Luogo ospitale e pieno di storia in cui la grande civiltà nuragica innalzò i meravigliosi monumenti del villaggio-san- tuario di Romanzesu, uno dei maggiori centri archeologici dell’intera Isola, e dove si stabilirono gli antichi Balari che sfidarono il potente Impero Romano. Il centro barbaricino è famoso in tutta l’Isola per la maestria dei cori che tramandano l’arte dell’antico canto “a tenore” proclamato dall’UNESCO “Patrimonio intangibile dell’Umanità”. Il Comune ha dedicato a questa celebre tradizione musicale un museo multimediale in cui è possibi- le ascoltare le composizioni più conosciute e acclamate provenienti da varie aree dell’Isola. In una delle sale si trova un ingegnoso sistema di totem che riproduce le 4 voci: bassu, contra, boche e mesu boche. A multitude of paths wind along the Bitti area, allowing the discovery of natural oases full of lush forests, enchanting landscapes among granitic mountain peaks and wonderful water sceneries of waterfalls and small lakes. Bitti is a friendly place rich in history thanks to the great Nuragic civilization that built the splendid monuments of Romanzesu sanctuary-village, one of the biggest archaeological sites of the entire Island, where the ancient Balares who revolted against the powerful Roman Empire settled. Barbagia centre is famous in the whole island for the mastery of its choirs that keep alive the art of the ancient “tenor” singing, declared “Intangible Heritage of Humanity” by UNESCO. Una miriade di sentieri si snodano lungo il territorio di Bitti alla scoperta di oasi naturali, ricoperte da rigogliose foreste, scenari incantevoli tra picchi granitici e meravigliosi scorci acquatici formati da cascate e laghetti.

Luogo ospitale e pieno di storia in cui la grande civiltà nuragica innalzò i meravigliosi monumenti del villaggio-san-tuario di Romanzesu, uno dei maggiori centri archeologici dell’intera Isola, e dove si stabilirono gli antichi Balari che s�darono il potente Impero Romano.

Il centro barbaricino è famoso in tutta l’Isola per la maestria dei cori che tramandano l’arte dell’antico canto “a tenore” proclamato dall’UNESCO “Patrimonio intangibile dell’Umanità”.
