1.1 Descrizione generale dell’apparecchio

EuroKey Plus è un sistema avanzato di pagamento cash-less a trasponder utilizzabile in qualsiasi applicazione (dis-tributori automatici, impianti di lavaggio, tutte le tipologiedi apparecchi che abbiano integrato un sistema di paga-mento automatico) e permette di eseguire transazionisenza denaro.

E' disponibile di tre differenti versioni:- Executive, per apparecchi che utilizzano tale protocollo- MDB, per apparecchi che utilizzano tale protocollo- Parallelo, per tutte le altre applicazioni.

E' di facilissima installazione su qualsiasi apparato. E' pos-sibile connettervi direttamente, senza l'ausilio di ulterioriinterfacce, una gettoniera elettronica RM5 ed un lettore dibanconote per ricaricare le chiavi.

La gestione di EuroKey Plus è facilitata da un rapido eveloce sistema di rilevazione contabile.

2 AVVERTENZE

Leggere attentamente questo manualeprima dell’installazione.

- La conoscenza delle informazioni e delle prescrizionicontenute nel presente manuale è essenziale per uncorretto uso del prodotto.

- Verificare al momento del ricevimento che la confe-zione ed il prodotto stesso non abbiano subito dannidurante il trasporto.

– Questo prodotto è atto al funzionamento con tempe-rature di esercizio comprese tra 0 e 55° C.

– Porre attenzione alle connessioni elettriche.

3 NOTE GENERALI

3.1 Controlli al ricevimento della spedizione

All’atto del ricevimento del prodotto occorre controllareche lo stesso non abbia subito danni durante il trasporto. Se si dovessero notare danni di qualsiasi natura si facciaimmediatamente reclamo al trasportatore. Alla fine del trasporto l’imballo deve risultare integro,vale a dire non deve:– Presentare ammaccature, segni di urti, deformazioni

o rotture dell’involucro contenitore.– Presentare zone bagnate o segni che possano portare

a supporre che l’involucro sia stato esposto alla piog-gia, al gelo o al calore.

– Presentare segni di manomissione.

Verificare che il contenuto della confezione corrispondaall’ordine.

3.2 Tipologie di imballoIl sistema di pagamento EuroKey Plus può essere distri-buito in confezione singola o multipla. La confezionesingola prevede uno starter kit completo, che si differen-zia nel contenuto a seconda della versione del sistemascelto:

5.1 Modalità di installazioneIl sistema è estremamente versatile per la facilità d'in-stallazione che può essere effettuata frontalmente o dalretroquadro dell'apparecchio.

Nelle figure poste a seguito sono rappresentati i fori daeffettuare sull'apparecchio in base alla modalità d'instal-lazione scelta.

6 FUNZIONAMENTO E PROGRAMMAZIONE

6.1 FUNZIONI GENERALI DEL SISTEMA A CHIAVE

Introducendo una chiave, la prima operazione che vieneeseguita dal sistema EuroKey Plus è quella di verificareche la stessa sia codificata correttamente, questo è visua-lizzato tramite il led frontale che mostra la sequenzaverde-rosso-verde se all'interno di essa vi sono gli stessicodici del sistema. La sequenza citata indica che la chia-ve è stata riconosciuta come valida; mentre rimane rossonel caso in cui i codici fossero differenti, ovvero chiavenon riconosciuta (codici differenti).

Se una Chiave Utente risulta priva di codici il sistemaprovvederà a "battezzarla", ovvero scriverà in essa icodici si sicurezza del blocchetto stesso.

Quando una chiave risulta valida si possono effettuare leseguenti operazioni:

- Visualizzare il credito contenuto nella chiave. Perfare ciò è sufficiente introdurla nell'EuroKey Plus edil display della macchina mostrerà il credito contenu-to in Chiave.

- Caricare una Chiave. La carica di una Chiave è pos-sibile nei seguenti modi:

-Mediante l'introduzione di contante (monete e/o ban-conote) nei validatori installati.-Mediante Chiave di Ricarica seguendo la procedurarelativa (rif. Chiave di Ricarica).-Recuperando l'eventuale credito residuo a seguito diuna vendita per contante (fatta eccezione per laVendita Singola).

- Usufruire del credito per l'acquisto di beni o servi-zi. Qualora il credito contenuto in chiave sia suffi-ciente, la macchina abiliterà la selezione del/i pro-dotto/i ed, a seguito della scelta effettuata dall'utente,la macchina lo erogherà. L'importo relativo verràdecrementato dal credito della chiave.

6.1.1 Codici di sicurezza EuroKey Plus dispone di 3 codici di sicurezza atti agarantire che solamente le chiavi con identici codicivengano riconosciute e servite.

Codice GestoreIn questo campo andrà inserito un numero compreso tra1 e 65535 che identificheremo come Gestore. Valore di fabbrica = 0

Codice LocazioneIn questo campo andrà inserito un numero compreso tra0 e 65535 che identificheremo come Locazione. Valore di fabbrica = 0

Codice MacchinaIn questo campo andrà inserito un numero compreso tra0 e 255 che identificheremo come Macchina. Valore di fabbrica = 0

6.1.2 ChiaviIl sistema EuroKey Plus utilizza chiavi elettroniche ditipo contact-less. Esse vengono fornite in uno stato chedefiniremo "Inizializzato", tale operazione, effettuata infabbrica ha lo scopo di rendere le stesse univoche ed uti-lizzabili solamente sui sistemi Comestero. Ciascuna chiave è caratterizzata da - un "Privilegio" che ne determina la tipologia - 3 codici di sicurezza (Gestore, Locazione, Macchina)

precedentemente descritti.EuroKey Plus è in grado di gestire le seguenti tipologiedi chiavi:

- Chiave Utente.E' la chiave generica e destinata all'utenza finale.Mediante essa è possibile effettuare acquisti di beni oservizi senza denaro. Essa è inoltre ricaricabile concontante oppure con Chiave di Ricarica. Alla primaintroduzione di una Chiave Utente in un sistemaEuroKey Plus essa acquisisce automaticamente i 3codici di sicurezza del sistema stesso. La ChiaveUtente è utilizzabile in tutte le versioni di EuroKeyPlus (Executive, MDB, Parallelo Monoprezzo,Parallelo Multiprezzo).

- Chiave di Sconto.E' una chiave destinata sempre all'utenza finale macon un privilegio di sconto differente e programmabi-le sul sistema. Anche la Chiave di Sconto è ricarica-bile.

Esempio:Prezzo Contante 1€Prezzo Chiave 0,90€Chiave di Sconto 20% (riferito al prezzo in contanti)

Una vendita con Chiave di Sconto sarà quindi effettuata a0,80€.

ISe si utilizza una Chiave di sconto durante il periododi ulteriore riduzione in Fascia Oraria, quest'ultimosconto viene comunque applicato.Supponiamo quindi di avere uno sconto di FasciaOraria pari a 0,05€, significa che, nell'esempio sopradescritto, la vendita sarà effettuata a 0,75€.Il "Privilegio" Chiave di sconto è impostabile dalGestore stesso. Differentemente dalla Chiave Utente, la Chiave diSconto non acquisisce automaticamente i codici disicurezza che andranno impostati a cura del Gestore.Le eventuali vendite effettuate con la Chiave diSconto sono registrate in un apposito registro in con-tabilità.La Chiave di Sconto non è applicabile alla versioneMDB.

- Chiave Gratuita.Questa particolare chiave permette di effettuareacquisti in modo gratuito. In realtà essa è precaricataad un valore stabilito dal gestore. Esaurito tale credito la Chiave deve essere ripristina-ta dal gestore stesso. Non è possibile ricaricarla con contante né conChiave di Ricarica. Il "Privilegio" Chiave Gratuita èimpostabile dal Gestore stesso. Anch'essa non acqui-sisce automaticamente i codici di sicurezza chedovranno essere impostati a cura del Gestore.Le eventuali vendite effettuate con la Chiave gratuitasono registrate in un apposito registro in contabilità.La Chiave Gratuita non è applicabile alla versioneMDB.

