Many pages of corrections sent to the ship all in one time;
Binders of paper on the desk of the Official;
Several hours passed to consult the Weekly Notices to Mariners
in order to select the most urgent corrections;
High possibility to make mistakes, due to the large amount of
work to do;
Risk not to pass the vetting inspections.
ALL THESE DIFFICULTIES BELONG TO THE PAST, WITH
ERACLEA WE SAIL TOWARDS THE FUTURE.
Eraclea Diginotices to Mariners is one of the most efficient services
available on the market, because it simplifies the process of updating of
all the nautical charts and the publications sent by UK Hydrographic
Office. The Eraclea Software has been thought and developed by a
group of experts in the field of telecommunications and navigation.
Eraclea permits to keep constantly updated all the charts published by
UKHO, Admiralty Sailing Directions, List of Lights and Fog Signals
List of Radio Signals and also all the other publications corrected every
week in the Weekly Notice to Mariners issued by UKHO.

Every week the program on board receives the updating from our office
within 24 hours from the issue of the Admiralty.
The Official has not only the possibility to examine just the corrections
relevant to it’s chart outfit, but also to select for geographic area, for
number of page, for Weekly, for Chart and publication.
In a few seconds the program
generates the inventory of the
charts and of the publications
which are on the ship and warns
the operator every time that one
of them has been published again,
has been replaced, or cancelled.
Simply by clicking Eraclea
fills in the whole Paper
Chart Maintenance Record
(Admiralty log NP 133 A),
Warnings, and indicating those already done.
quoting for each chart the

T&P Notices and Navigational Warnings section
The T&P section presents a list of all the Temporary and Preliminary
corrections relevant for the ship, and by selecting one of them it is possible to
examine the text of the correction which is included in the Weekly. The system
also underlines the cancelled Notices.
The Navigational
Warnings contains a
list of all the
Navigation Warnings
published by the other
world Hydrographic
Offices and published
again by the British
Admiralty.
As in the T&P
section, also here
the system
underlines the
cancelled notices
and it manages to
remove them
automatically from
the NP 133 A log.

there are the lists of the amendments and of the publications used by
the Weekly Notices.
For these publications is also available a version of the software with

possible to find the catalogue with all the volumes published by the
UKHO, in which the user can select those really available in the

Inventory, Voyage, Other Updates sections
In the Inventory section it is possible to consult the whole catalogue
(weekly updated) from the charts published by the UKHO. The operator
can select among the charts of the list those available on board, in order
to filter the weekly corrections, examine for each of them the status of
the correction (standard or T&P), examine the replaced or republished
charts.
The Voyage section permits to fill in, in a very simple and quick way,
the list of the charts to be examined during the journey. It permits to
filter the corrections in each relating section, according to the charts
used for the journey.
In the Other Update section there are all the other information and
corrections which are not related to the publication examined before,
such as the Catalogue of Admiralty Charts (NP 131).
