Ogni paesaggio Ital iano è frutto di una lunga storia. Questa caratteristica,unica, lo rende a volte diffici le da leggere ed apprezzare. Ad un primosguardo la varietà può essere travolgente. Per un turista i l paesaggio sipresenta come un rompicapo.

Una breve passeggiata. Del le storie. Come entrare in una macchina deltempo. Geografia, storia e antropologia al la portati di tutti . Divertirsiscoprendo i l fascino del la vita di un luogo. Le letture si svolgono a Tirano (SO), Valtel l ina, a due passi da St. Moritz, dalgruppo del Bernina, da Bormio e Livigno. Tirano è un osservatorio del lamodernità alpina da cui tracce medioeval i emergono sommesse.

La lettura partecipata del paesaggio è una azione col lettiva di indagine sulterritorio per comprenderne la sua geografia fisica ed umana. Si basasoprattutto su osservazioni e considerazioni fatte al momento, in gruppo.Ogni partecipante contribuisce attivamente. Non viene seguito un ordinespecifico, le osservazioni si accumulano durante i l tragitto.

Six lectures on the landscape of The Ital ian Central Alps

Into the middle of the Alps

Any Ital ian landscape has its own share in a long history. That makes itslandscape somehow difficult to read and appreciate. At a first sight thevariety can be overwhelming. For the visiting tourist the landscape presentsitself as a mind boggl ing puzzle.

Each lecture offers first-hand-insight into a significant part of the Ital ianalpine landscape. A short walk, some stories, gathering detai ls and sharingfeel ings; almost l ike passing through a time-machine. Geography, historyand anthropology at an amateur level . Col lecting pictures, annotations andmemories to share with your friends.

The lectures wi l l be held in Tirano, Valtel l ina, Sondrio province, I taly. Thetown is surrounded by the Rhaetian and Orobiche Alps not far from St.Moritz, the Bernina mountain group and the ski resorts: Bormio and Livigno.Tirano is a lookout of modernity in the Alps. Subdued traces from the middleages remind us of its heritage.

Into the middle of the Alps

A participative lecture is one where you experience first hand the place,sharing observations and confronting with the group. Your perceptions andexperiences of the visited places wi l l bring an authentic contribution to theoutcome. There's no precise order, nor is it a traditional guided tour. Alongthe road some basic geography and history notions wi l l be briefly introduced.

The lectures wi l l be held by Mauro Giudici landscapist and photographer, under thepatronage of the "Assessorato al la Cultura e Turismo del Comune di Tirano".

Booking is required. Each lecture will last at least one hour. At the end you will befree to continue by yourselves or get back to the station. We meet in "Piazza dellestazioni" in front of the tourist office.
