The present specification defines the basic fundamental technical requirements for thedesign of a control panel to operate a diesel or gas internal combustion engine drivengenerator.

2.3 Control System
The generator set can be controlled by means of one of two system listed in TABLE 1.Said system are typical to the selected type of control panel.
The contro panel must be installed accordin to TABLE 1 and to the functions they carryout.

2.4 Function capabilities
Functions developed by the various control panels are shown in the table below.

3. TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
3.1. Functions
Operative functions activated by the three different control panels GSCP-01, GSCP-02and GSCP-03 are listed in TABLE 3, 4, 5:

3.2 Special requirements for emergency generators
In case of the control system failure it shall be possible to guarantee the operability ofcertain controls (start/stop - emergency stop - speed/voltage change) by maintaining themain safe protections of the generator set and overriding the ones of minor importance.
3.3 Internal components of the panel
The apparatuses to be fitted with in the control panel are indicated in TABLE 6.However supplier will be responsible of to add, change or select different componentsneeded to guarantee optimal system operation versus the specific project philosophy andcontrol panel operation capabilities required by company.

3.5 Electrical interconnections
The necessary features to electrically connect the control panel with all the variouscomponents of the generation, distribution panel and the plant central control shall beprovided.
In addition, the terminal blocks/connectors shall be made available and separated inrelation to they various interconnecting functions.
