delle antiche mura, si trova Rocca Sveva, un borgo medievale che Cantina

di Soave ha trasformato in un centro di eccellenza vinicola.

Qui nascono i vini Rocca Sveva e gli spumanti

metodo classico, una piccola, ricercatissima

selezione di vini della tradizione veronese: sorsi di

visitando le cantine, tra enormi botti di rovere,

lunghe file di barrique e di pupitre dove i vini e gli

spumanti riposano per lunghi anni: si tratta di una

In the shadow of the majestic medieval Castello di Soave, right up against the castle’s

ancient walls, lies Rocca Sveva, a hamlet built in the Middle Ages that Cantina di Soave

has transformed into a prestigious centre of wine culture.

Today, it is the home of the Rocca Sveva wines and classic-method sparkling wines,

an extremely limited-production selection of absolute-quality

wines, icons of Verona’s great winemaking traditions: pure

beauty in the wineglass.

Rocca Sveva is an emotion-laden experience as well: stroll

through the cellars amidst enormous oak ovals, endless rows

of wine barrels and wooden riddling racks, where the sparkling

wines rest through long years. Here, one is truly touring an

underground, miniature city.

Our elegant wine shop in Rocca Sveva makes

it easy to purchase Cantina di Soave products.

Since 1898, this winery has been committed to

producing wines classic to Verona’s tradition,

in particular its famed

white wine, Soave, in all

of its traditional styles;

the long-prized wines

of Valpolicella, with

Amarone as its fullest

expression; and Lessini

Durello sparkling wine,

traditional to the hills between Verona and

Vicenza. Our proud standard-bearers are the

Rocca Sveva wines, which are made right in

that storied complex, together with our great

classic-method sparkling wines.

In the wine shop you will also find our Enoteca

Storica, our Historic Wine Library, where you

may purchase our Rocca Sveva Reserve

wines, all of which testify and pay tribute to

the world-famous winemaking tradition of our

growing areas.

Rocca Sveva è infatti anche una

suggestiva location, molto richiesta per

eventi privati o aziendali e come centro

congressi. Sono circa 200 le aziende

che ogni anno si avvalgono delle nostre

numerose sale meeting e del nostro

grande auditorium da 650 posti.

In alcuni casi particolari, valutati di volta

in volta dal nostro Team Hospitality, è

possibile riservare alcune delle stanze

della villa antica, spazi più raccolti

e raffinati, per riunioni particolari e

momenti importanti.

Sveva is the ideal venue for organizing special

events, which quickly become moments of

pure pleasure, opportunities for savouring

our wines while immersed in an atmosphere

without peer.

Rocca Sveva is, in fact, a very striking spot,

much sought-after for private and business

events, and for conferences. Each year, some

200 companies take full advantage of our

many meeting rooms and of our spacious,

650-seat auditorium.

In certain cases, upon approval by our

Hospitality Team, it is possible to reserve

rooms on our historic villa, which offers small

but ultra-elegant spaces for special meetings

and important occasions.

A Rocca Sveva si trova un rigoglioso

giardino botanico che conta più di

150 specie arboree tutte catalogate.

Originariamente era il parco dell’antica

villa che sorge proprio al centro di

Rocca Sveva e ne costituisce ancora

oggi il cuore pulsante.

Il giardino botanico confina con il

vigneto sperimentale all’interno del

quale conduciamo delle ricerche sulle

uve autoctone del territorio e sui relativi

sistemi di allevamento.

L’aspetto suggestivo è che il vigneto offre

un panorama davvero straordinario:

viste da qui le mura

del castello sembrano

abbracciare il borgo

medievale di Soave

con le sue stradine

strette e le sue corti

irregolari.

Si vedono le montagne in lontananza

e tutt’intorno i vigneti che si rincorrono

sui colli, per poi perdersi all’orizzonte

nella pianura sconfinata.

IL GIARDINO BOTANICO & IL VIGNETO

Rocca Sveva also boasts a flourishing botanical

garden with more than 150 catalogued plant

and tree species.Originally, this was the park of

the villa that lies right in the heart of Rocca Sveva

and which is still today its

spiritual centre. The garden

borders on the experimental

vineyard, where we carry out

research into local native

grape varieties and their

vine-training methods. What

is most intriguing is that the vineyard offers a

stunning panoramic view. Gazing towards the

castle, its walls seem to embrace the medieval

village of Soave, with its narrow lanes and

irregular spaces; mountains loom up in the

distance, while in every direction appear the

vineyards, rising up the slopes of the hills and

then stretching endlessly across the plain below.
