    Read the following cautions and warnings prior to installation and use of this product.

    1. HEED WARNINGS- Adhere to all warnings on the unit and in the operating instructions.

    Installation and servicing must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance withlocal codes and regulations.

    To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the wall/ceiling inaccordance with the installation instructions.

    To prevent damage to the interface board, follow standard industry precautions forelectrostatic discharge sensitive devices.

    Consider using a UPS source to ensure satisfactory performance.

    Using replacement parts or accessories other than the original manufacturers mayinvalidate the warranty.

    2. INSTALLATION

    Install in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.

    Installation and servicing should be performed only by qualified and experienced technicians to conform toall local codes and to maintain your warranty.

    Do not install the unit in an extremely hot or humid location, or in a place subject to dust or mechanicalvibration. The unit is not designed to be waterproof. Exposure to rain or water may damage the unit.

    Any wall or ceiling mounting of the product should follow the manufacturers instructions for the mount usedand use best installation practice appropriate for the structure and material the mount is being attached to.

    3. POWER SOURCES- This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on themarking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supplied to your facility, consult your product dealer orlocal power company.

    4. HEAT- Situate away from items that produce heat or are heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves,or other products (including amplifiers).

    5. WATER AND MOISTURE- This product is designed for indoor use only. Do not use this unit near water or in anunprotected outdoor installation, or any area classified as a wet location.

    6. MOUNTING SYSTEM - Use only with a mounting system recommended by the manufacturer, or sold with the

    product.7. ATTACHMENTS- Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may result in

    the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

    8. ACCESSORIES- Only use accessories specified by the manufacturer.

    9. CLEANING- Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.

    Prior authorization must be obtained for all returns, exchanges, or credits. Items shipped to Honeywell without aclearly identified Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number may be refused.

    Contacts

    Contacts can detect a door opening or window breakage, for example. Using the on-screendisplay (OSD), you can program up to four normally open or closed conditions to activatea preset, preset tour or mimic tour. For wiring connections, see Connecting the OptionalContact Input Wiring on page 39and for OSD settings, see Configuring Contacts/Alarms(Optional) on page 67.

    Note The term contactandalarmare used interchangeably to mean the same

    thing.Alarmis displayed on the OSD, although contactis a better descriptionsince it is not an audible alarm but a change in electrical state to the contactsresulting in a programmed response.

    Flashback

    Use the Flashback feature to toggle between two saved positions and quickly return to ascene of interest.

    Flashback is available using a controller. When you press Flashback, it saves the scene(Scene A) as a Flashback. When you move to the next scene (Scene B) and pressFlashback again, it saves Scene B and returns the dome to Scene A. If the operator pressesFlashback a third time (without manually moving to a new scene), the dome returns toScene B. The dome only saves and toggles between two scenes at a time, except whenFlashback is used during a preset tour. See Using the Flashback Preset on page 50.

    Mimic Tours

    A mimic tour saves the pan, tilt, and zoom commands performed by a user. When a mimictour is started, the dome replays the saved commands. A mimic tour is useful when

    operators are interested in scanning slowly to a particular area on a regular basis. You canprogram up to three (3) mimic tours up to 120 seconds (two minutes) each. See ConfiguringMimic Tours on page 60.

    Presets

    The ACUIX ES supports over 64 presets, and each preset can have a 24-characteralphanumeric name. There are two types of presets: A special preset that is a shortcut to afunction, for example, opening the OSD menus; and an operator created/programmed setof commands (pan, tilt, zoom, focus, and iris setting). The programmed preset is recalledin response to a contact or set as the default function when the dome is idle for a specified

    time. Individual presets can also be part of preset tours. See Configuring Presets and PresetTours on page 61.

    Preset Tours

    Up to three (3) preset tours can be programmed for each dome and up to 24 presets, withvelocity settings and dwell times for each preset, can be programmed into every presettour. Preset tours can be started by an operator, in response to a contact, or programmedas a default function when the dome is idle for a specified amount of time.

    Operators can run the preset tour once or continuously. If an operator runs a preset tourcontinuously, the dome goes from the last preset to the first preset. The preset tour repeatscontinuously until an operator manually controls the dome (pan, tilt, zoom, focus, or iris) orthe dome receives a preset, preset tour, mimic tour, or find home command. SeeConfiguring Presets and Preset Tours on page 61.