- Chiave di Manutenzione.Questa chiave è destinata all'utilizzo esclusivo delGestore/Manutentore. Mediante essa è possibile effet-tuare operazioni di controllo di vendita e caricamentosenza alterare la contabilità del sistema. Le eventuali vendite effettuate con la Chiave diManutenzione sono registrate in un apposito registroin contabilità. Il "Privilegio" Chiave di Manutenzioneè impostabile dal Gestore stesso. Anch'essa nonacquisisce automaticamente i codici di sicurezza chedovranno essere impostati a cura del Gestore. In real-tà per la Chiave di Manutenzione bisogna impostare ilsolo codice Gestore per poterla utilizzare in piùLocazioni e Macchine. La Chiave di Manutenzione è applicabile a tutte leversioni.

- Chiave di Ricarica.Questa chiave è destinata all'utenza finale.Le chiavi di ricarica sono chiavi destinate a quelleinstallazioni in cui il sistema chiave non e' collegatoad alcun accettatore di denaro e la ricarica delle chia-vi utente avviene appunto attraverso il loro uso.

A seguito dell'inserimento della Chiave di Ricaricanel sistema EuroKey Plus apparirà sul display unimporto precedentemente stabilito in fase di program-mazione e definito come "Valore di Ricarica", peresempio 5 €.Tale importo non può essere utilizzato per ottenereservizi o vendite, bensì può essere caricato SOLA-MENTE sulla Chiave Utente.Inserendo più volte la chiave di ricarica nel sistema,sul display appariranno multipli del valore di ricarica,lasciandola introdotta per circa 4 secondi la chiaveriprenderà il credito precedentemente visualizzatosulla macchina.Il "Privilegio" di Chiave di Ricarica, essendo moltoparticolare, è scrivibile solamente in fabbrica ed andràrichiesta come tale. Essa non acquisisce automatica-mente i codici di sicurezza che andranno impostati acura del Gestore.

- Chiave di Configurazione.Le chiavi di configurazione sono chiavi destinate aigestori, per permettere loro una più rapida riconfigu-razione del sistema sul campo senza fare ricorso a PC,palmari o altro. Con la Chiave di Configurazione è possibile modifi-care una o più impostazioni di EuroKey Plus. Nelcaso si debbano modificare molti parametri in unasola sessione di modifica, una sola Chiave non è suf-ficiente e occorrerà disporne di altre. Il programmaper PC denominato KySOne avverte quando unaChiave di Configurazione è piena affinchè le restantimodifiche vengano continuate su altre Chiavi. Per lemodifiche di uso più comune, come il cambiamentodi un prezzo o di poche opzioni, normalmente impli-cano l'utilizzo di una sola Chiave; nell'ipotesi invecedi riconfigurare interamente un sistema EuroKey Plussi necessitano 3 Chiavi, fatta eccezione per un'even-tuale Black List che da sola ne utilizza 2.Il "Privilegio" di Chiave di Configurazione, essendomolto particolare, è scrivibile solamente in fabbrica.Essa non acquisisce automaticamente i codici di sicu-rezza che andranno impostati a cura del Gestore.

Sono disponibili differenti versioni di Chiave diConfigurazione :- Chiave di Configurazione Executive- Chiave di Configurazione MDB- Chiave di Configurazione Parallelo Monoprezzo- Chiave di Configurazione MultiprezzoOgni singola chiave può essere utilizzata sul sistemaEuroKey Plus di versione corrispondente.

6.1.3 Configurazioni delle chiavi

Le chiavi normalmente fornibili sono:- Chiave Utente- Chiave di Ricarica- Chiave di Configurazione

Da una Chiave Utente è possibile generarsi le altre tipo-logie (Manutenzione, Sconto, Gratuita) tramite il menùChiavi del programma per PC denominato KySOne.

Tutte le denominazioni dei parametri e delle opzioni diseguito riportate fanno quindi riferimento a tale pro-gramma.

6.2 VERSIONE EXECUTIVEIl sistema EuroKey Plus in versione Executive vienecosì denominato in quanto implementa tale protocolloseriale di comunicazione con un VMC (VendingMachine Control).In questa versione è possibile:

-Definire un numero di macchina -Gestire 3 Modi funzionamento Executive -Gestire due Modalità di Vendita-Gestire direttamente i validatori-Definire 3 Codici di Sicurezza-Definire 10 prezzi di vendita in contanti e 10 conChiave-Gestire ed abilitare differenti tipologie di Chiave-Gestire due Fasce orarie di sconto-Gestire dei Bonus-Disabilitare fino a 20 Chiavi scrivendone il numerodi serie in Black List-Rilevare Dati contabili mediante apposito Box Audit

6.2.1 Programmazione e Configurazione EuroKey Plus ( Executive )

Di seguito sono descritti tutti parametri e le opzioni diconfigurazione programmabili nel sistema EuroKeyPlus versione Executive atti a definire le modalità difunzionamento secondo le esigenze e necessità di appli-cazione. Tutte le denominazioni dei parametri e delleopzioni di seguito riportate fanno riferimento al pro-gramma per PC denominato KySOne.

Numero SistemaQuesto campo non è editabile e mostra il n° di serie delprodotto che viene scritto in fabbrica.

Numero MacchinaIn questo campo è possibile inserire un numero di 9 cifreutile a codificare ed a identificare una macchina sullaquale è installato il sistema EuroKey Plus. Tale numeroverrà riportato nei rapporti di contabilità. Valore di fabbrica = 0

Valore BaseIl protocollo di comunicazione Executive prevede chel'informazione relativa ai prezzi venga comunicata comefattore moltiplicativo di un Valore Base. Occorre quindiimpostare in questo campo il Valore Base facendo atten-zione che sia uguale a quello impostato sul VMC. A que-sto proposito va ricordato che, secondo il protocollo, ilmassimo prezzo gestibile è:

Prezzo Max = 250 x Valore BaseSi deduce quindi che con un valore Base di 0,01€ il prez-zo massimo gestibile è 2,5€.Valore di fabbrica = 0,01€

Valore Max ChiaveIn questo campo si deve impostare il Valore massimo,espresso in euro, che si desidera caricare su Chiave.EuroKey Plus inibirà automaticamente i validatori alraggiungimento di questo valore. Valore massimo impo-stabile è 65000 considerando il punto decimale. Questo significa che se per esempio la valuta fosse in €,essendo espresso tutto in centesimi , il Valore massimorisulta 650,00.Valore di fabbrica = 15€

Gestione Mancata VenditaIn conseguenza di una Mancata Vendita, per esempio acausa di uno spegnimento della macchina, è possibilescegliere tra:- Resta Credito. Il credito introdotto in contanti o pre-

levato da Chiave e non utilizzato viene riproposto edè quindi possibile effettuare nuovamente una vendita.

- Mancata Vendita. Il credito in questo caso viene inca-merato e contabilizzato in apposito registro denomi-nato Mancata Vendita.

Abilitazione ChiaviIn funzione del tipo di applicazione, e comunque a dis-crezione del Gestore, è possibile abilitare EuroKey Plusaffinché possa lavorare con altre tipologie di Chiavi. LaChiave Utente è invece sempre abilitata, mentre quelladi Sconto è abilitabile dal Menù di gestione dei Prezzi.E' possibile attivare le seguenti tipologie di Chiave:

- Chiave Gratuita - Chiave di Ricarica- Chiave di Manutenzione- Chiave di Configurazione

Per la descrizione di ciascun tipo fare riferimento aiparagrafi relativi.Impostazione di fabbrica = tutte le chiavi sono abilitate

re sulle sue uscite il valore delle monete riconosciutein modi differenti:-Non presente. Selezionare questa opzione se non èpresente alcun validatore di monete-Parallelo. Selezionare questa opzione se il validato-re utilzza lo standard parallelo a 6 uscite.-Binario. Selezionare questa opzione se il validatoreutilizzato comunica nella modalità binaria a 4 bit.-Bin. Confida. Selezionare questa opzione se il vali-datore utilizzato comunica nella modalità binaria a 6bit, dei quali il bit 1 e 6 sono dei controlli, mentre ibits 2, 3, 4, 5 sono il codice .

