stradale e nella produzione di fusioni per la meccanica di alta precisione, in

particolare prodotti dedicati ai sistemi frenanti e parti motore.

Ogni giorno insieme ai miei collaboratori rispondiamo alle sfide di mercato con

passione e dedizione, con lo scopo principale di creare valore e soddisfazione

Ad essi voglio quindi dedicare questo lavoro, che racconta non solo un prodotto

With strong pride I am the chairman of Montini Group, a historical merging

company specialized in the production of manholes covers and gratings for the

vehicular and the pedestrian areas and in high precision mechanics production,

notably in brake discs and engine’s parts.

Together with my collaborators we face the market’s challenges with passion

and devotion everyday, in order to create value and satisfy our customers.

product or the production process, on the contrary it tells our history and we

LA STORIA La nostra storia fonda le proprie radici agli inizi secolo scorso, e più precisamente nel 1919, anno in cui viene per la prima volta avviato il forno fusorio e dato vita alla prima spillata di metallo liquido, di quella che sarà destinata ad essere l’azienda italiana più importante nel settore dei chiusini e caditoie in ghisa.I primi prodotti realizzati, rappresentano per quell’epoca una degna offerta nel panorama dell’idraulica e della fumisteria, che col tempo, vengono sostituiti da materiali alternativi quali porcella e plastica per l’idraulica, e materiali refrattari per la fumisteria.Questo cambiamento di tendenza spinge l’azienda a puntare maggiormente su un prodotto la cui crescita si affermava sempre più nelle quantità utilizzate, ma non accompagnata da un innalzamento del livello qualitativo, ancora privo di norme di regolamentazione e di certificati di conformità.Vengono quindi installate linee di produzione altamente automatizzate, con schemi produttivi e organizzativi, che fanno dello stabilimento di Roncadelle una delle fonderie più moderne e prestigiose nel panorama Europeo, e la cui notorietà è riconosciuta ormai in tutto il mondo.Da qui l’intuizione di Luigi Regali, successore di Copernico Regali fondatore nel 1960 delle Fonderie Regali di Travagliato, nota azienda fusoria nel settore dischi freno, di acquistare le Fonderie Montini e creare un unico Polo Italiano della Ghisa, creando la brand division Montini nell’edilizia e la brand division Regali nel settore industriale del disco freno, con una rete commerciale dedicata e organizzata su tutto il territorio Europeo.La passione che tutti i giorni ci accompagna ci dà la motivazione per continuare con costanza e intraprendenza la nostra attività, per scrivere nuove pagine della nostra storia.

HISTORY Our history puts down its roots at the beginning of last century, to be exactly in 1919.In this year the furnace was started for the first time and it let the first tapping of liquid metal of a firm, which seems to be destined to become the most important Italian firm in cast iron manholes and gully tops’ market.The first products realised, represent for the time a suitable offer in hydraulics and funnels’ setting.The manufacturing had been soon replaced with alternative materials such as porcelain and plastics, largely used in hydraulics, and wayward materials, used in funnels.This change of trend moves the company to rely on a product whose growth was establishing in quantities used, but it was not joined to a rise of quality level being still out of regulation norms and of certifications of conformity.Highly automated production lines with productive and organisational schemes was established and it makes the foundry in Roncadelle one of the most modern and considerable in the European setting and whose prestige is recognised all over the world.From here derives the intuition of Luigi Regali, successor of Copernico Regali, the founder of Fonderie Regali in Travagliato in 1960, a well-known company in brake-disk market, to acquire Fonderie Montini and to begin a single Italian centre for cast iron, creating the brand division Montini for building trade and the brand division Regali for the industry of brake disc, with a commercial net organised in the European area.A daily passion gives us the enthusiasm to continue with constancy and initiative our activity.

