Lamore per la tradizione e per il nostro passatohanno ispirato il ritorno a quello stile raffinato e

intramontabile che il liet motiv de I Grandi

Classici, un progetto che nasce da un attento

lavoro di studio dei decori delle dimore storiche

europee in strettissima simbiosi con la cultura e la

passione per il legno.

Dalla spina antica alla spina ungherese, dalle

composizioni Chantilly e Chevron alle nobili

Versailles, I Grandi Classicipropongono una linea

di pavimenti in legno che richiama i fasti di un

illustre passato ma anche il recupero o lavisitazione in chiave decisamente moderna di

certe pavimentazioni della seconda met del

Novecento francese, dal gusto particolarmente

deciso e adatte soprattutto ai grandi spazi abitativi.

It was love for tradition and for our past whichinspired a return to that refined, timeless style

which is the recurring theme of I Grandi Classici,

a project born from a dedicated study of the

decorations of historical European homes, in

strict symbiosis with culture and passion for

wood.

From antique to Hungarian herringbone, from

Chantilly and Chevron compositions to the noble

Versailles, I Grandi Classici propose a line of

wood floors which recall the splendour of an

illustrious past, but also recycling or revisiting ina decidedly modern key certain floors from the

second half of the French twentieth century, of

very bold taste and especially suitable for large

living spaces.

oggi le composizioni trovano largo consenso

anche in ambientazioni di stile contemporaneo.

I Grandi Classicigarantiscono la personalizza-

zione dellambiente grazie ai particolari effetti

ottici che producono.

Le composizioni possono essere utilizzate anche

per correggere alcune irregolarit geometriche

dello spazio abitativo in funzione della vasta

gamma di geometrie di posa proposte, sia di

gusto classico che artistico.

Verso la fine de l Medioevo si diffuse la predilezione per laccostamento,

nei pavimenti in legno, di specie diverse per essenza e per colore. Ne

nacquero vere e proprie opere darte cromatiche, capaci di creare

schemi a disegni molto originali e di grande calore. Dalla met del XVII

secolo in avanti fu sviluppata la tecnica dellintarsio, utilizzando legni rari

e pregiati.

Per rispondere al rinato gusto per il bello, per il raffinato e lesclusivo, I

Grandi Classici propongono sia quadrotte con composizioni di specie

legnose diverse fra loro e con contrasti cromatici di grande effetto, sia

quadrotte con decori ad intarsio, anche su disegno originale ed esclusivo

del cliente, conferendo al tutto un tocco di stile inimitabile.

Towards the end of the Middle Ages there was a growing preference for

wood floors that combined together species that were different in

essence and tone. This gave life to real chromatic artworks, able to create

very original design schemes, and also capable of creating great warmth.

From the middle of the XVII century onwards, the marquetry technique

was developed, using rare and precious wood.

To meet the renewed taste for aesthetics, for the refined and the

exclusive, I Grandi Classici

species that are different from one another and with contrasts of great

effect, and tiles with marquetry decoration, even following an original and

exclusive design made by the client, for a touch of inimitable style.