Impostazione di fabbrica = Uscite parallele

Valore RicaricaNel caso si intenda utilizzare la Chiave di Ricarica (vedidescrizione relativa), occorrerà impostare in questocampo il Valore della singola Ricarica.Valore di fabbrica = 5€

VenditaQuesto campo riguarda solamente la vendita per contanti.In tale caso, il tipo di vendita può essere selezionata tra:- Singola. Il credito inserito viene utilizzato interamen-

te per una singola vendita. L'eventuale residuo (ilsistema non da resto) viene incamerato e contabilizza-to in un registro apposito e denominato Overpay.

- Multipla. Il credito inserito in questo caso viene uti-lizzato per più vendite. L'eventuale residuo resta dis-ponibile.

- A Tempo. Per entrambi i modi è inoltre possibile sta-bilire un tempo entro il quale consumare il credito.Nel caso di vendita Multipla l'eventuale residuo rima-sto viene incamerato allo scadere del tempo, mentreper la vendita singola il residuo è incameratoimmeimmediatamente dopo la vendita.

Opzioni di fabbrica = Vendita multipla

Gestione PrezziEuroKey Plus dispone di tre diverse modalità di gestio-ne dei prezzi:- Executive. In questa modalità EuroKey Plus non

conosce alcun prezzo, è il VMC che comunica alsistema di pagamento il prezzo della vendita selezio-nata.

- Seriale standard. La vendita è controllata da EuroKeyPlus confrontando il prezzo di vendita comunicato dalVMC con quello contenuto nella propria tabella. Iprezzi in questo caso devono essere allineati. Il con-trollo si riferisce ai prezzi in contante.

- Price Holding. Solamente EuroKey Plus in questocaso conosce i prezzi di vendita; il VMC si limita acomunicare il numero della linea di prezzo da attivare.

La scelta della modalità di Gestione Prezzi deve essereeffettuata congruentemente al VMC sul quale va instal-lato il sistema a Chiave. Per le modalità Seriale standard e Price Holding sonodisponibili 10 linee di prezzo per vendita in contante e 10linee di prezzo per vendita con Chiave. Ciascuna linea diprezzo dispone di un proprio registro di contabilità.

Gestione Errore PrezzoIn modalità Seriale standard, un non allineamento delletabelle prezzi tra EuroKey Plus e VMC, causa un Erroredi prezzo che può essere gestito in due modi differenti:- Vendita rifiutata. In caso di errore la vendita viene

negata.- Vendita a prezzo 10. In caso di errore si vende al prez-

zo 10 (normalmente il più alto).

Prezzi Nel menu prezzi è possibile impostare tutta la politica divendita. In particolare è possibile:- Definire 10 prezzi di vendita con contante (per moda-

lità Seriale Standard ed Price Holding)- Definire uno Sconto (di Vendita) con Chiave che può

essere scelto tra Percentuale, Fisso o Manuale. Neiprimi due casi, alla vendita con chiave, verrà applica-to lo sconto a ciascun prezzo nella modalità prescel-ta; nel caso di Manuale, attivo solo per Seriale stan-dard e Price Holding, è possibile differenziare perogni singolo prezzo il relativo sconto.

- Abilitare l'utilizzo di una Chiave di Sconto a cuiapplicare una riduzione Fissa o Percentuale.

- Abilitare e definire due Fasce Orarie di Vendita pri-vilegiate da sconti (Fissi o Percentuali) e definire aquali prezzi applicarle (solo nel caso di SerialeStandard e Price Holding).

ICiascuna Fascia Oraria è quindi caratterizzata da:

- Inizio. Impostare l'ora di inzio del periodo di scon-to-Fine. Impostare l'ora di fine del periodo di sconto-Sconto. Selezionare tra Fisso o Percentuale-Valore. Introdurre il valore di sconto desiderato. Selo Sconto scelto è Fisso il valore sarà espresso in €, sescelto il percentuale il valore sarà espresso in %.-Solo con chiave. E' un' ulteriore opzione che defini-sce se lo sconto di Fascia oraria è applicabile sola-mente alle vendite con Chiave oppure anche con con-tante.

Nota: Le due fasce orarie, eventualmente abilitate, nondevono avere orari sovrapposti.BonusEuroKey Plus è in grado di erogare dei Bonus in formadi credito aggiuntivo.Tale Bonus è caratterizzato daalcune opzioni:

-Valore. E' il credito che viene caricato sulla chiavealle condizioni del Bonus-Frequenza. E' possibile erogare il bonus giornal-mente o mensilmente-Attivazione. L'erogazione del bonus può essereeffettuata senza condizione (sempre) oppure a segui-to di una ricarica-Accumulo. E' possibile stabilire che i Bonus sianosommati anche se non ancora consumati (Accumulo),oppure no. In questo caso al presentarsi delle condi-zioni di bonus viene verificato l'eventuale residuo dibonus e ricolmato di una quantità tale da riportarlo alvalore pieno.-Valore Max. b) Contabilità Specifica : Per Contabilità Specifica siintendono le registrazioni dei contatori per valori deicontanti, distinto per taglio di banconote e monete.Inoltre per il Seriale Standard o Price Holding sonodisponibili anche le registrazioni dei contatori per isingoli prezzi.La contabilità per Valori è accessibile dalla funzionedi Audit nel menù Valori; essa esprime :- Il Contatore di pezzi per ciascun valore di moneta - I relativi Sub totali monete.- Il Contatore di pezzi per ciascun valore di bancono-ta-I relativi Sub totali banconote.

L'azzeramento dei Contatori suddetti è azzerabile sepa-ratamente (Monete, Banconote).La contabilità per Prezzi, per Seriale Standard o PriceHolding, è accessibile dalla funzione di Audit nel menùPrezzi; essa esprime:

-Il numero di vendite per ciascuna linea di prezzosuddivisa per Contante e per Chiave-L'importo delle venite per ciascuna linea di prezzosuddivisa per Contente e per Chiave

Anche la contabilità dei prezzi è azzerabile.

6.3 VERSIONE MDBIntroduzioneIl sistema chiave EuroKey Plus MDB consente di inte-grare un sistema di pagamento chiave all'interno di mac-chine che supportano come protocollo di comunicazionelo standard MDB.

Per la filosofia e la struttura stessa dello standard MDBle funzionalità di sistema chiave differiscono da quellepresenti in un sistema Executive o Parallelo.Infatti, a differenza delle citate versioni , il blocco chia-ve non può gestire altre periferiche in quanto assume laposizione di slave del sistema. In un contesto MDB ilcontrollore della macchina comanda gli altri componen-ti del sistema (validatore, riconoscitore banconote, siste-ma chiave, ecc); ogni componente slave è a conoscenzasolo e soltanto di ciò che gli viene detto dalla macchinae delle proprie operazioni. Il sistema chiave MDB, con-seguentemente, non mantiene le statistiche di Audit perquanto concerne l'introduzione di contante, banconotee/o monete.Altra differenza fondamentale risiede nel fatto che è ilcontrollore del sistema a decidere la politica dei prezzi,e quindi i prezzi e gli altri parametri di vendita devonoessere configurati sulla macchina.

InstallazioneL'installazione del sistema chiave MDB richiede che sirispettino le seguenti fasi, nell'ordine riportato:

1) Verifiche di compatibilità2) Installazione del blocco chiave3) Configurazione del sistema chiave MDB

Di seguito vengono dettagliate e illustrate le diverse fasidi installazione.

Verifiche di compatibilitàIl sistema chiave MDB consente di operare su una qua-lunque macchina MDB, le condizioni preliminari neces-sarie per il corretto funzionamento sono:1) Che il livello (versione) MDB supportato dal master

sia uguale o superiore alla 2 2) Che la macchina fornisca la corretta alimentazione al

sistema EuroKey Plus per mezzo del connettore MDBstandard.

