IL LAGO

Il bacino svizzero del Lago Maggiore, nel quale si specchiano Locarno,

Ascona, Brissago e altri piccoli villaggi, è ricco di luoghi naturali

assolutamente eccezionali. Davvero notevole il Parco Botanico delle Isole di

Brissago, con i suoi incantevoli giardini con fiori e piante provenienti dai 5

continenti. In riva al lago, a due passi dal centro di Locarno, si trova il Parco

delle Camelie, con oltre 900 specie di camelie alcune delle quali molto rare.

Sulla sponda opposta del lago si trovano la riserva naturale delle Bolle di

Magadino, rifugio di numerose specie animali e vegetali e il Parco del

Gambarogno, situato in collina

con magnifica vista panoramica

su lago e montagne.

Die Schweizer Seite des Lago Maggiore, an deren Ufer Locarno, Ascona, Brissago und weitere

kleine Ortschaften angesiedelt sind, fällt durch zahlreiche Naturbesonderheiten auf. Der botanische

Garten der Brissago-Inseln etwa, mit seinen bezaubernden Blumen und Pflanzen aus 5

Kontinenten, ist tatsächlich bemerkenswert. Am Seeufer, nahe dem Stadtzentrum von Locarno,

befindet sich der Kamelienpark mit über 900 verschiedenen, teils äußerst raren Kameliensorten.

Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seeseite dehnt sich das Naturschutzgebiet Bolle di Magadino aus,

Refugium für vielerlei Tier- und Pflanzenarten, und am Hang darüber hat der Park des

Gambarogno mit einer herrlichen Sicht über See und Berge seinen Platz.

LE LAC

Le bassin suisse du Lac Majeur dans lequel se reflètent Locarno, Ascona, Brissago et

autres petites bourgades, est riche d’espaces naturels absolument exceptionnels.

Grâce à ses plantes et fleurs provenant des cinq continents, le Jardin Botanique des Iles

de Bissago est vraiment remarquable. Au bord du lac, à deux pas du centre de Locarno se

situe le Parc des Camélias avec plus de 900 espèces de camélias dont certains rarissimes.

Sur la rive opposée du lac se trouvent la réserve naturelle des Bolle di Magadino, refuge de

nombreuses espèces du monde animal et végétal ainsi que le Parc du Gambarogno, sis en

colline avec une vue magnifique sur lac et montagnes.

The Swiss part of Lake Maggiore, surrounded by the towns Locarno, Ascona, Brissago and

further small villages, prides itself on its numerous and extraordinary nature beauty spots.

Thanks to the enchanting flowers and plants from all 5 continents, the Botanical Garden of the

Brissago Island is of major importance. Near the lakeshore and the centre of Locarno lies the

Camellia Park with over 900 species of this beautiful flower, some of which very rare.

On the opposite shore of the lake are located the natural reserve Bolle di Magadino,

a refuge for different animal and plant species and, on the hillside, the Park of Gambarogno,

with great views over the lake and mountains.

Le località affacciate sul lago offrono innumerevoli luoghi d’interesse storico

e culturale. La Città Vecchia di Locarno, con le sue chiese, il Castello

Visconteo e il Rivellino; il Santuario della Madonna del Sasso

ad Orselina; Ascona, con il Monte Verità, il Museo d’Arte Moderna,

le gallerie d’arte disseminate nei suggestivi vicoli pedonali del borgo;

la Fabbrica Tabacchi a Brissago ed altri ancora. I battelli della compagnia di

navigazione NLM offrono la possibilità di raggiungere questi luoghi

incantevoli in modo comodo e piacevole. Per gli amanti dell’acqua,

numerose sono le attività

sportive da praticare e

non mancano belle spiagge

dove concedersi un bagno

rigenerante.

Die Ortschaften am See sind reich an Sehenswürdigkeiten von historischem und kulturellem

Interesse: die Altstadt von Locarno mit ihren Kirchen, dem Visconti-Schloss und dem Rivellino

genannten Festungsturm; die Wallfahrtskirche Madonna del Sasso in Orselina;

in Ascona der Monte Verità, das Museum für moderne Kunst, die in den malerischen Gassen

des Ortskerns verstreuten Kunstgalerien; die Tabakfabrik in Brissago und vieles mehr.

Mit den Schiffen der Schifffahrtsgesellschaft NLM lassen sich diese reizvollen Orte bequem

erreichen. Für Wassersportfreunde besteht ein reichhaltiges Angebot und es mangelt auch nicht

an schönen Strandbädern für ein erfrischendes Bad.

Les localités situées sur les rives du lac offrent d’innombrables lieux d’intérêt historique et

culturel. La vieille ville de Locarno et ses églises, le Château Visconti et le Rivellino;

au dessus de Locarno à Orselina le sanctuaire de la Madonna del Sasso; Ascona et le

Monte Verità, le Musée d’Art Moderne et les galeries d’art parsemées le long de

charmantes ruelles; la Fabrique de Cigares à Brissago etc. Les bateaux de la compagnie

de navigation NLM permettent de rejoindre aisément ces endroits enchanteurs. Pour les

passionnés de sports aquatiques, les activités sont nombreuses et les belles plages pour

une halte rafraîchissante ne manquent pas.

THE LAKE

The towns on the lake are of historical and cultural importance. In the Città Vecchia, the old town

of Locarno, you can visit several churches. Other important locations of Locarno are the Visconti

Castle, the Rivellino and the Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso in Orselina.

In Ascona you can visit Monte Verità, the Museum of Modern Art and several art galleries located

along pedestrian alleys. In Brissago you will find the Tobacco Factory. You can reach these

charming sights taking the comfortable and pleasant boats of the NLM company.
