Dopo gli ottimi successi delle prime barche varate tra il 2013 ed il 2015, il Mylius 60’ è stato completamente riprogettato, riprendendo i nuovi canoni progettuali messi a punto con il nuovo Mylius 65’.

Rispetto al vecchio modello, il nuovo 60’ è sia più lungo (12 cm “fuori tutto” e 80 cm. “al galleggiamento”) che più largo (38 cm al baglio massimo e 86 cm sullo specchio di poppa), con un importante incremento del volume interno, pari a circa il 9%. Il nuovo 60’ presenta anche un miglior rapporto tra superficie velica e dislocamento ed una maggiore lunghezza al galleggiamento in rapporto alla lunghezza f.t., promettendo migliore stabilità di forma, migliori performance nelle andature portanti e maggiore stabilità di rotta alle alte velocità.

Ciò nonostante, grazie alla costruzione interamente in carbonio, il Mylius 60’ ha un dislocamento di solo (circa) 17 tonnellate, notevolmente inferiore a quello di tutte le barche della sua categoria, e rappresenta quindi un perfetto esempio di fast cruiser-racer Mylius: una vera barca da crociera, con volumi e soluzioni per lunghe navigazioni in comfort e sicurezza, facile da condurre, ma anche veloce e pronta a regatare.

Del nuovo 60’ sono già state vendute due barche, che saranno varate nella primavera/estate del 2018, mentre del vecchio modello sono state costruite 4 barche tra il 2013 ed il 2015.

After the excellent success of the first boats launched between 2013 and 2015, the Mylius 60' has been completely redesigned, based on

the new design standards developed with the new Mylius 65'.

Compared to the old model, the new 60' is both longer (12 cm overall and 80 cm at waterline) and wider (38 cm at max beam and 86 cm at transom beam), with a significant increase of the internal volume, of approximately 9%. The new 60' also has a better sail area/displacement ratio and a greater length on the waterline in relation to the overall length, promising stronger shape stability, better performance downwind and greater directional stability at high

speeds.

Nevertheless, thanks to the full carbon construction, the Mylius 60' has a displacement of only (approx.) 17 tons, considerably lower than all boats of her category, and thus represents a perfect example of a Mylius fast cruiser-racer: a real cruising yacht, with volumes and solutions for long, comfortable and safe cruises, easy to sail, but also

ready to race hard.

Two new Mylius 60’ have already been sold and will be launched in spring/summer 2018, while 4 yachts of the old model have been built

between 2013 and 2015.

Progettata per un esperto armatore francese, per un uso sia in crociera che in regata, il primo nuovo 60’ è già in costruzione per essere varato nella primavera 2018.

Armata con randa square top e doppio paterazzo, la barca è caratterizzata dalle tuga con grandi superfici vetrate, dal grande pozzetto per gli ospiti e dalla zona manovre più a poppavia, con i 7 winch racing.

Gli interni, in teak, prevedono la cabina armatoriale con letti separati a murata e bagno a proavia, separata con una porta scorrevole dalla dinette con divani contrapposti, cucina “a C” a sinistra e carteggio e cabina equipaggio a dritta. A poppavia ci sono due cabine ospiti con bagno.

Designed for an expert French sailor, to be used both for cruising and racing, the first new 60' is currently under construction to be launched

in the spring of 2018.

Rigged with double backstay and square top main, the yacht is characterized by the deckhouse’s large glass surfaces, the large cockpit for guests and the maneuvers area aft, with 7 racing winches.

The interiors, in teak, feature the owner cabin with separate beds and en-suite forward, separated by a sliding door from the dinette with opposing sofas, "C" shaped galley on port side and navigation station and crew cabin on starboard side. Aft there are two guest cabins with

en-suite.

Progettata per un armatore italiano, con alle spalle anche delle traversate atlantiche, il secondo nuovo Mylius 60’ è più orientato alla crociera ed all’Easy Sailing della barca #01. Ad esempio, la coperta prevede una fiocco autovirante e randa avvolgibile nel boma.

Gli interni, in rovere, presentano un layout classico con tre cabine, tutti con servizi privati: una armatoriale con letto matrimoniale centrale a prua e due cabine ospiti simmetriche a poppa.

In dinette, a poppa dei grandi divani ad “L”, trovano posto la cucina a dritta ed una grande zona carteggio a dritta.

Designed for an italian owner, with transatlantic experience, the second new Mylius 60’ is more skewed to cruising and easy sailing than yacht #01. For example, the sail plan features a self-tailing jib

and a furling boom.

The interiors, in oak, have a classical layout with three double cabins, all with en-suite: the owner’s cabin with central double bed and two

symmetrical guest’s cabins aft.

In the dinette, beyond the two large “L” shaped sofas, there are the galley on port side and a large navigation station on starboard side.
