Nella cantieristica navale, evitare i processi di corrosione è qualcosa di molto serio. Prodotti e sistemi presenti a bordo hanno a che fare ogni giorno con condizioni di lavoro estreme.

Con i sistemi di tubazioni in PPR, la corrosione non è più un problema. Essi garantiscono la lunga durata dei vostri sistemi, offrendo risparmi note-voli sui costi di impianto e di gestione.

I raccordi filettati ATP sono rivestiti all’interno con uno strato in polipropilene in modo da evitare il contatto dell’acqua con le parti metalliche.

L’ottone utilizzato nei nostri raccordi è DZR (an-tidezincificazione) certificato: approvato e consi-gliato per l’uso in ambiente marino. DZR è un tipo di ottone più resistente alla corrosione che evita il fenomeno elettrolitico. Le sue qualità struttu-rali lo rendono idoneo per l’utilizzo nell’industria navale, essendo resistente ai cloruri e all’anidride carbonica.

In the ship building industry, preventing corro-sion processes is something very serious. Prod-ucts and systems aboard have to deal everyday with extreme working conditions.

With PPR piping systems, corrosion is no longer an issue. They guarantee the long service life of your systems, offering outstanding cost efficiency.

Our threated fittings are coated with a special film inside in order to prevent water contact with metal parts.

The brass used in our fittings is a certified DZR (stainless steel): it is approved and recommend-ed for use in the marine environment. DZR is a type of brass that is more resistant to corrosion and avoids the electrolysis phenomena. Its struc-tural qualities make it suitable for use in the shipbuilding industry, being resistant to chlo-rides and carbon dioxide.

RIDUZIONE DEI COSTI. Materie prime e costi di produzione sono contenuti perché necessitano di temperature più basse rispetto alla lavorazione dei metalli. Inoltre i tempi di carenaggio in bacino sono notevolmente ridotti considerata la rapidità dei processi di preparazione dei tubi in PPR con il sistema a saldare; questi possono essere anche assemblati prima dell’installazione a bordo.

CORROSIONE. Le cause tipiche dei processi cor-rosivi sono le correnti galvaniche e le correnti va-ganti, determinate dalla dispersione di corrente dovuta a impianti a corrente continua che utiliz-zano il terreno per la messa a terra. Nelle tuba-zioni in acciaio è un problema molto frequente, che può portare al rapido deterioramento e alla foratura della condotta. Le tubazioni in PPR sono totalmente esenti da questi rischi, essendo resi-stenti alla ruggine, all’aggressione da parte degli agenti chimici e in particolare, pensando all’am-biente marino, alla salsedine, scongiurando l’ef-fetto deleterio dell’ossidazione. Questo non è un dettaglio trascurabile se si pensa che, a causa di tali fenomeni, le tubazioni in acciaio vengono mediamente sostituite ogni tre anni. Neanche la diffusione di nuove tecnologie, come il rivesti-mento con film protettivi, zincature, verniciature, né lo stesso acciaio inossidabile hanno potuto sopperire a detta problematica.

DIMINUZIONE DI PERDITE ENERGETICHE. I tubi in plastica presentano delle superfici interne piut-tosto lisce, tali da offrire un minore attrito al pas-saggio del fluido, contribuendo a diminuirne le perdite energetiche nel trasporto.

LEGGEREZZA. Questo fattore riveste un ruo-lo di estrema importanza a livello generale (si pensi solo ai costi di trasporto inferiori), ma in modo specifico in campo navale. Le tubazioni in PPR sono cinque volte più leggere di quelle metalliche!

COST REDUCTION. Raw materials and lower production costs because they need lower temperatures than metalworking. Moreover, the dry dock time is reduced thanks to the rapid PPR tubes production processes through the welding system. These can also be assem-bled before installation on board.

CORROSION. The typical causes of the corro-sive processes are the galvanic and stray cur-rents. They are determined by the leakage cur-rent due to direct current installations that use the ground for earthing. In steel pipes this is a common problem that can lead to a rapid de-terioration and conduit drilling. PPR pipes are entirely free from these risks, being resistant to rust, attacks by chemical agents and, espe-cially referring to the marine environment, to saltiness avoiding the deleterious effect of ox-idation. This is not a negligible detail because steel pipes shall be replaced every three years on average due to such phenomena. Neither the diffusion of new technologies (such as a coating with protective films, zincings, paint-ings) nor the stainless steel itself could solve this problem.

DECREASE OF ENERGY LOSSES. The plastic pipes have rather smooth internal surfaces. This creates a lower friction as fluid passes through it, contributing to decrease the ener-gy losses during transport.

LIGHTNESS. This factor plays an extremely important role at a general level (for example lower transportation costs), but especially in maritime and offshore buildings. PPR pipes are five times lighter than the metal ones!
