Technical specifications.

1.- water absorption SIERRAGRES manufactures Group AIIa 1 flooring, i.e. with a level

of water absorption between 3% and 6%. Although daily tests carried out in our laboratory show the average level of water absorption to be below 2.4%.

2.- bend resistance The value required by the standard for Group AIIa 1 gives a

minimum bend resistance value of 20 N/mm2. SIERRAGRES is way above these values; in the daily tests carried out in our laboratory, over 75% are above 40 N/mm2 with peaks above 60 N/mm2 (higher than most porcelain tiles). This is what makes them so hard and resistant to cutting.

3.- resistance to surface abrasion The enamelled tiles manufactured by SIERRAGRES are all made

using the same enamels (frits), and only the colours and their application methods change, so the quality and hardness of their enamels are all similar. Tests to determine the surface abrasion use a method to observe scratching that involves the effect of a light shining on the item in question. This method penalises the darkest items compared with the lighter colours. For its lighter colours, SIERRAGRES offers a PEI of V Type, and depending on how dark the colour gets, the worst value reached would be PEI of II Type.

4.- frost resistance Apart from complying with standard UNE EN ISO 10545-12,

SIERRAGRES also carries out another personalised test that is much more aggressive than the testing required in the previously mentioned standard, as well as complying with all the tests carried out since the year 2002. All tests are carried out at its Laboratory that has been certified by ENAC (the Spanish Accreditation Body) / AITEMIN (Spanish Association for Research and Industrial Development of Natural Resources).

5.- slip resistance Since the Spanish Technical Building Code (CTE) came into

effect, and in order to limit the risk of slipping, section SU 1 of that code lays out a classification according to the use that the flooring is going to have. For this classification, the parts are tested to obtain values (RD) that will give us the class of Slip Resistance that will apply to our material, so the following values are indicated:

Los pavimentos de SIERRAGRES® pertenecen al grupo AIIa-1, según la clasificación que establece la norma UNE EN 14411:2006Son Baldosas Extruidas en Vertical mediante el Sistema Spaltplatten (dobles), cuya cocción se realiza en Horno túnel durante 24 horas aprox., lo que les confiere unas Características Técnicas sólo compa-rables a un porcelánico, por su Dureza, Resistencia a Flexión, Resis-tencia a las Heladas, etc…

SIERRAGRES® floors belong to group AIIa-1, under the classification indicated in the standard UNE EN 14411:2006.These tiles are vertically extruded using the Spaltplatten method (double tiles) that have been fired in a tunnel oven for approx. 24 hours, which awards them certain technical characteristics that are comparable only to porcelain, for their Hardness, Bend Resistance, Frost Resistance, etc…

1.- absorción del agua SIERRAGRES fabrica Pavimentos del Grupo AIIa 1, es decir con

una Absorción de agua comprendida entre el 3% y el 6%. Si bien, de los ensayos diarios que se realizan en nuestro Labora-torio la media de Absorción está por debajo del 2,4%.

2.- resistencia a la flexión El valor requerido por la norma para el Grupo AIIa 1 da un valor

mínimo de resistencia a la flexión de 20 N/mm2. SIERRAGRES está muy por encima de esos valores, en los ensayos diarios que se realizan en nuestro Laboratorio, más del 75% de ellos están por encima de 40 N/mm2 y con puntas superiores a 60 N/mm2 (superior a la mayoría de los Porcelánicos). De ahí su extremada dureza y resistencia a ser cortados.

3.- resistencia a la abrasión superficial Las Baldosas esmaltadas fabricadas por SIERRAGRES, se

fabrican todas con los mismos Esmaltes (Fritas), y sólo se modi-fican los colores y la forma de aplicarlos, por lo que la calidad y dureza de sus Esmaltes son similares.

Los Ensayos para determinar la Abrasión superficial usan un método por observación del rayado mediante la incidencia de una luz inclinada sobre las piezas. Este método penaliza a las piezas más oscuras respecto de las más claras. Pues bien, SIERRAGRES presenta para sus colores más claros un PEI de Clase V y en función de lo que se oscurezca el color puede llegar en el peor de los casos a PEI de Clase II.

4.- resistencia a las heladas SIERRAGRES además de cumplir la norma UNE EN ISO

10545-12 que se exige, realiza otro ensayo Personalizado y mucho más Agresivo que el exigido en la Norma, en el Labora-torio Certificado por ENAC (AITEMIN), cumpliendo igualmente en todos los Ensayos realizados desde el año 2002.

5.- resistencia al resbalamiento Desde la entrada en vigor del Código Técnico de la Edificación

(CTE), en la sección SU 1, se determina con el fin de limitar el riesgo de resbalamiento, una Clasificación adecuada al Uso que van a tener los Pavimentos. Para ello se realiza un ensayo sobre las Piezas, del que se obtienen unos valores (RD) que nos darán la Clase de Resistencia al resbalamiento que tienen nues-tros materiales, así pues se relacionan los siguientes valores:

SIERRAGRES presenta para sus colores más claros un PEI de Clase V y en función de lo que se oscurezca el color puede llegar en el peor de los casos a PEI de Clase II.

recomendaciones de colocación laying recommendations

1.- Para conseguir una buena armonía de tonos, se deben mezclar los contenidos de diferentes cajas.