3) Sebbene il protocollo MDB sia uno standard, alcunepeculiarità nell'implementazione possono portare aincompatibilità. Per questo motivo è bene verificarela compatibilità con il master MDB all'interno dellalista di compatibilità. Nel caso il master sia presentesignifica che questo è stato testato con successo. Senon presente nell'elenco contattare l'assistenza tecnicao testare preliminarmente la compatibilità dei disposi-tivi.

IInstallazione del blocco chiaveDopo aver assicurato il fissaggio del blocco chiave sulpannello della macchina, collegare a macchina spenta ilcavo di rimando seguendo le indicazioni dello schema dicablaggio: il connettore del cavo fornito viene collegatoal connettore Executive/MDB posto sul retro del bloccochiave. I due connettori MDB di diverse polarità consentono diinterporre il dispositivo all'interno del bus MDB. Il dispositivo interrompe la catena in qualsivoglia punto,si collega verso il master MDB con il connettoremaschio. Il connettore femmina di rimando permette di collegarei rimanenti dispositivi slave del sistema. Nel caso ilsistema chiave sia l'ultimo elemento della catena taleconnettore rimarrà non connesso.Vedere schemi nel paragrafo 5 .1 ( MONTAGIO DELSISTEMA)La tensione di alimentazione è derivata direttamente dalconnettore MDB, eliminando in questo modo la neces-sità per ulteriori collegamenti.Accendendo la macchina il led verde presente sullaparte anteriore del sistema deve accendersi.

Configurazione del sistema chiave MDBLa configurazione di un sistema MDB è minima, quindii valori di default dovrebbero essere adatti alla maggiorparte dei sistemi. Può tuttavia accadere che, per sceltadell'installatore o per necessità di installazione o manu-tenzione, si debbano configurare alcuni parametri. In talcaso è necessario attrezzarsi con gli adeguati tool (adesempio il programma per PC KySOne) agganciarsi alsistema chiave per mezzo degli appositi cavi di collega-mento e configurare i parametri desiderati.Per una panoramica dei parametri configurabili in unsistema MDB si veda il paragrafo dei Parametri di unsistema MDB.Se, dopo l'esecuzione delle tre fasi di installazione ilsistema dovesse risultare non funzionante od operativoma con problemi, consultare l'appendice A (lista mal-funzionamenti) oppure contattare l'assistenza.

Funzionalità sistema chiave MDB.La funzione principale del sistema chiave è l'utilizzo diuna serie di chiavi di vendita alle quali si affiancano unaserie di chiavi utilizzate per la gestione del sistema. Diseguito vengono presentate le chiavi utilizzabili sulsistema e le loro funzioni.

Chiave UtenteIl sistema chiave MDB gestisce le normali chiavi di ven-dita e le chiavi gratuite. È tuttavia importante notare cheesso non controlla direttamente le politiche di prezzopoiché in una macchina MDB tale funzione è demanda-ta alla macchina.

Per verificare la possibilità di implementare le seguentifunzionalità presenti ad esempio nelle versioniExecutive, consultare il manuale della macchina:- Prezzi di vendita chiave/moneta distinti- Chiavi di sconto- Fasce orarieLa gestione del bonus non può invece essere implemen-tata su sistemi MDB.La chiave gratuita permette l'erogazione gratuita di pro-dotti. Nel sistema MDB essa si presenta come una chia-ve di importo pari al massimo caricabile su chiave.

Chiavi per la gestione Il sistema chiave MDB oltre a gestire le normali ChiaviUtente è in grado di offrire supporto alle fasi di confi-gurazione e manutenzione mediante altri tipi di chiave: Di seguito sono elencati i tipi di chiave che gli utenti

possono utilizzare sui sistemi chiave MDB:- Chiave di Manutenzione: utilizzata dal gestore di

macchina per test e manutenzione. Si veda paragraforelativo della versione Executive per dettagli.

- Chiave di configurazione: utilizzata dal gestore dimacchina per configurare i parametri del sistema.Essa è personalizzata per la versione MDB. I para-metri che si possono configurare sono gli stessi a cuiil programma per PC KySone ha accesso.

Parametri di un sistema MDBDi seguito si distinguono i parametri del sistema in duecategorie:- Parametri di configurazione: che possono essere

impostati attraverso opportuni tools e software e cheinficiano le funzionalità del sistema

- Parametri di funzionamento: parametri che posso-no essere solo letti. Danno informazioni riguardo alfunzionamento del sistema chiave all'interno dellamacchina MDB.

Parametri di configurazioneUn sistema chiave MDB, non implementando politichedi prezzo, richiede un numero minimo di parametri diconfigurazione. Quello che è necessario configurare suun sistema MDB è:- Indirizzo del sistema chiave: una macchina MDB

prevede la presenza di uno o due dispositivi cashless(questo per dare la possibilità di supportare contem-poraneamente chiavi di vendita e bancomat, carte cre-dito, smartcard ecc). Il valore di default dell'indirizzodel sistema chiave è 0x10, nel caso sia presente unaltro dispositivo cashless su questo indirizzo puòessere necessario spostare l'indirizzo a 0x60.

- Vendita singola o multipla: permette di decidere seuna sessione di vendita (inserimento ed estrazionechiave) consente la vendita di più prodotti.

I- Gestione di mancata vendita: consente di reintegra-

re il credito su chiave in seguito ad una mancata ven-dita.

- Moneta utilizzata: imposta la valuta e la lingua.- Valore base: valore base del sistema del quale tutti i

prezzi e le ricariche sono multipli.- Massimo ricaricabile su chiave: massimo valore

che può essere caricato su una chiave.

Parametri di funzionamentoIl sistema chiave, tramite gli strumenti di configurazio-ne quali KysOne e programmer, visualizza una serie diparametri non configurabili, propri del sistema chiave edel controllore. Tali parametri possono essere utili percontrollare il corretto funzionamento del sistema chiaveed, eventualmente, riportare malfunzionamenti.

I parametri non configurabili del sistema MDB sono:- Equipment ID sistema chiave: è un identificavo del

sistema chiave, composto da Codice Costruttore,Modello, Numero di Serie, Release Software.

- Equipment ID sistema controllore(macchina): è unidentificativo del modello di controllore al quale ilsistema chiave è collegato.

- Il livello(versione) MDB utilizzato dal sistema chiave:è una caratteristica del protocollo MDB. Ha valore 2.

- Massimo prezzo di vendita consentito con chiave(viene impostato dal master)

- Minimo prezzo di vendita consentito con chiave(viene impostato dal master)

Massimo livello MDB supportato dal controllore. È unacaratteristica del protocollo MDB. Nel caso in cui risul-ti inferiore a 2 il controllore non è compatibile con ilsistema chiave, ovvero non supporta le funzioni minimenecessarie per un corretto funzionamento di un disposi-tivo Chiave MDB.

6.4 VERSIONE PARALLELA La versione Parallela di EuroKey Plus offre la possibi-lità di utilizzare un sistema a chiave contactless capacedi gestire un solo prezzo di vendita/servizio in quelleapplicazioni in cui la macchina associata non imple-menta un protocollo seriale di comunicazione. Il con-trollo, in questo caso, è affidato a cambiamenti di statodei segnali. Trattasi tipicamente di macchine esclusiva-mente elettromeccaniche, ovvero senza elettronica abordo. Il funzionamento di questa versione può essere configu-rato in tre differenti modi:· Stepper ad un prezzo (10). Con disponibilità di credi-

to viene attivata una linea di abilitazione alla venditao servizio permanente, che viene rilasciata al ricevi-mento un reset.

· Totalizzatore impulsivo (20). Con disponibilità dicredito viene emesso un impulso di credito.

· Timer (30). Con disponibilità di credito viene emes-so un impulso di durata programmabile.

Ciascuna di queste versioni ha inoltre diverse altreopzioni di utilizzo ed attivazione che verranno descrittedi seguito nei relativi paragrafi.