LA FONDERIATHE FOUNDRY

Due sono gli stabilimenti in cui realizziamo tutte le fasi di produzione della nostra gamma prodotti, interamente progettata nei nostri centri di ricerca e sviluppo.La loro ubicazione è sita nel territorio industriale di Roncadelle, su un’area di 250.000 MQ, e nella vicina Travagliato, su un’area di circa 50.000 MQ.Un Polo Italiano della Ghisa, con una capacità annua installata di oltre 130.000 Tonnellate/Anno.

We realise all the production’s phases in two plants.Our range of product is completely designed in our research and development centre / office.The plants are placed in the industrial area in Roncadelle, on a surface of 250,000 MQ, and in Travagliato on a surface of 50,000 MQ. It is the Italian cast iron centre, with an annual capacity installed of more than 130,000 Ton / year.

Le materie prime, dosate e mescolate automaticamente, vengono introdotte nel forno cubilotto a lunga campagna per la rifusione.

Raw materials are weighted and mixed automatically for charging and melting in a log campaign cupola furnace.

La ghisa fusa viene raccolta in un forno elettrico di attesa e riscaldo per essere poi spillata in siviera e distribuita agli impianti di formatura e di colata.

The molten cast iron is fed into an electric holding fornace and taken by a ladle for distributing to the moulding plants.

LA GHISA LAMELLARE E SFEROIDALETra i materiali indicati dalla norma UNI EN 124:1995 come idonei alla realizzazione di chiusini e griglie per uso stradale, la ghisa è sicuramente uno dei più utilizzati.Ma le ghise non sono tutte uguali ed ognuna ha caratteristiche diverse a seconda dell’applicazione considerata.

SPECIFICHE GHISALe ghise si dividono principalmente in lamellari e sferoidali e si caratterizzano per la differenza strutturale, ovvero per la forma sotto la quale si viene a trovare la grafite libera (carbonio):

1. Grafite lamellare - nelle ghise lamellari sotto forma di lamelle. 2. Grafite sferoidale - nelle ghise sferoidali si presenta come noduli.3. Lamelle di grafite in matrice perlitica - Grazie all’esperienza maturata negli anni e supportata da continui investimenti, MONTINI è riuscita ad ottenere la ghisa lamellare perlitica, che ha caratteristiche meccaniche superiori alla ghisa lamellare tradizionale, grazie alla completa, fine ed omogenea distribuzione della perlite.

I vantaggi della ghisa lamellare rispetto alla ghisa sferoidale sono: resistenza alla corrosione: la presenza di grafite sotto forma di lamelle al posto degli sferoidi rallenta estremamente la velocità di penetrazione della corrosione, quindi la possibilità di perforazione;smorzamento delle vibrazioni: sempre grazie alla forma della grafite libera, le vibrazioni vengono smorzate più velocemente, con la conseguente riduzione della propagazione del rumore;allungamento: nelle ghise lamellari è praticamente trascurabile, assicurando nel tempo l’indeformabilità del prodotto, mentre nelle ghise sferoidali può arrivare anche al 18%;procedura di ottenimento: il processo di produzione è molto meno delicato del processo di sferoidizzazione, per il quale anche un piccolo ritardo nella colata può compromettere il risultato finale con gravi conseguenze sulla resistenza meccanica del getto.

FLAkE-GRAPHITE CAST IRON AND SPHEROIDAL CAST IRONAmong the most suitable materials for manufacturing of manhole and gully tops, according to the EN 124:1994, cast iron is one of the most used. But there is not only kind of cast iron and each one has different characteristics according to the use.

Specific cast iron Cast iron in mainly divided into flake-graphite and spheroidal which have structural differences. It is given by the shape under wich the free graphite (carbon) is formed:

1. Flake-graphite cast iron, in flake-graphite cast iron the shape is laminar;2. Spheroidal cast iron, while in spheroidal cast iron it is in shape of nodules,3. Flakes graphite in pearlitic matrix, starting with the advantages of the pearlitic flake-graphite cast iron, thanks to its experience matured in years and supported by continuous investments, Montini has been able to produce pearlitic flake-graphite cast iron, which has higher resistance than traditional lamellar cast iron.