    Privacy Zones

    Privacy zones enable operators to restrict the view in a specific area, for example privateproperty, windows visible across alleyways, swimming pools, or dressing rooms. A mask(colored box) covers the video display when the dome acknowledges it is passing through

    a privacy zone. Privacy Zone data is stored in nonvolatile memory, which saves the datawhen the dome is not powered.

    The number of available privacy zones is camera dependent. For the Sony FCB EX-45Ccamera, up to 24 privacy zones can be programmed. See Configuring Privacy Zones onpage 63.

    The use of a Privacy Zone password or PIN is available depending on the protocol:

    For MAXPRO-mode, VCL, VCL UTC, Pelco P and Pelco D protocols, privacy zoneprogramming is protected by a four digit numeric PIN. The default PINis 1000.

    Diamond/IntelliBus: Up to 24-alphanumeric characters can be programmed as apassword. The default password is a blank line.

    Sectors

    Sectors are used for labeling an area monitored by a dome. For example, when you aremonitoring an exit door, add the label ExitDoor. Whenever the dome is positioned over thisarea, ExitDoordisplays on the monitor.

    You can label up to 16 sectors and the sectors can overlap. If the operator positions the

    dome where one or more programmed sectors overlap, the dome sequences between theSector titles on the video display for 1.5 seconds per Sector. See Configuring Sectors onpage 66.

    Important Information About Protocols

    In general, protocols allow cross compatibility between products and manufacturers.Because the ACUIX ES PTZ dome is designed to work with a variety of controllers, DVRsand other hardware, deciding what protocol to use when setting up a system is challenging.It is also not possible to describe all the tasks using all combinations of protocols andhardware. Therefore, these instructions are a supplement to the hardware users guides andare based on the use of the Honeywell HJZTP joystick controller.

    Note The HJZTP Controller User Guide indicates it can be set to either VCL orDiamond protocols. The ACUIX ES default protocol is MAXPRO-mode forNTSC and VCL RS485 protocol for PAL.When in NTSC andfor the HJZTP

    Controller and Protocol Compatibility

    The ACUIX ES is compatible with the following controllers and protocols:

    When ACUIX ES is network connected to a PC-based DVR (such as the Honeywell RapidEye) and set to the IntelliBus protocol, you can:

    Download an ACUIX ES configuration to a PC for later use: After completing the userprogramming of the dome (presets, mimic tours, preset tours, and privacy zones), you canupload the configuration data to a PC for safekeeping.

    Upload an ACUIX ES configuration to another dome of the same camera model: Theconfiguration can be saved on a PC and uploaded to a replacement dome if required. TheACUIX ES configuration has camera model specific parameters so the configurationuploads (retrieving data from a faulty dome) and downloads (sending data to a new dome)must be between two domes with the same camera model.

    Upgrade the firmware to one or more ACUIX ES PTZ domes in your network.

    Cabling Recommendations and Cautions

    Cable preparation should be completed prior to the installation. Each dome requires 24VAC at 1 A or 12V DC at 1.5 A. The power supply should be located as close to the dome aspossible for service and electrical isolation purposes. In situations where the power supplyhas to be installed remotely, seeTable 1-5for wire gauges and distances. See Table 1-6forthe recommended power supplies for use with the indoor ACUIX ES.

    If required, refer to other hardware installation guides to determine cabling requirementsbased on the individual configuration. See Finding More Information on page 13.

    General Cautions and Notes for All Cable Installations

    Note For all cables:

    The quality and specification of any cable used has a direct effect on thequality of the video signal at the control equipment end of the system.Compromising the cable quality and specification can lead to poor videoquality and system performance.

    When other cables cannot be avoided, run cables perpendicular to eachother, not alongside, and keep this distance as short as possible.

    Faulty cable or wiring can cause all domes to fail or malfunction.

    If several domes are powered from a single power source (multiple tap) and noiseis experienced on the TP video output, then an isolated power supply should beused to correct the problem.

    Never run the cables close to potential sources of electromagnetic interferencesuch as motors, dimmers, and high-speed data trunk cables.

    For CE compliance, the power supply must be connected to a CE-approved 240VUPS (uninterruptible power supply). See Table 1-6for a list of the power supplieswhich must be used to meet FCC and UL requirements.