6.4.1 ChiaviEuroKey Plus Parallelo è in grado di gestire le stessetipologie di Chiavi gestite dalla versione Executive.Fare riferimento ai paragrafi relativi per la descrizionedelle varie versioni di Chiavi.

6.4.2 Scheda di Interfaccia Parallela (RM 925)

La scheda RM925 permette di interfacciare il sistema achiave EuroKey Plus su qualunque apparecchiatura ditipo elettromeccanico. La scheda presenta un connettore per la chiave, un con-nettore per il display (RM 924), un fusibile di protezio-ne, ed un circuito OPTO-ISOLATO (Pin 1 e2) per la dis-ponibilità o il reset. L'uscita è costituita da un contatto pulito, Relè(220 V-3A). La scheda è disponibile nelle seguenti versioni a 220Vac (Cod.RM925/2/A ), 24 Vac (Cod. RM925/2/E ), 24Vdc (Cod. RM925/2/I), 12 Vac (Cod. RM925/2/F ). Perle connessioni fare riferimento allo schema sottoriporta-to.

Opzioni specifiche Ciascun Modo è caratterizzato da opzioni specifiche eproprie che ne caratterizzano il funzionamento.

- Stepper ad un Prezzo (10)Nel caso di Vendita Singola è necessario selezionare ilTipo di Reset :

-Esterno. Il segnale di vendita perdura fintanto che ilsistema EuroKey Plus riceve un segnale di Resetdalla macchina.

-Interno a Tempo. In tutte quelle applicazioni in cuila macchina non dispone di una linea di reset è pos-sibile attivare un Reset Interno a tempo definendonela durata d'intervento in ms (millisecondi). Cosìfacendo viene automaticamente definita la duratadell'impulso di vendita.(Valori ammessi =10 ÷ 65.535 mSec.).

Nota: Nel caso di Vendita Multipla il Reset può esseresolo esterno. KiSOne provvede automaticamente a pre-disporlo in modo adeguato.

Valore Ricarica (10,20,30)Nel caso si intenda utilizzare la Chiave di Ricarica (vedidescrizione relativa), occorrerà impostare in questocampo il Valore della singola Ricarica.Valore di fabbrica = 5€

Vendita (10,20,30)Il tipo di vendita può essere selezionata tra:

-Singola (non disponibile per modo Timer 30). Incaso di vendita per contanti l'eventuale residuo,(resto) viene incamerato e contabilizzato in un regi-stro apposito e denominato Overpay. Nel caso di ven-dita con chiave, per poter effettuare un ulteriore ven-dita sarà necessario rimuovere e reintrodurre la chia-ve. -Multipla. Sia nel caso di vendita per contanti checon chiave è possibile effettuare più vendite consecu-tive-A Tempo. Per entrambi i modi è inoltre possibile sta-bilire un tempo entro il quale consumare il credito.Nel caso di vendita Multipla l'eventuale residuo rima-sto viene incamerato allo scadere del tempo, mentreper la vendita singola il residuo è incamerato imme-diatamente dopo la vendita.

Impostazione di fabbrica = Vendita multipla - Livello ResetCongruentemente con quanto fornito dalla macchina inqualità di reset, selezionare il livello di Reset tra :

-Alto : La macchina invia un impulso alto (+V).-Basso: La macchina invia un impulso basso (0V).

- Pulsante di Start-Attivo: Il sistema EuroKey Plus prima di effettuareuna vendita attende che l'utilizzatore prema il tasto di -Disattivo: Introducendo una Chiave Utente con suf-ficiente credito , il sistema eroga direttamente il ser-vizio/vendita.

Abilitazione Chiavi (10,20,30)In funzione del tipo di applicazione, e comunque a dis-crezione del Gestore, è possibile abilitare EuroKey Plusaffinché possa lavorare con altre tipologie di Chiavi. LaChiave Utente è invece sempre abilitata, quella diSconto è abilitabile dal Menù di gestione dei Prezzi. E'possibile attivare le seguenti tipologie di Chiave:- Chiave Gratuita - Chiave di Ricarica- Chiave di Manutenzione- Chiave di ConfigurazionePer la descrizione di ciascun tipo fare riferimento aiparagrafi relativi.Impostazione di fabbrica = tutte le chiavi sono abilitate

IValidatore (10,20,30)Quando al sistema EuroKey Plus viene associato unriconoscitore di monete occorre selezionare le opzionisottostanti per definirne il corretto utilizzo in relazioneappunto al tipo di validatore utilizzato. In particolare sidovranno definire:- Tipo di Uscite. Un Validatore di monete può restitui-

re sulle sue uscite il valore delle monete riconosciutein diversi modi in modi differenti-Non presente. Selezionare questa opzione se non èpresente alcun validatore di monete-Parallelo. Selezionare questa opzione se il validato-re utilzza lo standard parallelo a 6 uscite.-Binario. Selezionare questa opzione se il validatoreutilizzato comunica nella modalità binaria a 4 bit.-Bin. Confida. Selezionare questa opzione se il vali-datore utilizzato comunica nella modalità binaria a 6bit, dei quali il bit 1 e 6 sono dei controlli, mentre ibits 2, 3, 4, 5 sono il codice .

Valori (10,20,30)In questa sezione vanno impostati i singoli valori dimonete che si intende far gestire da EuroKey Plus. Inogni caso i valori da impostare devono risultare con-gruenti con quelli programmati sul validatore di monete.Sul Validatore è possibile impostare fino a 15 monetedifferenti (se il validatore associato lavora in modobinario).Impostazione di fabbrica = Monete da 0,10 a 2 €

Prezzi (10,20,30)Nel menu prezzi è possibile impostare tutta la politica divendita. In particolare è possibile:- Definire il prezzo di vendita con contante sulla linea

del Prezzo 1 Contante- Definire lo Sconto (di Vendita) con Chiave che può

essere scelto tra Percentuale, Fisso o Manuale. - Definire il tetto massimo inseribile in contante su una

qualsiasi altra linea di Prezzo Contante. Se non speci-ficato , il Sistema assume come massimo il valore delprezzo in contante già definito sulla linea 1 e provve-derà ad inibire il validatore di monete una volta rag-giunto o superato il valore presente sulla linea di prez-zo 1. Questa funzione è particolarmente utile per leversioni 20 o 30 laddove si desidera utilizzare creditimultipli.

- Abilitare l'utilizzo di una Chiave di Sconto a cuiapplicare una riduzione Fissa o Percentuale.

I- Abilitare e definire due Fasce Orarie di Vendita privi-

legiate da sconti (Fissi o Percentuali). CiascunaFascia Oraria è quindi caratterizzata da:-Inizio. Impostare l'ora di inizio del periodo di scon-to-Fine. Impostare l'ora di fine del periodo di sconto-Sconto. Selezionare tra Fisso o Percentuale-Valore. Introdurre il valore di sconto desiderato. Selo Sconto scelto è Fisso il valore sarà espresso in €, sescelto il percentuale il valore sarà espresso in %.-Solo con chiave. E' un'ulteriore opzione che defini-sce se lo sconto di Fascia oraria è applicabile sola-mente alla vendita con Chiave oppure anche con con-tante.

Bonus (10,20,30)EuroKey Plus è in grado di erogare dei Bonus in formadi credito aggiuntivo.Tale Bonus è caratterizzato daalcune opzioni:

-Valore. E' il credito che viene caricato sulla chiavealle condizioni del Bonus-Frequenza. E' possibile erogare il bonus giornal-mente o mensilmente.

6.5 STRUMENTI E ACCESSORIA seguito viene riportata la lista di tutti gli strumenti ed accessori disponibili per tutte le versioni del sistema EuroKeyPlus.

-Attivazione. L'erogazione del bonus può essereeffettuata senza condizione (sempre) oppure a segui-to di una ricarica-Accumulo. E' possibile stabilire che i Bonus sianosommati anche se non ancora consumati (Accumulo),oppure no. In questo caso al presentarsi delle condi-zioni di bonus viene verificato l'eventuale residuo dibonus e ricolmato di una quantità tale da riportarlo alvalore pieno.-Valore Max. Nel caso in cui venga selezionato unBonus ad Accumulo è comunque possibile stabilireun Valore Massimo di credito accumulabile.