The advantages of the flake-graphite cast iron in comparison to spheroidal cast iron are:Resistance to corrosion: the presence of graphite in laminar shape instead of nodules slowers penetration of corrosion and therefore the possibility of perforation;Damping of vibrations: always thanks to the shape of the free graphite, vibrations are dumped more quickly, with the consequent reduction of noise development;Elongation: while elongation in flake-graphite in practically negligible assuring no deformability of the item as time goes by in spheroidal cast iron it can reach 18%;Production process: the production is simpler then the spheroidalization process in which also a small delay in pouring can compromise the finish result with heavy consequences on the resistance of the casting.

ENGINEERING INNOVATIVO - IL PROCESSO PROGETTUALEL’individuazione dei migliori materiali abbinata all’esperienza maturata nella meccanica di precisione prodotta dalla divisione industriale, ha fatto si di creare una gamma prodotti caratterizzata da prestazioni mai viste nel panorama dei chiusini e caditoie in GLP. Al termine delle prove, delle estreme condizioni dei test ambientali per il traffico urbano, per l’utilizzo difforme e peggiorativo rispetto alle classi di appartenenza dei prodotti, possiamo registrare:

1 Ampliamento delle luci nette; è stata maggiorata la luce netta di passaggio per velocizzare le operazioni di posa in cantiere e migliorare gli accessi per manutenzioni e interventi. 2 Incremento della sicurezza e della durata; come si evince dalla comparazione dei grafici, la resistenza ai carichi e alle deformazioni sono eccezionali, ponendo i nostri chiusini e le nostre caditoie tra i prodotti maggiormente sicuri e performanti del proprio settore.3 Riduzione peso complessivo; è stata studiata una redistribuzione dei pesi e delle masse per togliere materiale in

eccesso e rinforzare le zone maggiormente sollecitate. Grazie alla nuova geometria strutturale a rombo le sollecitazioni provocate del traffico vengono assorbite e scaricate in modo più efficace. I vantaggi in termini di costi logistici, movimentazione e maneggevolezza sono evidenti. sistema di anti-ristagnamento dei liquidi in superficie; 4 Anti-ristagnamento; è stato introdotto un nuovo concetto per agevolare il deflusso delle acque meteoriche, per evitare possibili fenomeni di aquaplaning e il formarsi di strati di ghiaccio in superficie. Tutti questi miglioramenti tecnologici sono contenuti nel marchio Montini Tecno, il quale caratterizza un pacchetto di innovazioni brevettate e applicate a buona parte dei prodotti tradizionali di Montini.

ENGINEERING INNOVATION - THE PLANNING PROCESS The individuation of the best materials joined to the experience in the precision mechanics produced in the industrial division, allowed the creation of a range of products characterised by new services in GLP manholes and gratings. At the end of trials and environmental tests on the urban traffic done in extreme conditions, because of different and pejorative usage of the products in relations to the belonging class, we can note:1 Widening of clear openings It has been increased the clear opening in order to accelerate the operation of laying in the construction site and to improve the access to maintenance and intervention.2 Increasing of safety and duration As we can see from the comparison of the graphics, incredible is the resistance to freight and to deformation. It places our manholes and gratings between the safest and with high performance in our market. 3 Reduction of total weight It was studied a distribution of weight and moles to pull out rife materials and to enforce the

most pressurised zones. Thanks to the new structural rhombus shape, the vibration caused by the traffic are absorbed

in a more efficiently way. Considerable are also the logistics costs, materials handling and manageability.4 The anti-stagnation system of liquid on the surface It was introduced a new concept to facilitate the flow of rains and to avoid possible phenomena

such as aquaplaning and the formation of ice layer on the surface. All these technological improvements are contained in the brand TECNO by Montini, which is characterised by a series of innovations patented and applied to a huge number of traditional Montini’s items. TRAdIzIOnALe

6. Materiali6.1. Generalità6.1.1. Dispositivi di chiusura e dispositivi di coronamentoI dispositivi di chiusura e i dispositivi di coronamento, con l’eccezione delle griglie, devono essere realizzati con uno dei seguenti materiali: a) ghisa a grafite lamellare; b) ghisa a grafite sferoidale; c) getti d’acciaio; d) acciaio laminato; e) uno dei materiali di cui in a) b) c) d) in abbinamento con calcestruzzo; o f) calcestruzzo armato con acciaio.