    Always keep coaxial cables away from all other cables and run them in completeisolation wherever possible.

    If running a separate CAT5 cable specifically for CCTV, ensure it is clearlyidentified to prevent confusion with network and other structured cabling.

    Video Coaxial Cable

    Video CAT5 Cable (UTP Transmission)

    CAT5 cabling for video transmission allows multiple domes to be transmitted down thesame multicore CAT5 cable without dome video interference or crosstalk. Table 1-8showsthe distances and UTP options suitable for ACUIX ES domes. Requires one wire pair perdome. It can support up to four domes on a single CAT5 cable.

    Adhere as closely as possible to the following recommendations when installing with CAT5cable and UTP receiving equipment.

    A UTP receiver module must be used at the control end of the system for every domethat is transmitting video via CAT5. A UTP hub can be used to receive up to 16 domesusing CAT5 cable.

    PTZ telemetry is possible when a passive UTP receiver module or hub is used at the

    control end of the system. If an active receiver is used at the control end of thesystem, then RS485 telemetry must be used. This requires another single twisted pairper dome.

    When wiring via twisted pair, always ensure that you are actually using a twisted pairby examining the cable. Failure to use wires from the same pair leads to noiseintroduction and subsequent video and telemetry problems.

    The CAT5 cable used must not be shielded/screened in any way, either by foil,braided shield, or any other means. The use of any cable other than unshielded CAT5may lead to a reduction in performance and is solely the responsibility of the installer.

    RS485 Twisted-Pair Telemetry

    When using RS485 twisted-pair telemetry, the video signal is transmitted via a coaxial orCAT5 twisted pair cable and the control data (telemetry) information is a twisted-pair cable.

    RS485 twisted-pair telemetry cabling is installed and wired as a network that consists of oneor more daisychains. When more than one daisychain is installed, an RS485 telemetrydistribution unit must be installed to broadcast telemetry data across the entire RS485network. Multiple distribution units can be installed on the RS485 network to allow forcomplex wiring arrangements.

    The recommended RS485 cable is a 20-gauge unshielded twisted pair cable. This cable isa single twisted-pair overall shield and the maximum distance for a daisychain is up to 4000feet (1219 meters). These cables are available in a series of overall outer sheaths fromstandard internal usage finishes to external containment and direct burial types.

    Star wiring configurations are acceptable with the use of a code distribution unitsuch as Honeywell HDCD8TP.

    Always keep RS485 data cables away from all other cables and run them incomplete isolation whenever possible.

    Couple all data cable shields to data ground at the control point end only. Thecable shields should not be connected at any other point.

    Connect the cable shield at the controller and connect the cable shield through anyjunction boxes installed, but do not connect the cable shield to the dome.

    Coax Control

    The ACUIX ES domes support telemetry control over coaxial cable. The dome must be setto VCL UTC for coaxial telemetry. The telemetry mode is auto sensing. If no RS485

    connection is sensed, then the dome operates via coaxial telemetry.

    Up-the-coax operation of up to 1000 feet (300 meters) is possible with the appropriatecoaxial cable. See Table 1-4for recommended coaxial cables.

    About Setting Switches on the Mainboard

    The ACUIX ES has switches SW1, SW2, SW3, SW4 and SW5 that require setting dependingon the installation. It is also important that settings match the control equipment settings.See Setting the Switches on page 28for defaults and detailed information.

    Use these switches to:

    Set the video selection to UTP or Coax video enabled (SW1). Seepage 33.

    Set baud rate and parity (SW2 positions 1 to 6). Seepage 34.

    Set the protocol (SW3 positions 1 to 5). Seepage 34.

    Set the dome address (SW4 positions 1 to 8). Seepage 35.

    Set the RS485 termination (SW5). Seepage 35.

    DIP Switch Default Settings and Locations

    Note If there are invalid protocol or baud rate settings on SW2 or SW3, the systemdefaults to MAXPRO-mode protocol (NTSC) or VCL RS485 (PAL) and a 9600baud rate (NTSC and PAL).

    Note There is a DIP switch setting label located on the scan assembly that you canrefer to while setting the switches.

    To make good wire contact and ensure the wire does not short to adjacent wires,fully insert the wire in the hole on the terminal strip.

    Ensure there are no bare wires touching or faulty operation may occur.

