Questa serie è un tributo al più classico simbolo della lavorazione muranese: il pastorale è il ricciolo che in queste foto viene presentato in un’elegante versione dalle trasparenze cristallinee. Petenà reintrerpreta il Pastorale in chiave moderna inserendolo all’interno di una composizione molto semplice. Una sorta di minimalismo di forme, per quanto possibile quando si parla di vetro veneziano, si accompagna con armonia alla serie di supplementi d’arredo Dama Bianca.

This line is a tribute to the most classical of symbols defining Murano workmanship: the pastorale is the scroll that is presented in these photographs in an elegant version showing crystal transparencies. Petenà reinterprets the Pastorale in a modern key by inserting it within a very simple composition., As far as possible when talking of Venetian glass, a sort of form minimalism harmoniously accompanies the Dama Bianca line of furnishing accessories.

Un’atmosfera soffusa, grazie alle luci che puntano al soffitto, come candele e fiaccole. Lampadario, piantana e lampada da tavolo sono elementi discreti, dalle forme semplici, ancor più nella versione qui presentata: nero,

inserti come luna dai riflessi argentei e la preziosità delle foglie trasparenti del lampadario.Sospiri come il ponte che separava Casanova, relegato nelle prigioni dei Piombi, dalle amate Dame di Palazzo

Ducale. Ecco perché Sospiri è pensata in abbinamento alla linea di complementi Dama Nera.

A suffused atmosphere, thanks to the lights pointing towards the ceiling, like candles and torches. Chandelier, floor and table lamp are discrete elements with simple forms, even more so in the version shown here: black,

inserts like the moon with hints of silver and the preciousness of the transparent leaves of the chandelier. Sospiri or “Sighs” like the bridge that separated Casanova, consigned to the Piombi prison, from the much loved ladies of

the Doge’s palace. This is why Sospiri has been designed in combination with the Dama Nera accessory line.

Le pieghe di bracci e coppe della serie Doge si rifanno agli abiti del ‘700. La resa è massima nelle varianti del rosso oro sia in trasparenza, che lascia spazio alla magnificenza di riflessi colorati, che negli inserti opachi in ricordo delle preziosità del velluto.L’ambientazione qui a lato dimostra come la serie si accompagni in armonia con gli oggetti Sogno mille bolle.

The pleats of the arms and cups in the Doge line are reminiscent of the clothes of the 18th century. Maximum yield is to be found in the gold-red variants both in transparency, that gives way to the magnificence of coloured hints, and in the opaque inserts, reminiscent of the preciousness of velvet.The setting opposite shows how the line harmoniously accompanies the objects of the Sogno mille bolle line.

La linea di lampadari Settecento è la più elaborata, e con i suoi ornamenti, soprattutto i boccioli pendenti, rappresenta lo stile di un secolo segnato da forti contrasti ma ancora fortemente

ancorato alla maestosità dalla Serenissima. Una versione viola di una shakespeariana “dark lady” che si addice ad un’altrettanto shakespeariana linea Sogno mille bolle viola.

The Settecento chandelier line is the most elaborate and with its ornaments, the hanging buds in particular, represent the style of a century marked by strong contrasts, but still strongly anchored

to the majesty of the Serenissima Republic. A violet version of a Shakespearian ‘dark lady’ that goes sublimely with a similarly violet Shakespearian Sogno mille bolle line.

Carnevale è la “ciocca” per eccellenza: il lampadario a bracci soffiati a mano, adorno di fiori multicolori.Sin dal Medioevo al Settecento lo si poteva ammirare nei più sontuosi palazzi veneziani. Oggi Petenà celebra l’allegoria delle eleganti sale dei balli di un tipico carnevale multicolore, proponendolo nella sua forma più tradizionale da soffitto (3-5-6-8 luci) da accompagnare all’applique, alla lampada da tavolo e alla piantana.

Carnevale is the ‘gem’ par excellence: the hand blown arm chandelier decorated with multicoloured flowers. Since Medieval times and up to the 18th century, it could be seen in the most sumptuous Venetian palaces. Today Petenà celebrates the allegory of the elegant ball rooms of a typical carnival bursting with colour and proposing it in the more traditional ceiling version (3-5-6-8 lights) to accompany wall, table and floor versions.

Proprio la possibilità infatti di intervenire direttamente e manualmente sul prodotto ci dà la capacità, di realizzare pezzi preziosi grazie all’uso di materiali di alta qualità, sia di creare forme e accostamenti di colore infinite e personalizzabili a seconda delle richieste del cliente. L’unicità di ogni parte degli oggetti proposti è la testimonianza di una lavorazione svolta esclusivamente a mano non è quindi da considerarsi un difetto nella produzione bensì un’esaltazione estetica del prodotto stesso. La nostra Azienda è quindi attenta ad ogni esigenza per una collaborazione sincera e duratura, pronta a cogliere le innovazioni del mercato ma sempre ligia alla tradizione dell’Arte Muranese.