L’uso dell’acciaio laminato è ammissibile soltanto se viene garantita una resistenza alla corrosione sufficiente.Questa resistenza può essere ottenuta mediante galvanizzazione a caldo su una superficie pulita avente uno spessore maggiore o uguale ai valori forniti nel prospetto I. Lo spessore minimo dell’acciaio laminato deve essere 2.75 mm. (tranne che per la protezione degli spigoli e delle superfici di contatto che deve essere conforme a quanto disposto in 7.7) 6.1.2. Griglie Le griglie devono essere costruite con: g) ghisa a grafite lamellare h) ghisa a grafite sferoidale; o i) getti d’acciaio.

9 Marcatura Tutti i coperchi, la griglia e i telai devono riportare: a) EN 124 (quale marcatura della presente norma); b) la classe appropriata (per esempio D400) o le classi appropriate per i telai utilizzati per le diverse classi (per esempio D400 – E600); c) il nome e/o il marchio di identificazione del fabbricante e il luogo di fabbricazione che può essere in codice; d) il marchio di un ente di certificazione; e possono riportare: e) marcature aggiuntive relativa all’applicazione e al proprietario; f) l’identificazione del prodotto (nome e/o numero di catalogo).

Le marcature di cui sopra devono essere riportate in maniera chiara e durevole e devono, dove possibile, essere visibili quando l’unità è installata.

Manhole tops and gully tops Manhole tops and gully tops with the exception of gratings shall be made from either: a) flake graphite cast iron; b) spheroidal graphite cast iron; c) cast steel; d) rolled steel; e) one of the materials, a) to d) combined with concrete; or f) steel reinforced concrete.

The use of rolled steel is admissible only if a sufficient corrosion resistance is ensured. This resistance can be achieved by hot-dip galvanizing on a clean surface with a thickness of equal or grater than the values given in talbe1. The minimum thickness of rolled shall be 2.75 mm. ( except for contact and edge protection which shall comply with 7.7).6.1.2 Gratings Gratings shall be made from either: g) flake graphite cast iron; h) spheroidal graphite cast iron; or i) cast steel.9. Marking All covers, gratings and frames shall bear: a) EN 124 (as the marking of this European Standard); b) the appropriate class (e.g. D400) or classes for frames which can be used for several classes (e.g. D400 – E600); c) the name and/or identification mark of the manufacturer and the place of manufacturer which may be in code; d) the mark of a certification body; and may bear: e) additional markings relating to the application or the owner; f) product identification (name and/or catalogue number).The above mentioned markings shall be clear and durable. L’azienda MONTINI, presente sul territorio da più di 50 anni ha fatto del rispetto dell’ambiente una parte importante delle proprie decisioni e dei propri sforzi economici al fine di ottenere un miglioramento continuo. A conferma di questo ha ottenuto fin dal giugno 2007 il rilascio dell’autorizzazione integrata ambientale.Non solo quindi il rispetto delle leggi e delle norme di buona tecnica, ma anche il consenso da parte degli altri attori presenti sul territorio, pubblici e privati.

Il prodotto realizzato dall’azienda è riciclabile al 99,9% e la verniciatura, quando utilizzata, è ecologica e rispettosa dell’ambiente oltre che della salute umana.

MONTINI, active in the area for more than 50 years, has made the environment a main part of their decision and invest a lot on it, in order to get a constant improvement.In confirmation of this, Montini got since 2007 the integrate environmental permit.Not only the respect of laws and good technique norms, but also the consent from the other actors present on the territory, both public and private.