    Ensure the cabling does not interfere with the rotation of the scan assembly.

    Each dome requires a 24V AC at 1 A or 12V DC at 1.5A 15% power sourcewhen measured at the dome. To maintain 24V AC at 1 A or 12V DC at 1.5A 15% at each dome, the proper wire size for the distance and the number ofdomes must be determined.     Selecting Video Over Coaxial Cable or Unshielded Twisted Pair (SW1)

    1. Locate the video selection switch SW1 on the base of the scan assembly. SeeFigure 2-3.

    2. If required, change from the OFF default by carefully placing the switch in the requiredvideo selection position:

    (Default)COAX Video Enabled: Switch OFF (away from ON)Unshielded twisted pair (UTP) video balun disabled, to be used with normal 75Ohm coax video operation.

    UTP Video Enabled:Switch ON.UTP video balun enabled, to be used with 120 Ohm UTP video operation.

    Control Over Coaxial Cable

    The control equipment adds the data signal to the video coaxial cable. In this case, thereare no connections made at Data+ and Data on the terminal strip P1.

    Video Over Coaxial Cable: Coax Video Enabled

    The video must be terminated in 75 Ohm at the last video device. If the video is not

    terminated or is double terminated, the resulting picture is poor and ghosting is displayed.

    Video Over Unshielded Twisted Pair: UTP Video Enabled

    If the UTP option is selected, the video is run on UTP wire and the BNC connector is not

    used. The video is connected at plug P3, pins 1 and 2 (see Figure 2-3). A UTP-compatiblereceiver is required at the monitor to view and/or record the images.

    For control over coaxial cable, the ACUIX ES must be set to VCL video telemetry (controlover coax) protocol and must be controlled using an HMAX082 or HMAX162 control unitwith HKJMMTP joystick controller.

    The video on the UTP wire cannot be daisychained.

    Connecting the Power and RS485 Data Wiring

    The power and RS485 data wiring plugs for the 5-pin connection are located on the scanassembly. See Figure 2-3onpage 30for the location. Also see Power Distances andSupplies, page 22and RS485 Twisted-Pair Telemetry, page 24for more information.

    Note Ensure the correct connections are made with data pins 4 (-) and 5 (+)otherwise polarity can be an issue.

    A good earth ground must be connected at the 5-pin connector, P1, pin 2. Surge, ESD

    and EMC performance will be compromised if the unit is not connected to a good earthground.

    RS485 Termination and Wiring Switch SW5

    The factory RS485 termination default is unterminated. RS485 communication is terminatedusing switch SW5.

    One pair of shielded twisted pair RS485 wire or one pair of unshielded twisted pairwire can be used for RS485 data.

    The data lines can be daisychain wired (see Figure 2-4) from the control output.Daisychain wiring consists of up to 32 domes per data run with the control output ateither end of the run. The last dome on the end of the data run must be terminatedand all intermediate domes unterminated.

    Note Each RS485 port on the HDCC8TP must be treated individually as if each oneis on a separate piece of equipment.

    The plugs for the 3- and 9-pin connections to the contact inputs are located on the scan

    assembly. See Figure 2-3onpage 30for the location. If contact devices are connected tothe dome, they should not be connected to the contact connector until all domefunctionality has been fully tested. Contact device activations could cause confusion duringthe initial testing stages.

    Installing the Dome

    Note Each dome requires a 24V AC at 1 A or 12V DC at 1.5A 15% power sourcewhen measured at the dome. To maintain 24V AC at 1 A or 12V DC at 1.5A 15% at each dome, the proper wire size for the distance and the number ofdomes must be determined.

    Follow the instructions to install either an:

    Indoor pendant or surface mount.

    In-ceiling for a dropped or hard ceiling.

    Installing Indoor Pendant or Surface Domes

    The following explains how to install either a ceiling or wall mount with the indoor pendantor surface mount. The cover and lower dome installation is the same for both. SeeFigure 2-6.

    Note All ACUIX ES pendant/surface mount shipments include both the skirt and topcap. Use the part appropriate to the installation; the other is a spare part.

    In addition to the other items normally supplied by the installer, the following may berequired for the surface installation:

    Tape or plastic channel to prevent dust and material from falling from the ceiling.

    Mounting hardware appropriate for your installation surface.