Black List (10,20,30)E' possibile disattivare fino a 20 Chiavi riportandone iln° di serie negli appositi campi. I nostri prodotti vengono garantiti per un periodo di 12mesi.Fa fede il numero di matricola presente sull'etichetta.

L'acquirente decade dalla garanzia, se inadempiente nelpagamento del prezzo.

La garanzia non si applica nei seguenti casi:- manomissione dell'etichetta riportante il numero di

1.1 General description of the machine

EuroKey Plus is an advanced transponder cashless pay-ment system that can be used in any application (automa-tic distributors, washing plants, any type of equipmenthaving a built-in automatic payment system) and enablesto carry out cashless transactions.

It is available in three different versions:- Executive, for machines using this protocol- MDB, for machines using this protocol- Parallel, for all other applications.

It can be easily installed on any apparatus. It can bedirectly connected, without requiring any additional inter-face, to an RM5 electronic coin validator and an banknotereader to recharge the keys.

EuroKey Plus can be easily managed through a convenientand quick accounting control system.

2 WARNING

3 GENERAL NOTES

3.1 Checks upon receipt of the productUpon receipt of the product make sure that this has notbeen damaged during transport.If any damage of any kind should be noted, immediatelymake a complaint to the hauler.

At the end of transport the packing shall be intact, i.e. itshall show:- No bruise, sign of crash, deformation or breakage ofthe container- No wet areas or signs that may mean that the con-tainer has been exposed to rain, freeze or heat.- No tampering.

Make sure that the content of the container correspondsto the order.

3.2 Types of packingEuroKey Plus payment system can be distributed in asingle or multiple package. The single package includesone complete starter kit which can be different accor-ding to the system version chosen:

6 OPERATION & PROGRAMMING

6.1 GENERAL FUNCTIONS OF THE KEYSYSTEMWhen a key is introduced, the first operation carried outby EuroKey Plus system is to check whether the key iscorrectly coded; this is displayed on the front led whichshows the green-red-green sequence if the same codesof the system are inside it.This sequence shows that thekey has been recognized as valid while it remains red ifthe codes are different, i.e. the key is not recognized(different codes). If a User Key has no code, the system will "baptize" it,i.e. the system will write the safety codes of the block inthe key.When a key is recognized as valid, the following opera-tions can be carried out:

- Displaying the credit contained in the key. To do soit is sufficient to introduce it into EuroKey Plus andthe machine display will show the credit contained inthe Key.

- Charging a key. A key can be charged in the follo-wing ways:-By introducing cash (coins and/or banknotes) in thevalidators installed.- By means of the Recharge Key following therelevant procedure (ref. Recharge Key)-By recovering the remaining credit, if any, after acash sale (except for Single Sale).

- Using the credit to buy goods or services. If the cre-dit contained in the key is sufficient, the machine willenable the selection of the product(s) and after thechoice made by the user, the machine will proceed tothe distribution. The relevant amount will be deduc-ted from the credit of the key.

6.1.1 Safety CodesEuroKey Plus uses 3 safety codes to ensure that onlykeys having the same codes can be recognized and ser-ved.

Managing CodeIn this field a number ranging between 1 and 65535shall be entered and identified as Manager. Factory Value = 0

Location CodeIn this field a number ranging between 1 and 65535shall be entered and identified as Location. Factory Value = 0

Machine CodeIn this field a number ranging between 0 and 255 shallbe entered and identified as Machine. Factory Value = 0

6.1.2 KeysEuroKey Plus system uses contact-less electronic keys.These are provided in a status called "Initialized". Theaim of this operation, carried out in the factory, is tomake these keys univocal and usable on Comesterosystems only.Each key is characterized by:- one "Privilege" determining the type- 3 safety codes (Managing, Location, Machine)

described above.EuroKey Plus can manage the following types of keys:

- User Key. It is the generic key for final users. It is used to buygoods or services without money. It can also berecharged with cash or Recharge Key. When a UserKey is introduced for the first time in a EuroKeyPlus system, it automatically acquires the 3 safetycodes of the system. The User Key can be used in allEuroKey Plus versions (Executive, MDB, ParallelSingle Price, Parallel Multiprice).

- Discount Key. It is destined to final users but with a different disco-unt privilege that can be programmed on the system.Also the Discount Key is rechargeable.

Example:Cash Price 1€Key Price 0,90€Discount Key 20% (referred to cash price)

A sale with Discount Key will therefore be made at0,80€.

If a Discount Key is used during the period of TimeBand additional reduction, this additional discount ishowever applied.If we have a Time Band discount equal to 0,05€, itmeans that in the example above the sale will be made at0,75€.The Discount Key "Privilege" can be set by theManager. Unlike the User Key, the Discount Key doesnot automatically acquire the safety codes which shallbe set by the Manager.Any sale made with the Discount Key shall be entered ina relevant Accounting book.The Discount Key is not applicable to MDB version.

- Free Key. This key allows to do free shopping. In fact it is pre-charged with a value established by the Manager.When this credit finishes, the Key shall be reset by theManager. It cannot be recharged with cash orRecharge Key. The Free Key "Privilege" can be set bythe Manager. Also the Free Key does not automati-cally acquire the safety codes which shall be set bythe Manager.Any sale made with the Free Key shall be entered ina relevant Accounting book.The Free Key is not applicable to MDB version.

- Maintenance Key. This key shall be used by the Manager/MaintenanceOperator only. Its function is to carry out sale check/charging opera-tions without altering the system accounting. Any salemade with the Maintenance Key shall be entered in arelevant Accounting book. The Maintenance Key "Privilege" can be set by theManager. Also the Maintenance Key does not auto-matically acquire the safety codes which shall be setby the Manager. In fact the Maintenance Key requires the setting ofthe Managing Code only to be used in differentLocations and Machines.The Maintenance Key is applicable to all versions.

- Recharge Key. This key shall be used by final users. Recharge keys are keys destined to those installationswhere the key system is connected to no moneyacceptor and the recharge of the user keys takes placethrough such keys.

After introducing the recharge key into EuroKey Plussystem, the display will show an amount previouslydefined during the programming phase, called"Recharge Value", for example 5 €. This amount cannot be directly used to obtain servic-es or sales; but it can ONLY be charged on the UserKey.When the recharge key is introduced into the systemseveral times, the display will show multiples of therecharge value; if the key is introduced for approx.4seconds, it will recover the credit previously displa-yed on the machine.The Recharge Key "Privilege", being very particular,can be factory set only and the key shall be requestedas such. It does not automatically acquire the safetycodes which shall be set by the Manager.

- Configuration Key. Configuration keys are keys destined to managers toallow a faster field reconfiguration of the system withno need for PCs, palmtop computers, etc.One or more EuroKey Plus settings can be modifiedwith the Configuration Key. Should several parame-ters be modified in one modification session, one Keywill not be sufficient and additional keys will berequired. The PC program called KySOne notifies when oneConfiguration Key is full so that the remaining modi-fications can be continued on other Keys. Common modifications, such as changing a price ora few options, usually imply the use of one Key, if aEuroKey Plus system should be entirely reconfigu-red, 3 Keys will be needed, except for the Black Listthat requires 2 keys.The Configuration Key "Privilege", being very par-ticular, can be factory set only.It does not automatically acquire the safety codeswhich shall be set by the Manager.

Failed Sale ManagementFurther to a Failed Sale, for example due to a switchingoff of the machine, it is possible to choose between:- Credit present. The credit introduced cash or taken

- Failed Sale. In this case the credit is collected andaccounted in a relevant book called Failed Sale.