The product realized from the Company is recyclable at 99,9% and the painting, when it is used, is ecological and care of the environment besides the health.

Assicurarsi che la sede di posa del pozzetto sia integra e pulita, irruvidendola permigliorare la presa della malta cementizia.

Distribuire il letto di posa (avente resistenza minima a compressione a fine presa pari a Rck 350) con spessore da 1 a 4 cm in modo da ottenere una superficie liscia e uniforme.

Distribute the mortar bed (having a minimumcompressive strength of hardened mortar of Rck 350) with thickness from 1 to 4 cm in order to obtain a smooth and regular surface.

Le superfici cementizie così ottenute devono essere lisciate e rese uniformi in modo da evitare infiltrazioni.

The mortar surfaces have to be smoothened and uniform in order to avoid penetrations.

Posizionare il telaio sul letto di posa centrando la luce del pozzetto e pigiandolo in modo da fissarlo saldamente.

Pulire accuratamente la parte interna del chiusino e in particolare le sedi di appoggio del telaio e del coperchio: per non compromettere la corretta posa in opera, il coperchio dovrebbe essere inserito nel telaio dopo che il materiale di posa ha fatto sufficiente presa ed usando se possibile un dispositivo di sollevamento meccanico.

Clean accurately the inner side of the manhole or gully top and particularly the contact surfaces of the frame and the cover/grating: for not compromising correct installation, the cover/grating should be inserted in the frame after that the cement is hardened using, if possible, a mechanical lifting device.

Controllare che il bordo superiore del telaio si trovi a livello del manto stradale: nel caso sia necessario spessorare, usare materiali resistenti alla compressione e duraturi (quali ghisa, ferro o cemento) e compatibili con i materiali di posa usati; non usare mattonelle e/o piastrelle frantumate o pezzi di legno.

Check that the upper edge of the frame is at the same level of road pavement: if it is necessary to pack, use materials with high compression and lasting strength (such as cast iron, iron or concrete) and compatible with used installation materials; do not use small pieces of bricks or tiles or pieces of wood.

Il riempimento attorno al chiusino deve essere fatto non prima di tre ore e con lo stesso materiale di posa e/o materiali quali calcestruzzi espansi o bituminosi.

Prima di rendere transitabile il chiusino attendere e rispettare i tempi di maturazione forniti dal produttore del cemento o del prodotto equivalente utilizzato.

Come già detto anche il chiusino ha un suo limite di durata, di qualsiasi materiale esso sia, specialmente se installato in zone di maggiore sollecitazione dovuta al traffico. Perciò è consigliabile tenere controllati proprio quelli più esposti all’usura, e sostituire quelli troppo vecchi e non più a norma.

As already said, also the manhole or gully top has a durability limit, no matter which material it is made of, especially if installed in highly stressed traffic areas. For this reason it is advised to keep under control the ones which are more exposed to wear, replace old ones and those not anymore in conformity to the norm.

Il coperchio: realizzato con foro d’aggancio per consentire l’apertura tramite un comune piccone, non necessità di sistemi di chiusura che possono incepparsi o rompersi, a tutto vantaggio della velocità d’ispezione.

The cover: designed with hooking holes which allow it to be opened using an ordinary pick, it does not need closing systems that can become stuck or break, thus offering the advantage of quick inspection.

La guarnizione: il telaio è dotato di una guarnizione speciale in elastomero per evitare la fuoriuscita di eventuali sgradevoli odori.

The seal: the frame has a special seal in elastomer to avoid the escape of any unpleasant smells.

La cerniera: sistema che evita lo sfilamento accidentale del coperchio e allo stesso tempo consente per sicurezza la fuoriuscita di gas o liquidi, senza il pericolo di lasciare scoperto il foro d’ispezione.

The hinge: this system prevents the cover from accidentally slipping off but at the same time allows gas or liquids to escape safely, without the ranger of leaving the inspection hole uncovered.