    How to Install a Pendant or Surface Dome

    1. Select a location to install the components and applicable mount and run the fieldwiring through the skirt or top cap:

    Indoor Pendant (ceiling or wall mount)a. Drill the mount hole size into the ceiling or wall. For ceiling and wall mount hole

    dimensions see Figure 2-6.

    b. Before securing the mount to the wall or ceiling, pull the field wiring through themount, ensuring that it extends at least 12 inches (305 mm) past the end of thepipe.

    c. Pull the field wiring from the mount through the top cap (Figure 2-5) and cut thecable length to 6 inches (152 mm).

    d. Screw the housing top cap into the wall or ceiling pipe.

    Surface (using the skirt)

    a. Pull the wires through the skirt wiring access hole and mount the skirt on the

    ceiling using the appropriate hardware.b. Finish pulling the field wiring through the skirt. Cut the cable length to 6 inches

    (152 mm).

    2. For all installations, complete Setting the Switches on page 28.

    3. Finish connecting the wiring to the scan assembly:

    a. Attach the lanyard from the top cap or skirt to the scan assembly.

    b. Remove the terminal plugs from the back of the scan assembly (Figure 2-3).

    c. Screw the wires into the plugs.

    d. Plug the connectors back into the scan asssembly.

    e. Optional Connect BNC (for coax) (see Figure 2-3).

    f. Secure the scan assembly to the top cap or skirt using the three provided 8-320.375 Pan Phil machine screws.

    4. For both installations, align the three hooks on the cover with the three holes on theinside of the top cap or skirt. Rotate the cover until it is secure inside the top cap orskirt. See Figure 2-7for an example.

    5. For both installations, align the two holes on the lower dome with the two screw holeson either side of the scan assembly. Use the two screws provided to secure the lowerdome to the scan assembly.

    Tape or plastic channel to prevent dust and material from dropping from the ceiling.

    Safety cable - a 3/32 (approximately 2.4 mm) plastic coated aircraft cable with alooping sleeve is recommended.

    How to Install an In-ceiling Dome for a Dropped or Hard Ceiling

    1. Select a location to install the in-ceiling dome(s).

    2. Prepare the ceiling and/or ceiling tile:

    Hard Ceiling

    Using the mounting template, cut a 7 5/8 (194 mm) diameter hole in the ceiling.If the ceiling is drywall or plaster, it is recommended to seal the entire perimeter ofthe hole with tape or plastic channel to prevent dust and material fromcontaminating the camera.

    Dropped (False) Ceiling

    a. Remove the ceiling panel at the dome location.

    b. Place the ceiling tile on the dropped ceiling plate (Honeywell part number517082-7130).

    c. Trim the ceiling tile and press it into the dropped ceiling plate.

    d. Using the mounting template, cut a 7 5/8 (194 mm) diameter hole in the ceilingtile flush with the hole in the center of the plate.

    3. If required, secure a safety cable to a building supportstructure. Attach the safety cable (from the buildingsupport structure) to the outside of the housing by:

    a. Threading the safety cable through a loopingsleeve,

    b. Attach to the safety cable bracket on thehousing,

    c. Back through the looping sleeve, and then

    d. Crimp the looping sleeve to secure the safetycable.

    4. Unsnap/remove the cable can and complete Setting the Switches on page 28.

    5. Finish connecting the wiring to the outside of the scan assembly housing (Figure 2-9):

    a. Remove the plugs and screw the applicable wires into the plug holes.

    b. Press the plugs back into the holes.c. Optional Connect BNC (for coax).

    6. Pull all the wiring from the plugs through the cable can wiring hole. Ensure the wiringextends at least 12 inches (305 mm) past the end of the hole and cut the cable lengthto 6 inches (152 mm).

    7. Tighten the wire clamp to hold the wires in place (see Figure 2-8).

    8. Snap the cable can back into place by inserting the two tabs on the cable can into thetwo holes on the scan assembly housing to secure it. See Figure 2-9.

    9. Insert the cable can and housing through the hole in the ceiling.

    a. Turn the wing tab turning screws to make sure the space between the wing tabson the housing and the housing flange is greater than the thickness of the ceiling.See Figure 2-8.

    To increase the space, turn the screw clockwise.

