dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato tanti anni fa: Vicolo dei Maroniti, dove al n. 27 -

Sorpresa! – troverete ancora uno dei grandi artigiani del cuoio romani. Aldo Filosini, cortesis-

simo proprietario del negozio/laboratorio Leather Craftsman, insieme alla moglie Natalina, è

lì dal 1970. Artigiano formatosi nella vecchia “Scuola del cuoio” nel 1960 - dove ha inizia-

to il suo tirocinio come apprendista alla tenera età di 13 anni – nella vita poi non avrebbe,

per nostra fortuna, potuto fare niente di diverso se non lavorare nella maniera più spettaco-

lare e professionale possibile la pelle e il cuoio per realizzare un’infinita quantità di acces-

sori per uomo e donna, degni della migliore tradizione conciaria italiana.

La lavorazione dei suoi pezzi, assolutamente conciati a vegetale e senza

prodotti chimici – ha tenuto a precisare durante la nostra visita – consiste

poi nel realizzare oggetti a nostro parere, accessoriati, realizzati e rifiniti

alla perfezione. Elegantissime borse da donna dal raffinato design, di tutte

le fatture, grandezze e pellami, pregiate cartelle, deliziosi beauty, valigette

24h, porta agende, valigie e borsoni per tutte le occasioni, una miriade di

Rome, Aldo Filosini owner with his wife Natalina of the oldest leather shop and factory in

Rome called “The Leather Craftsman”.

The factory (located in Vicolo dei Maroniti) moved in the area during the 70’s

when Aldo, who starts his career when he was only thirteen years old, had finished

his apprenticeship to “Vecchia Scuola del Cuoio” in the 60’s.

We believe, luckily for us, that he cannot do anything else but going on with his

work with the leather as he also said, his work is also his passion.

Bags, belts, wallets and other accessories both for men and women are made in a

variety of quality leathers and colours and some of them, as Aldo told us during

our visit, without any chemical products applied and only vegetable tanning too.

He is pleased to realize leather pieces with great perfection and finishing touches so

to get the customers satisfied. You can find beautiful fashionable woman bags, brief-

cases, satchels, suitcases, wallets, charge purses, writing desk sets, keychains, key

cases, leather boxes, card folders, spectacle cases, penholders and anything you can

image made of real good leather.

Entering in the factory your senses are stirred up with the memory of the smell of

the old leather and you can move freely over the thousand bags, wallets and belts

well organised on shelves and you are scure that plastic is forbidden in the shop.

LLa collaborazione con questo Artista dalla espressività multiforme nasce nel 1980.

Da allora il compito della Galleria d’Arte III Millennio è stato non solo quello di divulgare il nome

unica del mondo umanista, stiamo vivendo una lenta ma inesorabile riscoperta dei valori dell'a-

bilità manuale e della contemplazione.

Da diversi anni ormai i managers hanno iniziato a dotare la comunicazione aziendale e il marke-

ting, di numerosi riferimenti all’arte.

Già nel passato, gli uomini facoltosi di potere, mezzi e cultura, avevano ben compreso che gli

artisti potevano celebrare le loro imprese ed elevare il loro ricordo lasciando alla posterità pre-

La Chiesa Cattolica fu il più illustre esempio, dell’Era Moderna, di Istituzione attenta e capace di

L’Italia è universalmente considerata la patria dell’arte, un unico grande museo traboccante di teso-

ri inestimabili.Nei prossimi mesi le città dove sono presenti i Sina Hotels - Roma, Milano, Venezia,

Firenze, Parma, Torino - apriranno le porte a retrospettive imperdibili di importanti artisti.

