Higher scores are not necessarily better – it just means that the animal has the potential for more of that trait. DG = Average Daily Gain - genetic potential for rate of gain.TN = Tenderness - Represents an animals genetic potential for tender-ness, “10” being the most tender.MB = Marbling Score - USDA Choice has minimum marbling require-ments. Marbling points indicate how much intramuscular fat is present in the carcass and thus propensity to make the Choice grade.CH = Quality Grade - Higher scores are more likely to fit into prime grades. The Igenity profile reflects the percent grade.YG = Yield Grade - Lean yield is an estimation of the percentage of the carcass that is red meat - this is not dressing percentage.