Key EnablingAccording to the type of application and however to thediscretion of the Manager, EuroKey Plus can be enabledso that it can work with other types of Keys. The UserKey is enabled at all times, the Discount Key can be ena-bled from the Price Management menu. The followingtypes of Key can be enabled:

Factory Options = Multiple sale

Price ManagementEuroKey Plus is provided with three different price man-agement modes:- Executive. In this mode EuroKey Plus recognizes no

price, the price of the selected sale is communicatedto the payment system by the VMC.

- Standard serial. The sale is controlled by EuroKeyPlus by comparing the sale price communicated bythe VMC and the price included in the price table. Inthis case the prices shall be aligned. The check isreferred to cash prices.

- Price Holding. In this case only EuroKey Plus knowsthe sale prices, the VMC only communicates the num-ber of the price line to be enabled.

The choice of the Price Management mode shall be car-ried out consistently with the VMC on which the keysystem will be installed.For Standard Serial and Price Holding modes 10 pricelines for cash sales and 10 price lines for key sales areavailable. Every price line has its own accounting book.

Price Error ManagementIn Standard Serial mode, a non-alignment of the pricetables between EuroKey Plus and VMC causes a priceError that can be managed in two different ways:- Refused sale. In case of error the sale is denied.- Sale at price 10. In case of error the sale is made at

price 10 (usually the highest price).

PricesIn the price menu the entire sale policy can be set. Inparticular it is possible to:- Define 10 cash sale prices (for Standard Serial and

Price Holding modes)- Define a Key Discount (on Sale) that can be selected

among Percentage, Fixed or Manual. In the first twocases in the key sale the discount on each price willbe applied in the selected mode; in the case ofManual Discount, applicable to Standard Serial andPrice Holding only, the relevant discount can be dif-ferentiated for every single price.

- Enable the use of a Discount Key to which a Fixed orPercentage reduction will be applied.

- Enable and define two Sale Time Bands privilegedwith discounts (fixed or percentage) and define theprices to which these bands will be applied (forStandard Serial and Price Holding only).

UKEvery Time Band will therefore be characterized by:

-Start. Set the start time of the discount period-End. Set the end time of the discount period-Discount. Select between Fixed or Percentage-Value. Enter the desired discount value. BonusEuroKey Plus can dispense Bonuses as additional credit.The Bonus is characterized by some options:

-Value. It is the credit charged on the key at theBonus conditions-Frequency. The bonus can be dispensed daily ormonthly-Activation. The bonus can be dispensed withoutcondition (always) or further to a recharge-Accumulation. It is possible to establish that theBonuses are summed although not yet consumed(Accumulation) or not. In this case when the bonusconditions take place, the remaining amount of thebonus is verified and a quantity is added to take thebonus back to its full value.-Max.Value. If an Accumulation Bonus is selected, aMax.Value of credit to be accumulated can be howe-ver set.

Factory setting= bonus disabled

Black ListIt is possible to disable up to 20 Keys by entering therelevant serial number in the fields. The Keys entered inthese fields will be permanently disabled, i.e. no sale orrecharge operation will be possible.Factory setting = no key disabled.

6.3 MDB VERSIONIntroductionMDB EuroKey Plus system allows to integrate a keypayment system inside machines supporting MDB stan-dard as communication protocol.

Due to the philosophy and the nature of MDB standard,the key system functionalities differ from those of anExecutive or Parallel system. As a matter of fact, unlikethese versions, the key block cannot manage other peri-pherals as it assumes the position of slave of the system.In an MDB context the machine controller controls theother components of the system (validator, banknotereader, key system, etc.); every slave component knowsonly what is communicated by the machine and its ope-rations. Therefore MDB key system does not keep theAudit statistics concerning the introduction of cash,banknotes and/or coins.Another fundamental difference lies in the fact that it isthe system controller that decides the price policy andtherefore the prices and the other sale parameters mustbe configured on the machine.

InstallationThe installation of MDB key system requires the respectof the following phases in the sequence listed below:

1) Compatibility checks2) Key block installation3) MDB key system configuration

Below the description of the different installation phas-es.

Compatibility checksMDB key system allows to work on any MDB machine,the preliminary conditions necessary for a correct opera-tion are:1) The MDB level (version) supported by the master

must be equal to or higher than 22) The machine must provide the correct power supply

to EuroKey Plus system through the MDB standardconnector.

3) Although the MDB protocol is a standard, someimplementation peculiarities may lead to incompati-bility. For this reason it is advisable to check the com-patibility with MDB master in the compatibility list.If the master is present it means that it has been suc-cessfully tested. If it is not present in the list, call thetechnical service or previously test the compatibilityof the devices.

Key block installationAfter securing the fixing of the key block on the machi-ne panel, with machine off, connect the return cableaccording to the indications of the wiring scheme; thecable connector is connected to the Executive/MDBconnector on the rear of the key block. The two MDBconnectors with different polarities allow to interposethe device inside the MDB bus. The device interrupts thechain in any point and connects to the MDB master withthe male connector. The return female connector allowsto connect the remaining slave devices of the system. Ifthe key system is the last element of the chain, this con-nector will remain unconnected.See schemes in the paragraph 5.1 (Installation)The power supply is directly derived from the MDBconnector, thus eliminating the need for additional con-nections.When the machine is switched on, the green led on thefront part of the system must switch on.

MDB key system configurationThe configuration of an MDB system is minimum, the-refore the default values should be suitable for mostsystems. It can however occur that , due to the choice ofthe installer or due to installation or maintenance requi-rements, some parameters must be configured. In thiscase it is necessary to have the adequate tools (e.g.KySOne PC program), to connect to the key systemthrough the relevant connection cables and to configurethe desired parameters.For an overview of the parameters that can be configu-red in an MDB system, please refer to the Parameter sec-tion of an MDB system.If, after the execution of the three installation phases, thesystem should not work or it works with problems,please refer to appendix A (malfunction list) or call theservice centre.

MDB key system functionalityThe main function of the key system is the use of a setof sale keys together with a set of keys used to managethe system. Below are the keys that can be used on thesystems and their relevant functions.

User KeyAn MDB key system manages the usual sale keys andfree keys. To be noted however that it does not directlycontrol the price policies as in an MDB machine thisfunction is assigned to the machine.

To check the possibility to implement the followingfunctionalities present for example in the Executive ver-sions, please refer to the machine manual:- Separate key/coin sale prices- Discount keys- Time bandsThe bonus management cannot be implemented onMDB systems.The free key enables the free dispensing of the products.In the MDB system this is a key having an amount equalto the max.amount that can be charged onto key.

Management keys In addition to the management of the usual User Keys,an MDB key system can provide support to the configu-ration and maintenance phases by means of other typesof key. Below is the list of the types of key that users canemploy on MDB key systems:- Maintenance key: used by the machine manager for

tests and maintenance. Please refer to the paragraphconcerning Executive version for details.

- Configuration key: used by the machine manager toconfigure the system parameters. It is customized forMDB version. The parameters that can be configuredare the same parameters accessible by KySOne PCprogram.

Parameters of an MDB systemBelow is the distinction of the system parameters intotwo categories:- Configuration parameters: they can be set by

means of appropriate tools and software and affect thesystem functionalities.

- Operating parameters: They can be read only. Theyprovide information concerning the key system ope-ration inside the MDB machine.

Configuration parametersAs there is no implementation of price policies, an MDBkey system requires a minimum number of configura-tion parameters.The elements requiring to be configured on an MDBsystem are:- Key system address: an MDB machine is designed

for the presence of one or two cashless devices (inorder to give the possibility of supporting at the sametime sale keys and cash cards, credit cards, smart-cards,etc.). The default value of the key systemaddress is 0x10, if another cashless device is presenton this address, it may be necessary to move theaddress to 0x60.

- Single or multiple sale: allows to decide whether asale session (key insertion and removal) enables thesale of different products.

UK- Failed sale management: allows to reintegrate the

key credit further to a failed sale.- Coin used: sets the currency and the language.- Basic value: basic value of the system of which all

prices and recharges are multiple.- Max.amount to be charged on key: max.value that

can be charged on one key.