    To decrease the space, turn the screw counterclockwise.

    b. Make sure the wing tabs on the housing are staggered so the tabs are not at thesame height See Figure 2-10.

    c. Position the wing tabs flat against the housing.

    d. Using a Phillips screwdriver, turn the three screws in the housing clockwise torotate the tabs out and tighten the tabs against the ceiling.

    The recommended maximum torque is 11.25 N-m (Newton meters) or0.740.92 lbf-ft (pound-force-foot) or 8.85 11.06 lbf-in (pound-force-inch).

    10. Insert the trim ring into the inside of the scan assembly housing and rotate it until thethree hooks on the trim ring are aligned and secure underneath the three round tabs.See Figure 2-11.

    11. Install the lower dome.

    a. Attach the lanyard from the lower dome to the inside of the housing.

    b. Align the two holes on the lower dome with the two holes on either side of thescan assembly.

    c. Use the screws provided to secure the lower dome to the scan assembly.

    Step 1: Prepare the Controller and Monitor for Use

    Before making configuration changes with any controller, you need to:

    1. Ensure the dome is assigned to the controller being used. Refer to the applicablecontroller user guide for instructions.

    2. Confirm video is displaying on the monitor.

    3. Confirm there is manual control of the dome using the controller. To manuallycontrol an ACUIX ES and pan, tilt, zoom, focus, and iris, the address must beselected as the control dome. If the dome ID is turned on (see Displaying the Dome(Camera Msg) Number on the Monitor on page 53), then the letter M is displayed onthe monitor.

    home/index position before responding to the first pan, tilt, and zoom command. For allprotocols the operator can send any command to the dome, but what happens when thedome is first turned on depends on options as listed in Table 3-1.

    To find home (MAXPRO-mode or Diamond protocols)

    On the controller, press and hold the Fn key, then press F1.

    Note For other protocols (VCL, VCL UTC, Pelco P, Pelco D and IntelliBus) there isno command to find home during regular operation.

    Step 3: Learn How to Use the Special Presets

    There are several special presets reserved for controlling and programming the ACUIX ES.See Programming Preset Tours on page 61to program new presets.

    A maximum of 100 presets (including special presets) are supported. Various presets areavailable for programming with all protocols with exceptions as noted in Table 3-2.

    To exit or escape from a menu (VCL):

    The monitor displays press Iris Close. Press Iris (-).

    Turning the Pan and Tilt Speed Range (PASS) ON and OFF

    Select 3 Control Options > 1 PASS >ON(default) or OFF.

    PASS is a function of the lens zoom angle. Themaximum pan and tilt speeds are reduced when thelens zooms in. For example, the pan and tilt functionsare slow when the dome is set at 12X zoom. The higherthe zoom magnification, the slower the speed.

    Turning the Auto Pivot ON or OFF

    1. Select 3 Control Options > 2 Auto Pivot> ON(default) or OFF.

    Track people passing directly underneath the dome.The dome automatically turns 180 when it reaches itslower limit. It continues to tilt up as long as the controller

    tilt function remains in the down position. When thedome reaches its tilt up limit, it returns to normaloperation.

    Changing the Degree of the Manual Pan and Tilt Speed

    Select 3 Control Options > 4 Set Pan and TiltOptions> 1 Manual Speed deg/s > 90 /sec or180 /sec or 360 /sec (default).

    The maximum tilt speed is half of the maximum panspeed.

    Turning the -2 Tilt Limit ON or OFF

    Select 3 Control Options > 4 Set Pan and TiltOptions> 42 Tilt Limit > ONor OFF(default).

    ON positions the dome tilt to 2 above horizontal.

    Finding the Mechanical Home on Startup

    1. Select 3 Control Options > 4 Set Pan and TiltOptions> 5 Find Home on Startup >

    2. Select ONor OFF(default).If you select ON, the message ExtremeCaution: This will cause the scan tomove immediately on startup...displays.

    SelectY(yes) to continue or N (no) to cancel.

    ON sets the dome to find the mechanical home (orindex) position after an initial startup delay of 15seconds.

    OFF sets the unit to find home when powered upand the dome performs a control command.

    When a privacy zone is enabled, no video isshown during the finding home process andprivacy zones are not recognized until the domereaches home. Once the dome finds home, apicture can be viewed on the monitor unless aprivacy zone overlaps with this home setting. See

    Configuring Privacy Zones on page 63.
