reach the park along the Alemagna high-way direction Dobbiaco. At about five kilometres from Cortina on the left you see the entrance gate which ac-cesses the road that goes down to the parking at the Felizon Bridge, not far from the foresters office and a pleasant bar. From here begins a mild climb. After crossing the Boite, you reach the Ponte Alto (Outo) at an altitude of 1460 that crosses the rio Travenanzes.