Il coperchio è dotato di una guarnizione speciale in elastomero, come in uso normalmente per questa tipologia di prodotto, in modo da garantirne la stabilità e silenziosità all’interno del proprio telaio.

Coperchio e telaio sono completati con riempimento e finitura in calcestruzzo con resistenza a compressione di 45 N/mm2, resistente al gelo ed ai sali secondo UNI EN 206-1.

Cover and frame are completed with the filling and finishing of concrete with resistance to compression of 45 N/mm², resistant to freeze and to salts according to UNI EN 206-1.

RSLa posa del prodotto deve essere fatta come da indicazioni del documento “Guida

all’installazione di dispositivi di coronamento e di chiusura in zone di circolazione pedonale e/o veicolare (chiusini e caditoie) UNI/TR 11256: prestare la massima attenzione per la presenza degli ammortizzatori agganciati al coperchio al fine di preservarne la forma, l’integrità e l’aggancio.

MODALITÀ DI POSALa testa del pozzetto deve essere di sezione quadrata, ben pulita e piana, e la sua profondità, rispetto al livello stradale finito, deve essere uguale o maggiore a 10 cm. Predisporre un apposito letto di posa di almeno 2 cm di spessore usando calcestruzzo, o malte a presa rapida, con Rck maggiore di 50 N/mm².Posizionare il telaio sul letto di posa e centrare la luce del pozzetto, assicurarsi che il bordo superiore del telaio sia complanare con la strada circostante, quindi ricoprire le alette con lo stesso materiale fino ad arrivare a 2 cm dal bordo superiore del telaio per permettere la finitura del manto stradale. Assicurarsi che il riempimento sotto il telaio ed attorno allo stesso sia completo ed omogeneo. Per maggiore sicurezza, fissare lo stesso con armature metalliche passanti a cavallo delle alette angolari prima di procedere alla copertura delle stesse con il materiale di posa.Terminata la fase di presa del materiale di posa, procedere alla pulizia scrupolosa della parte interna del telaio assicurandosi che non ci sia calcestruzzo o altro sulla sede.

CHIUSURA E/O APERTURA DEL CHIUSINO Pulire bene, se necessario, i fori di aggancio per l’apertura usando un utensile appuntito, punteruolo o cacciavite. Il coperchio deve quindi essere agganciato con due chiavi, in modo da tenerlo il più possibile in posizione orizzontale, ed inserito/sollevato verticalmente rispetto al proprio telaio: il SILENTE 500 può essere movimentato anche da un solo operatore mentre il 600 ed il 700, per la loro dimensione, è meglio che vengano manovrati da due operatori. Assicurarsi che siano presenti tutti e dodici gli ammortizzatori, inseriti nella loro sede e che non siano danneggiati: in caso di mancanza e/o dubbio sulla loro integrità provvedere al loro reintegro e/o sostituzione. Per l’apertura e/o chiusura del SILENTE usare esclusivamente la chiave per chiusini cod. 2881/00 oppure un attrezzo simile. L’uso del piccone è escluso.

INSTRUCTION OF LAYING / HOW TO DO THE LAYINGThe head of the sump should be square-shaped, clean and plane, and its deepness, at street level should be of 10 or more centimeters. Lay in advance a suitable base of at least 2 cm of thickness using concrete, or quick – setting mortar, with Rck more than 50 n/ mm².Put the frame on the bed and centre the clear opening of the sump, ensure the upper side of the frame is coplanar to the street, then cover the tabs with the same material up to reach 2 cm from the upper edge to allow the finishing of the wearing course.Assure the filling under the frame and around it is complete and homogeneous. For good measure, fix it with metal skeleton, which got across the angular tabs, before covering them with the laying material. Finished the quick setting of the laying material, clean scrupulously the interior part of the frame making sure that there is no concrete or other remaining on the base..