Operating parametersThe key system, by means of the configuration toolssuch as KySOne and programmer, visualizes a set of nonconfigurable parameters, typical of the key system andof the controller. These parameters can be useful to con-trol the correct operation of the key system and, if neces-sary, to report any malfunction.

The non configurable parameters of MDB system are:-key system Equipment ID: it is a key system ID, consi-

sting of Manufacturer Code, Model, Serial Number,Release Software.

- Controller system Equipment ID (machine): it is anID of the controller model to which the key system isconnected.

- The MDB level (version) used by the key system is acharacteristic of MDB protocol. Its value is 2.

- Max.sale price enabled with key (set by the master)- Min.sale price enabled with key (set by the master)Max.MDB level supported by the controller. It is a cha-racteristic of MDB protocol. If lower than 2, the con-troller is not compatible with the key system, i.e. it doesnot support the minimum functions necessary for a cor-rect operation of an MDB Key device.

6.4 PARALLEL VERSIONEuroKey Plus Parallel Version offers the possibility ofusing a contactless key system capable of managingonly one sale/service price in those applications wherethe associated machine implements no communicationserial protocol. In this case the control is given by signal status changes.It is the typical case of exclusively electromechanicalmachines, i.e. equipped with no electronics.The operation of this version can be configured in threedifferent modes:- One price stepper (10). With credit available a line is

activated to enable a permanent sale or service and isreleased when a reset is received.

- Pulse totalizer (20). With credit available a creditpulse is emitted.

- Timer (30). With credit available a pulse having a pro-grammable duration is emitted.

Each of these versions has also other use and activationoptions described hereinafter in the relevant sections.

6.4.1 KeysEuroKey Plus Parallel version can manage the sametypes of Keys managed by the Executive version. Forthe description of the different versions of Keys pleaserefer to the relevant sections.

Sale (10,20,30)The type of sale can be selected as follows:

-Single (not available for Timer 30 mode). In caseof cash sale the remaining amount, if any, (change)will be collected and accounted in a dedicated bookand called Overpay. In case of key sale, in order tomake a further sale, the key shall be removed andreintroduced.-Multiple. Both in case of cash sale and key sale, dif-ferent consecutive sales are allowed.-Time. For both modes it is also possible to fix a timewithin which the credit shall be used. In case ofMultiple sale the remaining amount, if any, is collec-ted when the time elapses, while in case of a singlesale the remaining amount is collected immediatelyafter the sale.

Factory setting = Multiple sale- Reset Level Consistently with the provision of the machine asregards reset quality, select the Reset level between:

-High : The machine sends a high pulse (+V).-Low: The machine sends a low pulse (0V).

- Start button-On: The EuroKey system, before making a sale,will wait for the user to push the Credit Request but-ton.-Off: When a User Key with sufficient credit is intro-duced, the system will directly provide theservice/sale.

Key Enabling (10,20,30)According to the type of application and however to thediscretion of the Manager, Eurokey can be enabled sothat it can work with other types of Keys. The User Keyis enabled at all times, the Discount Key can be enabledfrom the Price Management menu. The following typesof Key can be enabled:- Free Key - Recharge Key- Maintenance Key- Configuration KeyFor the description of every single type, please refer tothe relevant sections.Factory setting = all keys are enabled

UKValidator (10,20,30)When Eurokey system is associated to a coin validator,the following options shall be selected to define the cor-rect use in relation to the type of validator employed. Inparticular the following shall be defined:- Type of Outputs. A coin validator can return on its

outputs the value of the recognized coins in differentmodes:-Not present. Select this option if no coin validator ispresent-Parallel. Select this option if the validator uses the6-output parallel standard.-Binary. Select this option if the validator communi-cates in the 4-bit binary mode.-Confida Binary. Select this option if the validatorcommunicates in the 6-bit binary mode, of which bits1 and 6 are controls and bits 2,3,4,5 are the code.

Factory setting = Parallel outputs- Enabling levelAccording to the validator used, select its enabling levelbetween:

-High-Low

Factory setting = low (RM5 level)

Values (10,20,30)In this section the single values of coins to be managedby Eurokey shall be set. In any case the values to be setshall be consistent with the values programmed on thecoin validator.On a coin validator up to 15 different coins can be set (ifthe associated validator works in binary mode)Factory setting = 0,10 to 2 € coins

Prices (10,20,30)In the price menu the entire sale policy can be set. Inparticular it is possible to:- Define the cash sale price on Cash Price 1 line.- Define the (Sale) Discount with Key that can be

selected among Percentage, Fixed or Manual.- Define the max. cash ceiling that can be introduced

on any other Cash Price line. If not specified, theSystem will assume the cash price value already defi-ned on line 1 as maximum and will inhibit the coinvalidator once the value present on price line 1 is rea-ched or exceeded. This function is particularly usefulfor 20 or 30 versions where multiple credits can beused.

- Enable the use of a Discount Key to which a Fixed orPercentage reduction will be applied.

UK- Enable and define two Sale Time Bands privileged

with discounts (fixed or percentage). Every TimeBand will therefore be characterized by:-Start. Set the start time of the discount period-End. Set the end time of the discount period-Discount. Select between Fixed or Percentage-Value. Enter the desired discount value. If the cho-sen Discount is Fixed the value will be expressed in€, if it is chosen in percentage the value will beexpressed in %.-Key only. It is an additional option defining whe-ther the Time Band discount is applicable only toKey sales or to cash sales as well.

Bonus (10,20,30)Eurokey Plus can dispense Bonuses as additional credit.The Bonus is characterized by some options:

-Value. It is the credit charged on the key at theBonus conditions.-Frequency. The bonus can be dispensed daily ormonthly.

-Activation. The bonus can be dispensed withoutcondition (always) or further to a recharge-Accumulation. It is possible to establish that theBonuses are summed although not yet consumed(Accumulation) or not. In this case when the bonusconditions take place, the remaining amount of thebonus is verified and a quantity is added to take thebonus back to its full value.-Max. Value. If an Accumulation Bonus is selected,a Max. Value of credit to be accumulated can behowever set.

Factory setting= bonus disabled

Black List (10,20,30)It is possible to disable up to 20 Keys by entering therelevant serial number in the fields. The Keys entered inthese fields will be permanently disabled, i.e. no sale orrecharge operation will be possible.Factory setting = no key disabled.

Our products are guaranteed for a period of 12 months. The serial number on the label will apply.The buyer will no longer be covered by the warranty incase of buyer's default in the payment of the price.The guarantee will not be applied in the following cases:- Tampering of the label with the serial number of the

machine.- Damage or breakage caused by transport.- Damage or breakage caused by vandalism, natural

disasters or malicious actions.- Wrong installation or misinstallation of the product.- Unsuitable or anomalous electric plants.- Carelessness, negligence or incompetence in the use

of the product.- Non-compliance with the operating instructions.- Interventions for presumed defects or convenient

checks.- Unauthorized interventions on the product.

Repair interventions are carried out in our Gessate prem-ises (transport at sender's charge). Comestero Group willcarry out no intervention whatsoever at the customer'spremises without prior agreement .

Reference is anyway expressly made to the general war-ranty conditions and terms that can be found in our web-site www.comesterogroup.it or available on request.Any returned unit for repair shall include a detaileddescription of the defect.The parts will be returned carriage forward or carriagecharged.At the expiry of the guarantee our After Sale service willhowever remain at your disposal for telephone informa-tion.

7 LIMITS OF USE

The disposal, if any, of the product shall be carried outin full compliance with the regulations in force.Separate packing materials (paper/plastic) from the pro-duct and separately dispose them in the relevant author-ized dumps.

8 PRODUCT DISPOSAL

- Before installing EuroKey Plus make sure that thepower supply is compatible as described in section 4(Technical Features).

- During the installation of EuroKey Plus make surethat it is not placed near highly condensed or poten-tially inflammable jets, sprinklings or vapours.

- Do not use extensions or cables different from thoseincluded in the supply.

- Do not use EuroKey Plus under conditions not inclu-ded within the limits described in Section 4(Technical features). In case of doubt, call aComestero authorized service centre.
