Internal R&D departmentIn order to continuously improve our products and deliver our famous high quality, at SEAC® we have an internal R&D department. Our designers boast extensive expertise in the sector and work with some of the most advanced design and development systems in existence. Our staff supports every phase of our industrial design with help from expert consultants who also have vast experience in the diving sector. But products are of the finest quality only insofar as the materials used to make them are equally exceptional. That’s why our company produces the components for our products using materials like rubber, liquid silicone, and technopolymers. What’s more, our fins, masks, and snorkels are manufactured in modern facilities under the careful eye of staff with long-standing experience.

Logistics and shippingBuilding on the changes we made in response to new challenges and a constantly evolving market, in 2014 we revised and reorganized our logistical and production departments. We brought new technologies and new management systems online to make our shipping and supply department work better and more efficiently as we continue to serve the entire world. CONTROLLI DI SICUREZZA | SECURITY CONTROLS

Senso di fatica e accumulo eccessivo di CO2 all’interno del circuito di respirazione possono portare a conseguenze potenzialmente gravi anche durante attività a basso impatto fisico come lo snorkeling.Per questo motivo SEAC® segue due principi fondamentali per la progettazione delle sue maschere da snorkeling integrali, le cosiddette full face mask:• l’impiego dello sforzo respiratorio da parte dell’utente deve essere il minimo possibile, paragonabile a quello naturale,

fuori dall’acqua e in una situazione di relax; • il livello di anidride carbonica CO2 residuo all’interno del facciale durante la fase di inspirazione deve essere ben sotto ai

limiti di sicurezza.

Pur non essendoci ancora una normativa europea specifica che regoli la produzione delle maschere integrali da snorkeling, SEAC® ha sviluppato una serie di test specifici attenendosi ai valori previsti dalle seguenti normative europee:• EN 1972:2015 stabilisce i requisiti per la progettazione e produzione di tubi snorkel, limitatamentea gli sforzi respiratori;• EN 16805:2015 stabilisce i requisiti per la progettazione e produzione di maschere per la subacquea;• EN 136:2000 stabilisce i requisiti requisiti minimi per la produzione di maschere intere di protezione respiratoria,

limitatamente ai test di controllo della CO2 nell’aria inspirata;• EN 250:2014 relativa agli autorespiratori per uso subacqueo a circuito aperto ad aria compressa e ai suoi componenti,

limitatamente ai test di controllo della CO2 nell’aria inspirata.

Nei laboratori SEAC® i lotti di full face mask vengono testati con macchinari Ansti specifici per la misurazione delle performance dinamiche della respirazione umana e con apparecchiature proprietarie SEAC® per il controllo del livello di CO2 presente nell’aria inspirata attraverso le maschere.

Tutto questo permette di offrire all’utente finale la miglior esperienza di snorkeling possibile, in tutta sicurezza; perché con le maschere integrali SEAC® divertirsi è naturale, come respirare!

A feeling of fatigue and a build-up of CO2 in the respiratory system can lead to potentially serious consequences, even during low-impact physical activities like snorkeling.That’s why SEAC® abides by two fundamental principles in designing its full-face snorkeling masks:• the user should need to employ the least possible breathing effort, comparable to natural breathing, out of the

water and in a relaxing situation; • and the level of residual carbon dioxide CO2 inside the skirt while inhaling must be well below the safety limits.

Even though there is no specific European regulation governing the manufacture of full-face snorkeling masks, SEAC® has developed a series of specific tests that comply with the values set forth by the following European regulations:• EN 1972:2015 establishes the requirements for the design and manufacture of snorkel tubes, limited to breathing effort;• EN 16805:2015 establishes the requirements for the design and manufacture of dive masks;• EN 136:2000 establishes the minimum requirements for the manufacture of full-face respiratory protection masks,

limited to tests checking the CO2 in inhaled air;• EN 250:2014 regarding open-circuit compressed-air self-contained breathing apparatus and its components, limited

to tests checking the CO2 in inhaled air.

In the SEAC® labs, batches of full-face masks are tested with Ansti machines, specifically to measure the dynamic performance of human breathing, and with proprietary SEAC® equipment to check levels of CO2 in the air inhaled through the masks.

All this makes it possible for us to offer the end user the best possible snorkeling experience, in complete safety, because with SEAC® full-face masks, having fun is as natural as breathing!