CLOSING/OPENING OF THE MANHOLE COVER.Clean well, if necessary, the hook holes for the opening using a sharp tool, an awl or a screwdriver. The cover must be hooked with two spanners, for the purpose of keeping it as much as possible in horizontal position, and insert / lifted vertical compared with its frame: SILENTE 500 can be moved from a single worker while SILENTE 600 and 700, due to their dimension, had better to be hand- tooled from two workers. Ensure every of the 12 shock absorbers is present, insert in the right place and not damaged: in case of lack and / or doubt about their integrity, provide for their replenishment and /or replacement.For the opening and /or closing of SILENTE use only the key for manholes code 2881/00 or a similar tool. The use of a pick is out.

Posa del chiusino (vale anche per la caditoia) • Pozzetto e chiusino devono avere la stessa dimensione interna, chiamata luce: nel dubbio scegliere il chiusino con la luce superiore per evitare che lavori a sbalzo (assicurarsi però che le nervature inferiori del coperchio non tocchino il pozzetto, eventualmente realizzare uno scasso nella zona corrispondente del

pozzetto per evitare il contatto)• Stendere uno strato sulla testa del pozzetto di 4/5 centimetri di malta cementizia tradizionale oppure ad indurimento rapido: non è ammesso poggiare il

telaio direttamente sulla testa del pozzetto• Schiacciare il telaio sul letto di posa fino ad ottenerne la messa in quota rispetto al piano stradale circostante, coprire le alette esterne del telaio con uno spessore minimo di 1 cm dello stesso materiale utilizzato per il letto di posa per un fissaggio • Pulire accuratamente le sedi interne del telaio in modo da evitare problemi al momento dell’inserimento successivo del coperchio• Completare il riempimento laterale del telaio avendo l’accortezza di arrivare fino al filo superiore del telaio: evitare il contatto diretto fra i dispositivi di compattazione ed il chiusino/caditoia per evitare possibili danni al telaio, al coperchio/griglia • Assicurarsi che al termine dell’operazione il coperchio del chiusino risulti allo stesso livello del bordo del telaio: se dovesse sporgere aprire e ricominciare la

procedura dall’inizio

Laying of the manholes (applicable also to gratings)• Sump and manhole must have the same inside dimension, called clear opening: in case of doubts, it had better to choose a manhole with bigger clear opening

to avoid to emboss (ensure the lower cover’s ribs do not touch the sump, in case make a breaking into the corresponding area of the sump to prevent the contact).

• Apply a coating of 4/5 cm of mortar or quick drying cement on the head of the sump: it is not admit to lay the frame direct on the sump’s head.• Press the frame on the base up to get the lifting compared with the surrounding pavement , cover the external tabs of the frame with a minimum depth of 1 cm applying the same material used for the fixing of the base.• Clean carefully the inside base of the frame to avoid problems during following insert of the cover• Finish the side filling of the frame ensuring to arrive at the upper edge of the frame: keep away from the direct contact between the compaction’s equipment and the manhole /grating to avoid damages to the frame, the cover/grate.• Ensure that at the end of the laying the cover is at the same level of the frame’s edge: if it bends out, open and start the process again from the beginning.

Griglia di protezione per alberi in ghisa di forma circolare o quadrata, verniciata ad immersione di colore nero, costituita da 4-8 settori assemblabili muniti di feritoie disposte a raggera. I vari elementi componenti la griglia sono unibili fra loro per mezzo di cavallotti filettati in ferro zincato, da inserire in apposite sedi e fissare tramite dadi a piastrine di supporto in ghisa (kit fornibile a richiesta – cod. 6980/00). Il disegno della griglia è stato concepito per adattarsi possibilmente ai più diversi stili, garantendo comunque una superficie d’assorbimento e di aerazione sufficiente per lo sviluppo degli alberi.

Cast iron tree protection square or round grating, dip-painted in black and composed by 4-8 elements that can be put together by means of threaded U-bolts in galvanized iron. They have to be inserted in apposite seats and fastened to support plates in cast iron by means of nuts (set available upon request – code 6980/00). The different grating designed have been developed to suitable to any style. They guarantee, in any case, an absorption and aeration surface, large enough for tree growth.