2.- Las baldosas se colocarán alineando las ranuras posteriores en el mismo sentido.

3.- La junta entre baldosas debe ser mayor de 10 mm. para un buen acabado.

4.- La colocación debe realizarse por profesionales. Se recomienda utilizar el hilo en la medida mayor de la superficie a cubrir, situándola en el centro de la junta de mortero para servir de referencia en la colocación de las baldosas. (No es aconsejable el uso de crucetas de plástico en las esquinas por las pequeñas variaciones de calibre ± 2 mm.)

5.- Se realizarán las juntas de dilatación (cada 12/15 m2) “BIEN HECHAS” en las superficies expuestas a la intemperie.

4.- The laying must be carried out by professionals. It is recommended to use the thread on the higher measure of the surface to be covered, placing it in the middle of the mortar joint to be a refer-ence on the tile-laying process. (The use of plastic crossheads in the corners is not advisable due to slight caliber changes ± 2 mm.)

5.- Expansion joints will be set (every 12/15 m2) “in the right way” on those surfaces exposed to the elements.

2.- El material de agarre debe cubrir completamente la pieza, para evitar malos asientos y riesgo de rotura, debiendo tener unas características adecuadas con el producto y con el lugar.

3.- Las juntas, en zonas de riesgo de heladas, deben realizarse con materiales elásticos e impermeables.

Si el material suministrado no corresponde a la calidad requerida el cliente tiene derecho a reclamar la eliminación del defecto o el suministro de un nuevo material sin defectos. Los defectos únicamente visuales, que no afecten a la capacidad para el uso previsto autorizan al cliente a reclamar únicamente una disminución del precio.

En caso de variaciones en el tono, declinamos toda responsabilidad en tanto en cuanto el material esté colocado.

No nos hacemos responsables de las consecuencias de una planifi-cación incorrecta y de una colocación inapropiada, ni de los daños ocasionados por una limpieza no conforme o con productos inapro-piados.

Solamente nos hacemos responsables de los productos suministrados como 1ª calidad. Declinamos cualquier responsabilidad en caso de Clases comerciales, sobre todo en caso de propiedades insuficientes de resistencia al hielo o a los ácidos, de abrasión, de defectos de esmaltado, etc. ya que se trata expresamente de un material suscep-tible de presentar dichos defectos. No aceptamos ninguna responsabi-lidad sobre productos que se hayan sometido a un tratamiento ulterior.

4.- notificación de defectos-reclamaciones

Tras el suministro, la mercancía debe ser examinada para verificar si corresponde con la que se ha pedido. Las posibles reclamaciones deberán hacerse por escrito (con recepción eficiente) en un plazo de 7 días. Los defectos que sean visibles únicamente después de desembalar la mercancía, deben señalarse también por escrito como muy tarde 6 meses después del suministro de la mercancía, y en cualquier caso antes de la colocación del material. En caso de que no se comuniquen los defectos y/o se coloque el material, la mercancía se considerará recibida y aceptada; de esa forma, cualquier derecho a indemnización desaparecería. Sólo se aceptarán reclamaciones vía carta certificada, dentro de los 8 días siguientes a la recepción del material.

La mercancía objeto de reclamación debe ser puesta a nuestra dispo-sición para una inspección de su estado en el momento de la reclama-ción; si se está realizando la colocación del material, se interrumpirá de inmediato.

Si la reclamación se refiere a material ya colocado, declinamos cual-quier pago de indemnización, en tanto en cuanto se haya procedido al levantamiento del material sin nuestro permiso previo por escrito.

Any defects that are only visible after unpacking the goods must also be indicated in writing within 6 months of the goods’ supply, at the latest, and always before the material has been put in place. In the event that the defects are not notified and/or the material is put in place, the goods shall be considered to be received and accepted; in this way, any right to compensation shall be lost. Claims shall only be accepted if they have been sent by registered letter within 8 days after the material has been received.

The goods that are the object of said claim must be made available to us in order to inspect their condition at the time of the claim; if the material is being put in place, then said application shall be stopped immediately.

If the claim refers to a material that has already been put in place, we will not accept any kind of compensation payment should the material have been applied without our prior written permission.

Esto se aplica también a los créditos futuros o condicionales. Aunque aceptemos letras de cambio o cheques, nues-tros créditos solamente serán satisfechos con el pago irrevocable de la letra o el cobro irrevocable del cheque.

All the material supplied remains the property of SIERRAGRES until all the Buyer’s debts have been fully settled, particularly those resulting from unpaid invoices, to which we are entitled in the area of commercial relations.
