GALLERIA D’ ARTE CONTEMPORANEA
TRASMUTAZIONI
“It is said that there is nothing firm, stable, lasting, throughout the universe: that nothing remains in his state; that every day, every hour, every moment, bring a change. “(Cit. Frank Herbert)
Rafael Espada is a versatile artist, innovative and intense in its conceptualism as in artistic sponta-neity.
His works are composed of material elements and mixed media where objects used and carefully chosen for the artistic composition of his works are decontextualized to proceed to the re-use of a new-dada matrix; the same through a complex assembly process. The reference to erudite citations is measured carefully at recent and intellectual images example in of his brain.
TRANSMUTATIONS

“In nova Fert animus mutatas dicere formascorpora. Di coeptis (nam vos mutastis et illas) ““L’estro mi spinge a narrare di forme mutate in corpi nuovi.Oh dèi (anche queste trasformazioni furono pure opera vostra)”
(Ovidio, Le metamorfosi, I.1-2)
Totally foreign to the mystification of the work of art in itself, Espada talks to the user not only with the finished work but with every single tool used. The “rediscovery” is congenial to him, much to replace a product in an environment totally different from that for which it was created and inventing a new reality, parallel and dedicated to pure creativity.
The process of selection and assembly are often completely random and encouraged by pure instinct that is inherent in the artist and that makes both fascinating at the same time.
I would say that research is a key to understanding the art of Rafael Espada: search and matter, conceptual research, experimental research, they unfold in front of the viewer leaving him stunned and amazed by so much impetus “genial-brain”.
Sign of maturity of personality is also the attitude playful and ironic that Rafel Espada implements what looming toward us with subliminal messages underlying the intuition of those who observe his artistic creations. For example often I find a reference to the idea of the “consumption” of an object, to that of the continuity in time; metaphors of complex ideas that result in a gesture that has shades hedonistic and paradoxically powerful.
The need to overcome those who are the classic predefined (in art or philanthropic level) is a leitmotif that heralds incipient love undisputed artist Espada for the form as much as the persistent nurturing towards a true form of minimalist and pure abstraction.
The vision of ensemble pleasantly emotional and emotional and leads us directly - and without going through the “Via” - a demonstration of the extraordinary personality that emerges in every single job.
Canned foods, utensils, nails, technical materials used in the aviation industry - in which the same Espada has worked for a long time and that is for him a source of inspiration - footwear, networks, cutlery ... each object is a useful inspiration and it is desired because of a creativity that is faithful only to itself.Metamorphosis, metamorpheo, the ancients said here is the idea of transmutation of an object to another; the work of art that contains facets, lives lived and the clamor that Espada not looking by nature, but only because they genuinely driven by the feeling of experimentation and mutation.
“In nova Fert animus mutatas dicere formascorpora. Of Coeptis (nam et vos mutastis illas) ““The talent pushes me to tell of mutated forms in new bodies. Oh gods (these transformations were also your work) “
(Ovidio, Le Metamorfosi, I.1-2)
