Methodology, quality, and modelsAbout these lectures

Our methodology is based on lectures with presentations, web navigation, and shared discussions on the relevant topics. In fact, we will start today considering the concept of quality

d h d d d laccording to the ISO, and proceed to introduce a quality evaluation meta-model based on the good old, classical loci. We will use this quality evaluation meta-model to draw a

lit l ti d l f ifi ll d i d t quality evaluation model of ours, specifically designed to evaluate tourism destination websites.

By the way what is “a model”?By the way, what is a model ? “In the most general sense, a model is anything used in any way to represent anything else.” – Wikipedia, Conceptual model, 20122012 “A conceptual model is the underlying belief structure held by a person about how something works.” – Donald A. Norman, Living with Complexity 2011

Tourism, digital, and networksAbout these lectures

We will consider our context, i.e. the digital world, identifying bl i f bilit t k ti problems, spanning from usability to marketing devices, as mobile communication is today very important places, including georeference and the GPS people that is legal matters like privacy and copyrights people, that is legal matters like privacy and copyrights insights, or how to analyze what we do on line.

Before going into details we will see we need a network approachBefore going into details, we will see we need a network approach. Networks among computers, webpages, or people; How networks behave – according to an influential phisicist; Why a network model should be usefully assumed