Our company has been working in the artistic glass decoration field for nearly half a century, using the ancient processing techniques of Murano’s master glassmakers handed down from father to son. Decorazione Vetro Petenà can supply unique hand-made pieces created using traditional processing techniques practiced by Murano’s master glassmakers of BLOWN GLASS to realise chandeliers and GLASS MELTING for gift and fancy goods. The very ability to intervene directly and manually on the product enables us to make precious pieces thanks to the use of high-quality materials, in both the creation of forms and the matching of infinite and customisable colours according to customer’s re-quirements. The uniqueness of each part of the available objects is testimony to the manufacture carried out exclusively by hand . Therefore, it must not be considered a production fault, but rather an aesthetic exaltation of the product itself. Our company pays great attention to every requirement in order to achieve a sincere, long-lasting collaboration, ready to take market innovations on board, but always faithful to the tradition of the Arte Muranese.

Il vetro veneziano è sinonimo di raffinatezza e leggerezza e vanta una storia millenaria dai risvolti affascinanti. Il primo documento che attesta la presenza di vetrerie in Venezia risale all’anno 982, più di mille anni fa. Le tradizioni vetrarie bizantina ed islamica si incontra-no in Venezia, luogo di intensi scambi commerciali tra l’Europa e le sponde meridionali ed orientali del Mediterraneo: nella Repubbli-ca lagunare l’esperienza tecnica trova una fortunata energia creativa che dà origine ad oggetti di grazia e qualità mai più superate. A causa dei gravi rischi d’incendio derivanti dalla lavorazione del vetro, la Serenissima dispose il trasferimento di tutte le fornaci vetra-rie sull’isola di Murano, staccata dal corpo urbano della città cresciuta sull’acqua. Per secoli le più importanti casate nobiliari d’Europa commissionano suppellettili, oggetti e bicchieri talmente importanti per estetica e fattura da essere ancora oggi gelosamente conservati in Musei e collezioni private. La maestria dei vetrai veneziani si esprime da sempre con pochi strumenti, attraverso semplici attrezzi in ferro: il vetro veneziano è un vetro “lungo”, cioè permane in condizioni di lavorabilità per un tempo discretamente lungo prima di dover essere riposto nel fuoco. Ciò permette le complesse manipolazioni e la soffiatura in spessori sottili, elementi distintivi della ricca produzione vetraria veneziana. L’arte e le tecniche dei maestri vetrai si trasmettono solo “andando a bottega”, proprio come accadeva nell’artigianato medioevale: pur studiato scientificamente, il vetro veneziano ha un’anima culturale, uno spirito creativo che passa alle nuove generazioni solo attraverso la fatica, l’umiltà, la presenza attenta e fedele al fianco dei migliori artigiani/artisti lagunari.

Venetian glass is the epitome of refi nement and transparency, and its fascinating history and legacy dates back more than a thousand years. The oldest document confi rming the presence of glassmaking in Venice is dated 982AD, over a thousand years ago. Byzantine glassmakingtraditions played a role in the development of the art in Venice, then a bustling centre of trade between Europe and the southern and eastern shores of the Mediterranean. The Venetian artisans were so highly skilled that they gained great control over the colour and transparency of their glass and mastered a variety of decorative techniques that enabled them to produce objects whose elegance and quality have never been equalled. Towards the end of the thirteenth century the Venetian Republic ordered all glassmakers to move their foundries to the island of Murano, due to the risk of fires. For centuries Europe’s most prominent aristocratic families commissioned objects, vases and glasses of such exquisite aesthetics and handcrafting that today they are housed in museums and in private collections. In the making of their highly creative glassware Murano glassmasters still use the simple tools that were used in the past like pliers, blowing pipe, iron rods and clippers. Venetian glass is in fact a ‘long’ type of glass, i.e. it remains soft for a relatively long time before it has to be placed in the furnace. This is important for hand-working because it allows the glassmaker more time to shape the material, to blow it into thin layers and to employ the many complex techniques that distinguish Venetian glassware and make it stand in a class of its own. The art and techniques of master glassmakers are han-ded down andando a bottega, that is ‘only by learning in the shop’ from the masters, exactly like in the medieval times. In fact – in addition to employing and refi ning many technologies – the art Venetian glassmaking includes a cultural aspect, a creative force that is handed down to the new generations only through hard work, modesty, great dedication and attention to the work carried out.
