Abideck® è il risultato di anni di ricerche e sviluppo portati avanti da AbidA in collaborazione con Imago Furniture LTD di Hong Kong.

Un materiale quasi incredibile per le prestazioni, le caratteristiche meccaniche, la lavorabilità, il suo aspetto estremamente naturale e la morbidezza al tatto, quasi come fosse un legno pregiato.

Ed è proprio questo il suo segreto: sembra legno, ma senza i maggiori problemi del legno.

Come è fatto Abideck®?

Ovviamente la formulazione è riservata, ma il suo componente primario è uno scarto dell’agricoltura, ossia la lolla del chicco di riso combinata con polimeri vergini.

Ne deriva un impasto denso ed omogeneo, che viene lavorato per estrusione.

Questo permette di realizzare profili sempre nuovi anche su specifiche e disegno del cliente.

Abideck® is the result of years of research and development carried out in teamwork by Imago Furniture Ltd in Hong Kong and AbidA S.r.l.

An almost unbelievable material for performances, mechanical properties, workability natural look and soft to the touch, almost like a fine tropical wood.

And that’s the secret: it looks like wood, but without the major problems of wood.

How it’s done? Obviously the formula is confidential, but its primary component is a waste of agriculture,such as rice husk, combined with virgin polymers.

The result is a dense and homogeneous mixture, which is processed by extrusion.

This allows you to create always new profiles even on specific customer design or request.

MY35 è un concept di A-Sign studio, nato dalla matita del giovane yacht designer Francesco Struglia.

Si tratta di un mega yacht innovativo nel design e nel concetto di eco sostenibilità, essendo dotato di pannelli fotovoltaici a prua di superficie tale da assicurare la produzione di energia sufficiente per illuminazione e condizionamento della barca.

Proprio per la sensibilità verso l’ecosistema, Abideck® è stato scelto come materiale per i decking dei vari ponti esterni, oltre che per i parquet e le boiserie dei saloni e delle cabine armatore e vip.

Un altro grande esempio della flessibilità di impiego di Abideck®!

MY35 is a concept of A-sign studio, created by the young

Di che cosa è fatto Abideck®?Abideck® è composto da una mistura di polimeri vergini (pvc) e scarti di lavorazione agricola (gusci di chicchi di riso) amalgamati attraverso un procedimento innovativo e segreto a formare questa incredibile materia prima, che viene lavorata per estrusione.

Come si lavora l’Abideck®?Si lavora come il legno, in tutto e per tutto, utilizzando gli stessi utensili . Abideck® può essere tagliato, forato, carteggiato, incollato e verniciato come si trattasse di un pezzo di teak.

Qual’è la misura dell’Abideck®?Abideck® può essere realizzato in moltissime forme e dimensioni, a seconda dell’applicazione. Per maggiori informazioni, contattare il nostro ufficio.

Come posso mantenere il mio Abideck® sempre bello e pulito?Esattamente come il legno, Abideck® può essere macchiato da grasso, vino o altri elementi;

se possibile intervenire subito sulla macchia con normali detergenti domestici. Ove questo non dovesse bastare, si può eliminare la macchia carteggiando delicatamente con carta abrasiva da 40-60, sempre e solo in direzione della venatura. Raccomandiamo l’applicazione del trasparente protettivo, che protegge dallo sporco e rende la pulizia più facile.

Abideck® è antiscivolo?Si, anche nel lato liscio Abideck ha una altissima classificazione antiscivolo

Abideck® è resistente all’acqua salata ed al cloro ?L’assoluta insensibilità di Abideck verso l’acqua, sia essa di mare oppure con cloro, lo rende ideale per installazioni quali pontili, moli, piscine ed ovunque l’acqua costituisca un problema per i legni.

Posso installare Abideck® da solo ? Si, ma consigliamo vivamente di far eseguire l’installazione dai nostri rivenditori specializzati, che conoscono perfettamente le caratteristiche

del materiale e le procedure di montaggio, oltre ad avere la giusta esperienza ed attrezzatura per realizzare un lavoro perfetto.

Quanto pesa il decking system Abideck®? Ogni listone da 2744mm pesa circa 8,5kg; il peso a m² è circa 30kg, compresa la sottostruttura.

Abideck® è un prodotto ecosostenibile?Si. Abideck non contiene legno, pertanto non contribuisce alla deforestazione necessaria invece alla produzione di essenze pregiate come teak, ipé lapacho, balau e simili. La lolla del riso fa parte di un ciclo di rinnovamento estremamente breve ed inoltre è un materiale destinato ad essere bruciato e di conseguenza a produrre CO2

Abideck® si può rompere? E si può riparare?A seguito di urti molto forti la tavola può essere danneggiata, ma può essere facilmente sostituita.

What is the Abideck® composition ?Abideck® consists of a mixture of virgin polymers (pvc) and agricultural waste products (rice husks) and mixed through an innovative and classified process to form this incredible material, processed by extrusion.

How Abideck® is processed ?Is processed like wood, with standard wood working machines. Abideck® can be cut, drilled, sanded, glued and painted as if it was a piece of teak.

What is the Abideck® size?We can supply Abideck® in many shapes and dimensions, according to the application you want to realize. If you wish to have more details, please contact our office.

How can I keep my Abideck® nice and clean?Just like wood, Abideck ® can be stained by grease, wine or coffee; if possible,act immediately on the spot with a normal household cleaner. If the stain resists, you can remove it by sanding lightly with sandpaper to 40-60,always in the direction

of the grain. We recommend the application of one or more layers of protective transparent, which protects it from dirt and makes cleaning easier.

Is Abideck® skid resistant ?Even on smooth side, Abideck has the highest anti-skid resistance classification

Does Abideck® stand sea water or chlorinated water?Abideck is not affected in any way by water, because it does not absorb any of it. This unique feature makes Abideck the perfect choice for docks, piers, floating pontoons, pools and wherever water creates problems to timber.

Is Abideck® a DIY product?Yes, but we strongly recommend you let one of our dealers, which perfectly knows material characteristics and assembly procedures, do the installation. Last but not least, our dealers have the proper equipment and experience necessary for the perfect installation

How heavy is Abideck decking system? Each 2744mm deck weighs approx. 8,5kg

(18,7lbs); wieght per square meter is approx. 30kg (65lbs), runnner included.

Is Abideck® a sustainable product?Yes. Abideck contains no wood, so does not contribute to deforestation unlike the production of quality timber like teak, Ipe Lapacho, Balau and others. The rice husk is a renewable source that can be replaced in short cycle ; furthermore is a material intended to be burned and to produce CO2

Abideck® can be broken? Can be repaired?As a result of very strong shocks,a plank can be damaged, but can be easily replaced.

Finiture / FinishingAbideck® è fornito non finito, così da poter lasciare libera scelta dei colori da utilizzare.

Con le nostre colorazioni è possibile ottenere la finitura desiderata, proteggere la superficie e rinnovarla ogni volta lo si desideri.

Raccomandiamo l’applicazione del trasparente protettivo, in quanto protegge il materiale da sporco e macchie, rendendo facilissima la sua pulizia.

Si applica sia su prodotto non finito che verniciato.