Roma sarà la sede della prima esposizione mai realizzata in Italia dedicata a Vermeer, massimo

esponente della pittura olandese del XVII secolo. La rassegna sarà uno dei più importanti eventi

culturali dell’anno e si terrà presso Le Scuderie del Quirinale fino al 13 gennaio. L’esposizione è

facilmente raggiungibile anche a piedi dall’Hotel Bernini Bristol che sorge a Piazza Barberini nel

cuore di Roma. A Milano l’antologica su Picasso, aperta fino al 6 gennaio, presenta opere che riper-

corrono l’evoluzione del linguaggio artistico di questo indiscusso maestro del XX secolo. Un

appuntamento da non perdere per gli ospiti che soggiornano al The Gray oppure

all’Hotel De la Ville, le due strutture milanesi di Sina Hotels che si trovano a pochi metri

dal Palazzo Reale, sede della mostra. Fino al 4 novembre Firenze ospiterà una mostra

che è un Grand Tour della Toscana attraverso le opere di Giovanni Fattori, caposcuola

dei Macchiaoli, ed ancora di Signorini, Abbati, Cecconi... In tutto oltre 100 dipinti: un’oc-

casione da non mancare per chi soggiorna al Grand Hotel Villa Medici lussuoso alber-

go con delizioso giardino con piscina nel cuore del capoluogo toscano. E sarà Venezia

la Serenissima, dove sorgono due gioielli SINA, il Centurion Palace e il Palazzo Sant’An-

gelo, a ospitare al Museo Correr fino al 6 gennaio una mostra dedicata a un veneziano

illustre: Francesco Guardi, con i suoi quadri evocativi che propongono immagini di città

evanescenti e irreali ispirati soprattutto alla sua Venezia. A Parma i riflettori della Fon-

dazione Magnani Rocca sono accesi sulla mostra dedicata al pittore britannico Graham

Sutherland con opere provenienti da collezioni private e in parte mai esposte. Per l’oc-

casione il Palace Maria Luigia propone uno speciale pacchetto che comprende oltre al pernotta-

Venice, Florence, Parma and Turin - will open their doors to major exhibitions featuring some

of the world’s greatest artists.

Rome will host the first ever exhibition in Italy of Vermeer, the great 17th-century Dutch painter.

One of the most important exhibitions of the year, it will run through 13th January in the Scuderie

del Quirinale, a venue easy to reach at walking distance, from the Hotel Bernini Bristol right in

the city centre. The Picasso exhibition in Milan, at Palazzo Reale, open up to

6th January, chronicles the evolution of the artistic language of this great 20th-

century master, and can be enjoyed by guests staying at The Gray or the Hotel

De la Ville, the two SINA properties very close to the exhibition venue.

Florence will host an exhibition through 4th November putting Tuscany in the

picture with over 100 works by the Macchiaoli leader Giovanni Fattori and his

fellow artists Signorini, Abbati, Cecconi... An exhibition not to be missed by

anyone staying at the Grand Hotel Villa Medici, a luxury hotel with a charming

garden and pool in the heart of Tuscany’s great art city. Venice is home to two

stunning SINA properties the Centurion Palace and the Palazzo Sant’Angelo and the city’s Correr

Museum will feature, through 6th January, the works of an illustrious Venetian: Francesco Guardi

whose evocative paintings of evanescent and dreamlike cities are inspired by his own splendid

lagoon city. In Parma the lights in the Magnani Rocca Foundation are on the British artist Graham

Sutherland with works from private collections, some on exhibition for the first time. For this must-

see event the Palace Maria Luigia has a special package with an overnight stay and entrance ti-

ckets to the exhibition. And for guests of the Relais Villa Matilde, just outside Turin, the first capi-

tal of Italy is currently delighting in the dazzling works of the famous goldsmith Carl Fabergé,

jeweller to the last Tsar, on view in the Venaria Reale very easily to reach from the hotel.

Collezioni e assieme ai Maestri che oggi lavorano con lui, ha saputo offrire sempre un prodotto

stampo alcuno e la continua ricerca di novità. Questa grande passione e talento spin-

He specializes in creating artistic items, actually as Unique Works, accompanied by a

is the well-made work”, Massimiliano continues to invent new Collections and together with the

Maestri (Masters) who today work with him offer always a unique product. His strenght is the

free hand work, without any support of mold and thanks to a continuous search for creative

novelty. This great passion and talent takes him to re-opening his grandfather's Factory: today he

exposes more than 2.000 mq of pure Art in Murano and through different Galleries in the world.
